O gradina superba. Raportul calitate pret excelent. Sper sa ne intoarcem. We stayed one night at Pensiunea Elena after a 12h hike on the Moldoveanu Peak. Mr Nelu picked us up on the way there. Mrs Elena gave us her best room, at no extra cost. She started cooking dinner for us when we said we were hungry. Food is excellent, strongly recommend the breakfast with home made raspberry jam and garden tomatoes, don't miss the omelet. Cleanliness and amazing care for each guest. Stunning garden, great quality for the price. Hope to come back soon.

Location: 2 km from the Brancoveanu Monastery, a bit shielded from the main road, surrounded with vegetation - with a great view of the stars on a clear night. Venue: clean and confortable, working wi-fi, lots of kids stuff in the garden (swings, slides and trampolines), several wooden pavilions under the trees, grill & bbq, spacious parking. The low rating means: - There is no breakfast. While there are plenty of tables to eat outdoors, the venue offers no food service; the alternative is (at least) 2km away, close to the monastery. - Considering the issue above, the access to the kitchen was very restrictive; I even gave up preparing a cup of tea as it was a very big deal, apparently. - I didn't feel like a guest, but more like a simply paying customer. The staff (aka owners) really need to improve their people skills - especially that now, with all the restrictions enforced by the coronavirus, service is suffering everywhere and the devil is in the details more than ever. I would keep Royal Garden as an option of last resort.

This place is magical. You can reach it via a short dirt road. Once you crossed the wooden bridge over the lovely spring, you’ll see a little garden area with some green and plenty of space to do BBQ for up to 30 people (we tried it, it worked great). By now you’ve definitely been welcomed by the dog and at least by one of the cats of the house and also by Florin, one of the owner (later about him in more detail). The house looks exactly the same as on the pictures. You enter into a long hall. On your right is the huge lunchroom and at the back of it is the well equipped kitchen. Microwave, oven, two huge fridges, all sort of utensils, glasses, plates in the cupboards. The first and second floors are full of rooms. Each has its own bathroom, with a shower cabin, hairdryer and heating. The bedrooms are equipped with with a big cupboard, a massive bed and some chests. We were among the lucky ones and had our own balcony. The view is stunning!!! The area is super quiet, definitely a great place to relax and rest. Breakfast is optional, but it is super tasty, Florin and his wife Veronica were preparing home-made cookies every morning! A little more about Florin. He is super kind, always ready to give us a helping hand and caring! If you kindly ask him, he will bring you food or drinks from the local village, as it is a bit far from the pension. One day we were late and he sent text message to our guide, being concerned where we are. On our last day some of us got sick due to a dinner in a restaurant nearby, and he gave us tee and medicines as well, as soon as he realised what is going on. I’ll always be grateful for him and his wife too, for the hospitality and care they showed towards us the whole week we’ve been there.

A place to remember, clean, quiet, with lots of outdoor space, everything nice, good quality, attentive host. There's not much to say, except that we had better time here than in a 4 star hotel we used after staying at La Nise for 3 nights.

Clean, new, helpful tasteful artistic are just a few things to describe this oasis of peace in the centre of the Fagaras mountains. They are located not even 20 metres from the parking for the Bracoveanu monastery and I believe are the best value in town. Western quality with a local look. A lot of love has been put into the place

The owners were very friendly with us. They helped us with any kind of query we had. They advised us what we can do in the area. They made preparations for our arrival for us, for the birthday party! They have a restaurant where you can serve breakfast. We felt excelent there.

We did not stay here, just had a lunch. We were looking for fish around and this was the closest to the Brancoveanu Monastery. It was entirly empty the moment we arrieved and we left. After, discussing over the matter for a while we decided to give it a try due to my husband's adventurous way of loving and turned around. I did not feel quite comfortable with the idea with having lunch at a place with no guests. But we considered the fact tat we wanted trout and these guys were actually growing and selling fresh trout. It is not a clean place at the inside, no need to mention fhe bathrooms and the stuffy smell everyone, howevere, we ate outside. The service was fast, but hey, we were alone and the fish was actually really well prepared. We opted for grilled and fried trouts with fries and polenta. We were happy with the choice. Also, as we were enjoying our lunch comes kept on coming and people started filling the empty tables. Could be tried if out of options. The prices are low for both food and drinks.
