Reviewed By Clay JOutstanding boutique hotel on the water. Phenomenal food breakfast lunch and dinner. Clean rooms. Great Wi-Fi and extremely well run. Highly recommend. Jo and all of the staff made the experience memorable and delightful. We were traveling to fish the area (excellent fishing and guides with Tarpon Cay Lodge) and the stay made the trip.

Reviewed By 1RuthandboazThis hotel is perfect. The rooms are very confortable with beautiful views of the water. They have great showers. The room was spotlessly clean with great towels and bedding. The manger, Gaby, is very nice and accommodating. Everyone who works there was very friendly and welcoming. They have a rooftop bar and seating, great for watching the sunset over the water. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

At Villa de Pescadores Hotel all our rooms have the same services: furnished front balcony terrace overlooking the sea, private bathroom w/hot-cold water, air conditioning, ceiling fan, cable TV, mosquito netting. Standard rooms have either 2 full size or 1 full + 1 individual beds. Superior rooms are on the top floor and have 1 king size bed.The hotel has a restaurant -for guests only- overlooking the sea, that serves outstanding "catch of the day" fish specialties, seafood & vegetarian dishes, and one of the best tasting coffee's you will find in Mexico. Upon request from our guests, the restaurant may open before dawn to provide coffee and coast to the early rising birding enthusiasts. Villa de Pescadores provides with no additional charge private parking and WiFi Internet access in the restaurant area. The hotel can arrange for its guests guided boat tours to visit the Ria Lagartos Biosphere Reserve, boat trips to enjoy the sunset from the Ria, guided bird watching excursions and sport fishing trips for fly or bottom fishing.

Reviewed By MahriahThis place could be really nice, because location is great; central with beautiful water views! But the room just wasn’t clean or maintained well. It had residue in shower from dried products on walls and handle. The bathmat had not been cleaned. We were given two towels for three people. The faucet was loose and towel hook fell off of wall. Grimy walls. They advertise they can do breakfast early for those heading to early tour and they said that was impossible. (Just don’t advertise it then.) It’s not necessarily “bad” but just not being given any attention to basics. We prepaid for two nights and left after one.

Reviewed By SetonasWe have arrived to the hotel with a rented car about 8 PM, 2 hours late than stated check-in hours. But it wasn't a problem - we have still found a man in the reception, who didn't speak any english at all. But he has helped us with our luggage and carried the biggest ones to the 3rd floor (there are no elevator). Room surprisingly was very spacious with good air conditioning. But the best thing came next morning, when we were waked up by various sounds of birds. Our room has a balcony where we sitting, eating our own breakfast and listening to these amazing sounds of nature. Later hotel offered us a very basic breakfast (cut banana and watermelon, sandwich and orange juice) and again nobody spoke even a word in English :) Then we went to the pier to search a boat for a tour to the lagoons. Found it very easily, there were dozen of options just for 1000 MXN per boat. We have asked for a late check-out, but hotel refused, because our room has been booked for the following night, but they allowed to leave our car near the hotel door. Actually it was one of the best hotels we have stayed during our trip in Mexico. Next time we will try to stay there for a longer period than 1 night. There is not too much what to do after the sunset at 6 PM. Rio Lagartos village is empty at dark with running wild dogs on the streets (but they are not aggressive). Hotel location in Google Maps is incorrect. Thanks God I have read about it in one review before arrival, otherwise I can't imagine how I would found this hotel. Owner of the hotel must fix it immediately. Hotel is located near the pier, but outside of the center of the city where you can find 2 small shops and few restaurant - it's about 10-15 min walk to the center. Haven't tested the pool, because we haven't enough time for this activity :(

Comfortable and Central
Reviewed By Andrea LOnly stayed for one night. The room was clean and comfortable. The room also had windows facing inwards to the internal common areas - the noise does travel from reception, which was a bit disturbing when trying to sleep. The location is good, walking distance from the waterfront, restaurants and the local store.

We have opened the first ecolodge in Las Coloradas. An authentic village in a nature reserve surrounded by pink lakes and the turquoise sea. The architecture of our house will make you travel between the Mexican colonial style and the Mayan casa. We welcome you with two rooms and two bungalows.

Poor for equipment in the room, no chair, nothing where putting belongins. Bathroom sink more powerfull than the shower ? Over promising, we are still looking for the famous exterior shower, they invite you not use the water in the shower too much, ok totaly agree but in that case, do the necessary the shower efficient, not a trickle of water!! Last but not least the Americain breakfast…how to say, coffee is a lukewarm black water, a small cup of fruit, no bread, no muffins, ridiculous. The deco of the common space is tolaly absent.
