Balance Work with Life at Rockville HotelEVEN® Hotel Rockville-Washington D.C. Area is just steps from the Twinbrook Metro Station, providing easy access to Washington D.C., Baltimore, Gaithersburg, and Glenmont.Take a day trip to Washington D.C.'s famous memorials, tour the Smithsonian Museums and the National Mall. Head to Baltimore and explore the Inner Harbor, and The Maryland Science Center. Bethesda is mere minutes away, offering great shopping and dining options.Business travelers will also be close to Deloitte, GlaxoSmithKline, Kaiser Permanente, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and the National Institute of Health. Our wellness hotel in Rockville features modern guest rooms with in-room fitness equipment, a best-in-class Fitness Center and healthy dining options making it easier than ever to maintain a healthy routine when traveling.
Designed for traveling professionals with a wellness focus, every room in this hotel has its own set of workout equipment within it, including yoga mats, resistance gear, and a ball with a non-carpeted area specifically for their use. This makes it easier for folks to stay in a regular workout routine while here, which for any business travelers out there know that's a difficult task at times. The name comes from all the rooms being even numbered. Not sure why all the hate toward odd numbers, but its less than a minor element and there are stigmas attached to things in hotels so whatever. EVEN brand hotels is more about the healthy lifestyle vibe and reflects this in their food offerings and various amenities throughout the facility. In my month+ stay, I was in two rooms. One had a dresser and the other did not. One had a firm bed and the other was soft. Besides this, the rooms where identical. The facility has very fast internet, great for working professionals, as well as areas to setup equipment in various locations, including a standing location for laptop use. TV's are outfitted with an extra hdmi to make porting to them easier, as its IHG it doesnt support streaming built into the tv setup, but it does have the typical array of local channels. Its also one of the few hotels that is setup for ethernet, making tech positions reliant upon stable signal that much easier. Historically, those of us who work with these types of limitations are restricted to home rentals if we need that kind of stability, so its a nice change in trend if it keeps. The one gripe, which others have commented on, is the parking. With that said, its important to remember where you're traveling before you cast stones. This area, specifically the greater DC area, is heavily developed, and part of that comes with heavy reliance upon parking garages. The parking in the area is also shared with a strip mall of various shops and businesses, so space is at a bit of a premium. That's characteristic of most the locations in this area and you have to head further out to avoid that. Since I've been here I've seen everything from individuals staying for personal and professional reasons, to large groups. The floors are nicely dense, making it harder to hear those above you. The AC unit creates a solid amount of white noise which is just pleasant. The views in the rooms facing north are great, the south side not so much. The pillows are wonderfully comfortable and every room has its own iron and board. All in all, this is a wonderful hotel with a solid staff and facility and an unique set of amenities. Its well positioned for choice of food and close enough to make the trip to DC and still be affordable. Its themed toward traveling professionals and health focused individuals and your appreciation for the hotel will vary based on if you're that target market or not, as is true with all hotels with specific designs. You'll probably like this place if you're a gamer also. Personal shout out to the wonderful staff that had taken such good care of me during my stay, to my front desk brother who I'm always excited to see when hes working the mornings, and to the director of sales- keep up the wonderful work.

This is a tough review to write because this hotel was a case of extremes - so many nice things but some seriously negative things that made our stay unpleasant, which I am unsure as to whether the hotel had any control over, but would dissuade me from staying there again. Let me say first the hotel is modern and beautiful, looks like they took an old Embassy Suites and put a lot of effort into making it nicer and more modern than ever. Lobby was beautiful, room impeccably clean, internet access good, employees all very friendly and attentive, a Safeway across the street was super convenient for those last-minute things I forgot to bring, and an all-around convenient location. The parking garage charge was rather hefty but I knew about it before going and didn't consider it a negative. Here's my problem with the place - there were at least three different LARGE groups there while we stayed, at least one of them consisting of teenagers there for a soccer tournament. Now, kids will be kids but the chaperones clearly didn't have any control over them. They ran ragged all over the hotel, up and down the hallways making so much noise while we were trying to sleep. I believe security and the police came and forced them to quiet down, but it really took some time. They were still really obnoxious and inconsiderate of other guests when we were on the elevators and walking around. The next night ANOTHER group of teenagers came - while the chaperones happened to be staying near us and promised they would keep them under control, they were similarly noisy, inconsiderate of guests and it took a while to quiet them down. Really, these groups must have gotten an awesome group rate because I don't imagine a group of high school kids paying the $220+ per night we were paying (maybe I'm naive like that) Groups like this should really be staying at youth hostels or empty college dorms. That's where I always stayed on class trips. There was also a wedding or two while we were there, those people were fine but it only added to the crowding in the public areas. If you're part of a large group or wedding maybe, can negotiate a good rate, don't mind the noise and want something more than a youth hostel or college dorm, this place is probably great. If you're traveling as a small family group on a weekend or anywhere close to a school holiday, look elsewhere.

The location of this hotel is great in the Rockville Town Square and two blocks from the Rockville Metro station. It is reasonably quiet (some road noise), has a nice garage for $14 a night (beware that there is a "2" Level as well as a "G2" Level and they are different) and comfortable rooms. However, I called before we arrived on April 30 and asked about whether or not the restaurant was in operation ("maybe but I'm not sure if it will be") and if the bar was operating--"yes definitely" I was told. Neither was in operation although when I peeked under the bar our last day and saw open wine bottles...interesting! There is a snack area in the lobby with items for sale but no alcohol (however, it is listed on the price list). My advice is to wait to stay here until their food/bar services are restored! The staff was very sweet and helpful. The small indoor pool and hot tub were sparking clean (although the hot tub jets were not operating). This property will be great when everything is working!

This hotel looks great but would benefit from hands on management and leadership from the top. Some of the staff are very good and some are not. It looks like HGI has moved away from buffet breakfast to ordering from the menu. Did we eat too much? If so, sorry.

I was staying one night and it was perfectly good for my needs. Rug could use some updating. Ice machine was hidden behind a door. And a regular frig would be better than a wine cooler. Bathroom and room were clean. Front desk clerk was friendly.

Hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. Only complaints are that there was no microwave in the room, there was a defective LED light over the bed that was blinking on and off, and there was no breakfast (not even a grab and go). Overall a good value for the money.

Stayed here 4 nights on business. The front desk was always very nice. Hotel was conveniently located in a very nice area. The coffee was out early, which was nice. I did not feel that the hotel was clean. The elevator was filthy. My room just did not feel clean. It didn’t look like it had been deep cleaned. Hotel doesn’t offer nightly cleanings…why?? This might be impacting my feeling of the room not being 100% cleaned, because it’s getting cleaned a fraction of the time it used to get cleaned. The 5th floor has this strange area by the elevators and something about it was just weird, a bit creepy even.
