Reviewed By slang2022the service was unfortunately sometimes extremely poor. the food and drinks orders were forgotten several times or it took forever. unfortunately, the selection for vegetarians was also very small. you should also know that it has a lot of children.

Returning guest and yes things have changed
Reviewed By kellyireland25We have just returned from our 3rd visit to this hotel and this time travelled as a group of 8. Our last visit was just before covid and we were looking forward to returning. Overall we had a good stay but as a returning guest I could clearly see some differences and things that meant where I have always previously rated the hotel 5/5 I now believe it to be still good but 4/5. We were placed in block 10 and on arrival whereas normally you are shown to your room, the guy just pointed in a direction and said your over there, we hadn’t stayed in this block before so didn’t know the way and it was pitch black. On entering the room the walkway had no lights and our safe wouldn’t work, after a trip to reception this was rectified. It was really disappointing that on trying to book the a la carte restaurants for our stay we were advised that all were fully booked and we couldn’t use them. This isn’t really acceptable as this is part of the package and we tried to book the morning after arrival it wasn’t like we left it till later in our stay! I found the reception team rather abrupt and the guys in the main restaurant weren’t up to scratch, took us ages to get a drink a lot of the time. The hotel is clean throughout and please note for any uk guests they are still insisting on masks in all indoor areas. The pool areas were great as was the service during the day around the pool. The pool party was a great addition and really good fun. I’ve always insisted that this hotel is worth the transfer time but with the changes I’ve seen I’m not sure it really is now, there are better closer to the airport hotels. It was a fun holiday with friends, a few tweaks would make it perfect again!

Great relaxing holiday for the undemanding
Reviewed By radekj418This is a small cozy hotel located directly on the beach. It is located in a remote area far from the big cities, so don't expect a promenade and street stalls. However, the remoteness of the location gives the hotel its charm and the hotel has everything you need. The journey from the airport took approximately 50 minutes and there are no places to see or attractions in the vicinity of the hotel, except for a few small souvenir shops. However, the very surroundings of the hotel give a person a pleasantly soothing feeling of relaxation. The beach is sandy and clean, with a gradual but limited entry into the water due to the corals, of which there were really many. It is a place suitable for snorkeling. Beach chairs with mattresses and towels are offered free of charge. Most hotels are oriented with a sea view, but our room (for less money) was without a sea view. Nevertheless, the room was always clean and tidy, with functional equipment and no fault was found for our requirements. Perhaps only except for locking the main door, which was an occasional problem, but we took it with humor. Except for the often confused staff at the reception, we had absolutely no problems with the local staff. On the contrary. These are very nice and helpful people who value their work and will do everything in their power for you without requiring bakshish. We have very pleasant memories of these people. It was also very nice to see that the hotel owner himself very often personally goes around all the visitors to the hotel asking if everything is in order and gladly listened to any complaint or comment. In any case, we would like to use this review to appeal to the hotel owner to provide his staff, PLEASE, regularly with new shoes, as they will really spend the whole day in these shoes. He deserves it! It was a shock to watch the waiters with crumbling or too worn shoes in which they had to spend the whole day. PLEASE! As we are not demanding about the food, we were very satisfied with the choice of food. It did not happen to us that we had the same food for the whole holiday or that the food offered was eaten. From a large selection of vegetables, main course to desserts, one has always been able to choose. also soups were every day to choose from. Iced drinks, coffee and tea were offered for drinks. There was also the possibility of choosing alcoholic mixed drinks, beer or wine. There are two outdoor bars on the beach, where you can also order pizza. The resort of the hotel is rather relaxing, but there are also distraction activities. There is a small swimming pool, fitness center, massages, pedicures, manicures, beauty salon, beach volleyball, chess, petanque, but also activities offered by local tour operators such as sightseeing, snorkeling boat trips to coral reefs, diving and more .. .

Lovely local hotel with relaxed vibe
Reviewed By H7621OAlisamIf you’re looking for an alternative from large all-inclusive resorts and a more local authentic vibe then I highly recommend Lagoonie. The staff are lovely and helpful and friendly. There’s a lovely private well kept beach with sun beds. Egyptian breakfast is included - yoghurt, omelette, Egyptian bread with cream cheese tomato cucumber and butter and jams. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner. Alcohol is available. WiFi is good in the rooms. Rooms are spacious and well kept (although the walls in our bathroom could have done with a good clean). Lagoonie is a few hundred metres from Dune Red Sea diving as well as the marina where all the dive boats leave from - so it’s the perfect location if you want to do some diving. There are also a few cafes and restaurants within walking distance which are safe to walk to at night. Safaga is eerily quiet these days in the face of COVID but it also means we had a lovely peaceful break with the hotel largely to ourselves. A great time to visit is now and help to get the tourist industry back on its feet. Lagoonie is a great value highly recommended option in Safaga.

There was no noise in the area in the evening, so it was possible to sleep perfectly. There was still plenty of food to choose from. I like to eat fish, so I enjoyed, they were on offer for lunch and dinner and always very well seasoned, as well as salads. In fact, all the food very tasty, nice, beautifully arranged. It was still beautifully clean everywhere. Beach clean and well maintained. If I could immediately, I would go back, one of the best vacations I've ever had !!!!

Reviewed By A1321PPchrishWe just stayed 2 days one night Well, the lagoon is amazing but the beach is dirty and really need a good cleaning Service is ok As for the breakfast, it is basic Lunch is a small sandwich Diner however is fine, and homemade Le lagon est magnifique MAIS La plage est vraiment sale, pleine de détritus Le petit dej est simple de chez simple Le snack du midi consiste en un petit sandwich pas terrible à 3 euros et quelques frites Le repas du soir, fait maison, est cependant plutôt bon. Les chambres sont simples Le prix d’une demi pension a 55€ est du coup assez élevé. Le staff est plutôt bien, sympathique et serviable. Mention spéciale pour Mahmoud le beach boy qui est aux petits soins.
