The historic center of Sibiu is still partially enclosed by its original 12th-century medieval walls. Begin your visit in the Piata Mare, home to the Brukenthal Palace, containing the main halls of the Brukenthal National Museum. Descend the Passage of the Stairs down into lower Sibiu, and make sure to be on your best behavior as you cross the Bridge of Lies. A trek in the nearby Făgăraș Mountains will lead you past breathtaking ridges and serene glacial lakes.

I loved the view from the window of my room, above the beautiful city Sibiu. I really recommend the breakfast and the coffee they serve there. The room was clean and comfortable. Reception staff is well trained and very helpful. I will be back for sure and Hermanns Hotel will always be my choice from now on.

You can enjoy our garden and terrace, and we also provide private parking.
Don’t let the understated exterior fool you! You know you’ve stumbled upon a gem the moment you walk through the door and are greeted by its capable proprietor Raul. He and his wife couldn’t have been more accommodating from start to finish!! He helped us carry our heavy bags n park our big van in the hotel’s nearby private parking lot, a huge bonus. We were glad to be a short 5-minute walk off of the noisy n crowded square on a quiet little street. Rooms were very tastefully done, spacious, clean, and supplied every need. Breakfast was bountiful, complete with homemade marmalade n bottled water for the road. Lovely garden to enjoy it in or just a cozy happy hour. Raul and his wife helped us out with our luggage and back out our van as they bade us farewell. Charming find in a very cool city - definitely worth a repeat!

Casa Luxemburg is an unusual hotel with exceptional rooms looking out over a city that in 2007 was designated European Cultural Capital. Situated in the very heart of Sibiu, Casa Luxemburg still preserves unique architectural elements thus reminding you of initial charm from the 13th century. Each room has its particular style and you can choose to stay in any of them enjoying picturesque views of the Liars’ Bridge, the Evangelic Cathedral or the Council Tower. Come and enjoy a special stay in Sibiu!
I stayed for 2 nights, and wished I could have stayed longer. A friendly greeting at reception, and the room was more of a suite than a room. A large modern bedroom and very comfortable bed. 2 living rooms and a large bathroom. All recently decorated and very nice. There was a/c, fridge, 3 flat screen TVs, safe, tea and coffee making facilities. It was amazing, and all in a beautiful palace in the square, perfectly located for everything in lovely Sibiu. There was also a restaurant and bar attached to the hotel, but also a large range of restaurants nearby. All at a very good price. A beautiful hotel. Definitely recommended.

The "Villa Santa Maria" is a family-run Hotel and opened its doors in December 2006. It is located in a quiet district of Sibiu. The rebuilt airport is also very close. The comfortable house is under German-Romanian management and provides seventeen spacious rooms (five with balcony and wonderful view of the nearby Fagarsch-mountains). Both owners have been working on international cruise ships for many years - their experience and impressions show all over the house. Whether you come to Sibiu for business or vacation - various destinations can easily be reached from here. For your comfort, a private parking area is at your disposal. If you should have any questions, we are happy and always prepared to help you.
For years, when I come to Sibiu, I only stay at Villa Santa Maria. Friendly owners and service. Amazingly decorated rooms and corridors with souvenirs and photos from all over the world. Delicious food, always something different and homemade cakes. You can feel good spirit here.

Ramada Sibiu Hotel****, officially opened in 12th of June 2007, is ideally located right in the medieval city center and close to the local business media. It offers you high quality services for business trips and special like events or functions, in a discreet and hospitable surrounding.
We arrived at reception mid-afternoon. The staff were on reception and we very blunt. No welcome on arrival, just asked for my name, processed the booking, handed me my key and pointed at the lift. A later visit to reception resulted in the cleaner having to get and get a receptionist, different to the one at checkin, who appeared from her office whilst tapping away on her phone. Asked me what I wanted - can I help you would have been better - I asked for tea and coffee supplies. I was told they were in my room (which they were not, hence my request). She grabbed her phone and went back to whatever she was doing when I arrived at reception. The room was far from satisfactory. It was 28 degrees on arrival. A visit to reception was met with a reasonably helpful young man, who assured that he would send a maintenance man to have a look. Several people in our group were raising the same complaint, and getting the same response. It was clear when we returned from walking round the town that nothing had been done. As you can work out from my comments above, there was a coffee machine in my room, but no supplies. We did manage to get some late in the evening when the reception staff had changed, but there was a lot of huffing and puffing about getting the supplies and we were really made to feel an inconvenience. The room was not clean, and actually not complete. The bathroom had a very angry red wall, which was not at all relaxing, and given the experience at reception probably not the right shade of red (Ramada’s brand colour) to have in a room. There was a door missing from the minibar meaning that I had to turn the minibar around as the light would not switch off. The bathroom grout was mouldy and there were lots of pencil marks on the tiles meaning that items were still to be fitted to the bathroom, like towel rails. There was also an ill-fitting shower screen which meant water escaped onto the bathroom floor and into the gaps in the tiles creating an unpleasant aroma. The shower screen was also fitted on the wall such that, if left, it swung open, so to try and limit the water going onto the floor you had to hold the shower screen. Just to finish things off, the water pressure was poor. We had to sleep with the window open because the room was so hot, so it was not quiet. Breakfast was poor. The selection was mediocre, the coffee was poor quality, getting supplies topped up was an effort, and if you had any dietary requirements forget it. The hot items were all swimming in grease, and the pork sausages are to be avoided at all costs. They were vile. The juices were squash, not fruit juices and the breakfast room is very clinical. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was that it’s location is convenient for the old town. Thankfully we were only there one night. This is supposedly a four star hotel. How it gets this classification defeats me. I have stayed in two star hotels that are cleaner and friendlier than this one. It is a dreadful hotel and not one I could recommend to my worst enemy.
