Pretoria is a vision of purple, thanks to its plethora of blossoming trees that gave the South African metropolis its nickname: Jacaranda City. Give in to the animal magnetism of the National Zoological Gardens of South Africa, then get up close and personal with the big, bad kitties of the Cheetah Research and Breeding Centre. The buildings of Pretoria reflect diverse architectural styles and influences, creating a unique urban landscape.

1) They had incorrectly reserved a room for the day we were leaving, not the day of arrival. 2) Room was drab and freezing cold 3) the heating didn't work. 4) Ordered room service which was of poor quality, badly cooked and they had failed to bring basics like sauces, salt and pepper etc. 5) Breakfast room was again freezing cold. Basically there was nothing to recommend staying at this Hotel.

Modest in size, cozy double beds. En-suite bathrooms with a shower, toilet and basin. Air conditioning, small flat screen TV, DSTV, coffee and tea station.
Horrible service and no custimer service. No shower gel/soap was available and the staff had the audacity to lie that they would bring it. No manager or supervisor available to assist. Would not recommend staying at this place in Pretoria

So... home away from home sounds cliché but when you are in a hotel for a business meeting whilst it is your anniversary and you are far from home and they find out about it in the passing and go out of their way to make your day apart special - that is what I call Family and home away from home. The staff that know you by name and come to look out for you upon arrival makes it feel like home. The Chef coming to greet you from the kitchen. it's just a happy place. To Orathile, Theo, Nixon, Thembi and especially Chef Angel thank you for who you are and what you do. Thank you for the special care Angel - you will always be my Angel.

Disappointing experience at City Lodge Hotel Lynnwood. 1 Couple did not get Twin room as booked. On arrival a toilet lying in the corridor to our rooms. Doing repairs without regard for clients. Our room had an empty dirty bottle lying on the floor. So much for housekeeping. Airconditioner not working. Shower door fell off. Cannot phone reception on hotel phone in room. Neither kitchen. Had to phone from my own mobile and reception confirmed one cannot pbone them from room phone?! Order sandwich and burger for on room dining. Had to fetxh it yourself from kitchen due to staff shortage. Coudl not sleep. Spotlight at entrance shone directly into our room like it was daylight. We travel a lot. They will not see us again

The Manhattan Hotel in Central Pretoria exceeded many expectations. From the amazing shuttle service and impeccably dressed and mannered drivers, to the food, decor and personal service. We got a family suite which was clean, spacious and just perfect for a girl's trip. Needed to go anywhere just call reception and they book your trip. Room service was exquisite. When last did you eat something without needing to add seasoning. The buffet we had on the first night was out of this world. After a good 28yrs I finally was able to eat the crackling of the pork roast. Yes imagine. Crispy but edible. I was in heaven. Beautiful lounge on the first floor for selfies which I normally don't do but the setting was just stunning. I'm definitely coming back. When a place is this good you'd be crazy not to relive the experience.

A lovely guest house to stay in. Very comfortable and so quite at night. My only complaint being a tall person was the bed length was short so my feet hung over the edge. Breakfast was very good. Will definitely recommend this guesthouse

The Regency is a full service luxury apartment hotel located in Menlyn, Pretoria. Providing short or long term lifestyle accommodation for business or leisure travellers, individual guests and families can choose from one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartments or standard rooms.
Super noisy. No sleep. Kept up until the wee hours of the morning by the people in the room next door. Not their fault, there is simply no acoustic isolation between the rooms. Key card system faulty so had to be let in my room by staff every time I left. Door next door started beeping at 1AM and only stopped when it was fixed with a lot more noise. The latch of the window leading into the corridor was broken. Huge security risk especially listening to the lady complaining about items stolen from her room when I checked in.

We stayed here for one night as part of our tour of South Africa. It was ok. It was an apartment hotel so had everything you needed. I have walking difficulties and use a cane which I pointed out but our room was at the top of the building with an outside staircase (no lift) and it had been raining. So I wasn't pleased. The staff were nice, and friendly. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was very badly lite. We asked for candles. It was the most expensive meal we'd had in South Africa and it was awful. The breakfast was nice.
