A tasty lunch in this friendly pleasant hotel
Reviewed By JW_DamAfter our walk along the three Schalkenmehren we were hungry and took a lunch here. It was second Christmas day and the restaurant was very crowded, we were lucky, there came a good table free for two persons. The service was very friendly 4/5, we ordered green tea, a Hefenweissen alcohol free and 2 x panfried goose with red cabage, filled fried apple and potatoe dumplings 5/5. The waiting time was more than an hour but the ambiance was good, as remark, tell you guest in advance that the waiting time takes more than an hour, waiting more than an hour but not be informed is annoying. Never the less, we had a good, tasty and cosy lunch. 4/5

Clean, and very friendly people!
Reviewed By DvdmeerStayed here for one night. Visited the Nurburgring for a weekend, and found this place. Its about 20 minutes drive from the circuit. We arrived at 21:00 in the evening, and although the kitchen was about to close, it was no problem to still have diner and a good cold beer. I recommend the Schnitzel! It BIG and very tastefull!. The hotel looks like its just renovated. Everything clean. We were in Room 11, which is on the top floor. The bathroom is small, but the shower is very good. Beds are good as well! We had breakfast and it was very good! plenty of choice of foods. I would stay here definitly again if i visit the circuit again!

Nice place with amazing view
Reviewed By erans84Stayed there for one night. The place is very nice maintain, include breakfast and the back side shows amazing lake view you can see through the window and walk by. Some of the crew could not talk English but delighted to understand and help. The breakfast was nice and we could choose some of the things we would have (eggs for example).

Great night!!
Reviewed By J FSecond time staying here....... had a fantastic time on both occasions, food is great and staff and service is amazing. Coming back 2017!! We would highly recommend Cáfe del Maar. Parking is not a problem and rooms are very clean and tidy. Looking forward to returning in the Summer

Reviewed By chrisj305Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding; superhost! Kamer is adequaat en het heerlijke ontbijt is met persoonlijke service. Rustig gelegen aan de rand van Schalkenmehren, in de nabijheid van diverse restaurants en direct aan de Eifelsteig. Enige minpunt is dat het gebouw (en daarmee de kamer) zeer warm is.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung
Reviewed By Leckeressen_auf_TourWir waren zum 2.mal für eine Woche hier im Urlaub und waren beide male sehr zufrieden. Gut ausgestattete und saubere Ferienwohnungen. Wir hatten jeweils einen guten Ausblick auf das Maar von den beiden oberen Etagen. Der kleine Wellnessbereich war optimal nach langen Wanderungen oder Fahrradtouren. Die Lage ist gut. Der Mosel-Maare-Radwanderweg führt direkt an Schalkenmehren vorbei. Wanderwege gehen auch gleich am Haus vorbei. Wir haben hier zwei sehr schöne Urlaube verbracht.

Tolle Ferienwohnung
Reviewed By Sommer1966Die Wohnung ist modern eingerichtet und komplett ausgestattet. Genial ist der große Balkon, der ums Eck verläuft und einen grandiosen Ausblick auf das Maar bietet. Wir haben die Wohnung zu dritt genutzt, so dass wir froh über die zusätzliche Gästetoilette waren. Im Preis ist die Endreinigung enthalten. Bettwäsche kostet extra. Brötchen und Brot, kann man in einem nahen Café kaufen. Ein morgendlicher Spaziergang, der fit hält, da die Ferienwohnung im Hang liegt. Die Kommunikation mit dem freundlichen Vermieter war, auch im Vorfeld, sehr angenehm. Kleinigkeiten, wie Mülltüten, Tabs für die Spülmaschine oder Kaffeefilter, sind vorhanden. Der Preis ist fair. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Prachtig huisje in mooie omgeving
Reviewed By nnette1968Goed verzorgd en schoon huis, liggend in een prachtig aangelegde tuin. Parkeerplaats aanwezig. Enorme rust en prachtige natuur met veel wandelroutes. Enorm naar ons zin gehad! Je kan heerlijk zwemmen in de heldere meren. Er zijn in het dorpje meerdere restaurants waar je prima kan eten voor een goede prijs. Ook is er bakkertje voor vers brood in het dorp. Voor een grote supermarkt moet je ca 5 km rijden naar bijv Daun.
