Reviewed By flybynight791961Beautiful hotel in a great location on Praia Da Rocha. The rooms are very large and comfortable. However there were a couple of strange things such as no cork screw in the kitchenette in the room. When we asked to borrow one from the front desk they advised that’s not possible. You can either call room service to come up & open your bottle, or you can go down to the restaurant with your wine & they will open it for you there. Also, pool/beach towels require a 20 Euro cash deposit each. They can’t charge it to your room, or put it against your credit card. But, we enjoyed the hotel & would certainly stay here again.

Reviewed By FAA1996Property is beautiful and staff is very friendly. Location is OK, porphyria is beautiful but immediately area is not the nicest (Portimao is not the most scenic of places). We had both rooms in the main house as well as the latest addition, all were comfortable and nice. Be sure to pick the right one/view for your taste and budget. Food was very good although we did not get to taste the Michelin * one. Breakfast was declines and meals we enjoyed by the pool/on the deck were great. Definitely recommend.

The rooms are maintained throughout the week by our room services including daily cleaning, except on Thursday, Saturday or Sunday, towel change 3 times a week and bed linen changed 2 times a week.

Reviewed By S6282MGanndI have stayed here a few times but not any more. It doesn't say they allow dogs there. As a few people have them in apartments. One person insisted on getting in to the lift with me with her 2 dogs. This might not bother people but I think you should have a choice when booking a hoilday if u want a pet friendly hotel that's fine your choice. On a positive note my room while basic was clean (bed was like sleeping on a board) staff are lovely and pool was clean. Out door toilets and showers were spotless. It's in a great location. Just a pity they don't let customers know about the dogs as some adults and children are afraid of them.

Hotel is in a great location. Beautiful beach across from the back entrance. I would definitely return. Staff all seemed polite and friendly.

Reviewed By john SThe room was fine 2 twin beds smallest TV you could find and in February temperatures go down and when there’s no heating in the apartment I’m not saying all of the apartments but ask before you rent because it gets kinda cold at night and yes dirty pool not a good feel to the apartment

Reviewed By P5487SLsharonmMy husband and I stayed there for a week recently and can’t speak highly enough about it . A truly beautiful hotel . Spotlessly clean . The staff are friendly helpful and very professional. The buffet for breakfast is amazing . There is everything on it . It’s location is perfect and the pool and garden is the last word . We will definitely Behring back again next year .

Pros and Cons
Reviewed By rftuEasy to find and reception was helpful. Our apartment on the fourth floor had fabulous views. The facilities ( although a room safe & AC would have been helpful ) were spot on. WiFi was fast and for those who like a little TV there were masses of English channels including movies and documentaries. The bed was king sized and comfortable and the distance to the beach, the strip, Spar supermarkets and the local urban circle bus were excellent ( €4.50 for an all day travel pass bought from the driver ) Decent size fridge / freezer and eating area were also a big plus. A real bonus was the private free parking at the rear of the property...the lift takes you straight to the car park. The cons were the 104 steps down to the beach ( in Albufeira there’s a free escalator ) and the noise....oh my... the noise. Within metres there are night clubs, Irish bars and even strip clubs. 04:30 am seem to be the best time for lots of happy party goers to decide not to use their mobiles to contact their mates in the UK but to rely on shouting as loud as possible in the hope that their message will carry. In addition there appears to be a local character who’s daily routine involves pushing a shopping trolley around and around with one of the most powerful boomboxes I have ever come across playing at full volume. Despite being on the fourth floor and despite closing the balcony doors it was impossible to listen to the news on the TV when he passed...which was a couple of times an hour. This continued until after midnight. Such a pity as the apartment was overall good...but as someone else commented...Location, Location is ideal, especially for night owls.

Food & Drink: With a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and a poolside snack bar offering burgers, chips and other favourites, you can always find something to satisfy your appetite. Entertainment: In the evenings, you can head over to the video bar for after-dinner cocktails and check out what entertainment is on offer.

Reviewed By 211cjs2 years ago me, my partner and at the time almost 2 year old son went on OUR FIRST family holiday and we stayed at this lovely hotel all inclusive..... We arrived and were shown to our room in a quick order after first signing a few papers.. The room was nice and clean, old fashioned but not a problem as it gave you the Portugese feel, the staff were amazing and we even made little bonds with a few of them, the rest of the hotel was nice and clean, drinks were always there to get. The games room for us was a big deal every night we would grab a few drinks and Pringles from the bar and then head off to the games room where my son enjoyed going on the helicopter or the digger, he also enjoyed the sitting on the motorbike game with me, there was also prize games to play, me and my misses enjoyed playing the air hockey, pool or even the basketball game where we went head to head and it got heated lol... The entertainment was really good, our first proper night they brought in some parrots that could speak and other things we got a picture with me and my son holding them, they even three a quiz night where you had teams. The walk to the beautiful beach was nothing 5 mins if that has a nice amount of bars on the beach to get drinks from, next to the beach is the stripe where all the shops are from restaurants to souvenirs shops and ice cream parlours. The only thing I would say wasn't good was he good especially the breakfast was hit and miss, well breakfast was never good for me but lunch and dinner were 50/50 but never really bad and the pool was freezing way too cold and tasted like salt way too much. Besides these two little things we all loved the holiday, the hotel, the staff and the destination and we would 100% go again.
