Swiss Spirit Hotel & Suites Danag houses 144 rooms & is located in the capital city of Rivers State, Port Harcourt. In one of the most bustling cities of Nigeria, the hotel is ideally situated along the city’s commercial district on the formerly known Stadium Road.
I was on business for a month, and enjoyed my 4-week stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating (Thanks Tom in House Keeping), enjoyed the food (Thanks to Chief TJ), and the pool-side bar (Thanks to Bar & Restaurant serving staff) which offered a relaxing spot to have a cold drink and to eat after a long day out. Although not a large pool, I still managed to put in several mornings of 30-40 minutes of swim laps. Property was very safe, grounds and room was very clean, and location was very good relative to business meetings I had. I managed to get to know most of the staff by first name. If I had to pint to one aspect to improve, it would be the Wi-Fi, which was adequate but not overly fast. An easy 8.5/10 score and would consider staying again!

This luxurious 4 star property is managed by the South African owned LAC Management Consultants and perfect for the sophisticated business traveller or leisure seeker who wants to rejuvenate and for Government Officials who seek a tranquil environment to recoup. All 80 rooms are superbly decorated and equipped with high speed internet and a fully serviced mini-bar.
I have always stayed there (when visiting PH) since it was built over 5 years ago. And I visit PH frequently. I think wear and tear is beginning to tell. I stayed in Rm. 307 recently and I was quite concerned about a smell. I am sending this review solely because I believe a kick up the backside is necessary to ensure the new management understands it has a responsibility to maintain standards. The standards at the beginning are not the same at this time. Possibly due to a change in the management. I am quite concerned about the hotel I must confess. Other than this recent opinion, the hotel is reasonably better than its supposed betters. The pool is great. The bar as well. The gym, reasonably so.

Novotel Port Harcourt is located in the heart of the Garden City. It embodies the very best of Nigeria in the refinement of interior design, the warmth of Southern welcome, the excellence of service and the art of exceptional cuisine. Found in very close proximity to all the major oil and petroleum service companies and only a 25 minutes drive from the International Airport.
Receptionist was very welcoming and professional. Room appears near and tidy but the expected pleasant smell is missing. I'm yet to savour their delicacies but I believe it'll be worth it as was my earlier stays.

Swiss International Mabisel is approximately 40 minutes from Port Harcourt International Airport & 15 minutes from the Air Force Base.
The hotel staff were generally good and promptly attended to requests. However, the front desk officers were did demonstrate courteousness and professionalism by deactivating my room key on two instances without prior notice even when I was not due to check out. They seemed not to be patient with guests and this does not portray them and their employers in good light and could determines one's choice whether or not to stay in the hotel in future travels.

Le Meridian Hotel Ogeyi Place is situated at the town metropolis of Port Harcourt, A nice place with nice views of the town from the top floor of the hotel, its a 5 star hotel, lovely room size, good cooks and good food, but expensive. Nice but small pool and a side bar, room keepers and front desk staff are nice. The Hotel is not too far away from Hotel Presidential and Golden Tulip, It is beside the Polo field for those that love playing or watching POLO and lots of horses. The International Airport is about 45min away due to hold up inside the town, the local airport is about 15 minutes away. It has a nice restaurant and bar too within the hotel. I am familiar with many of Port Harcourt's places for Western food, espresso, swimming pool and some hotels. I have stayed around here on and off since 2006. However I feel that I now (re)discovered Port Harcourt's most friendly people in the Bougainvillea hotel where I am staying for a while with my wife. My wife is a fresh arrival in Nigeria. Our original room was not up to her standards, and immediately the hotel staff - everyone - started doing their best to make her happy. She has some difficulty with her knees and consequently she found it very difficult, and dangerous, to use the bath tub for showering. In face of that the General Manager with full support from his staff and the owner, Madame Grace went out of their way to make us very happy and much more comfortable by switching us to a studio apartment also available in the premises at no extra cost!!! So, this, we consider service at international level. We came from Dubai and the service there was no better than the one we are receiving here. I hope we stay long, because here is money well spent! Cheers, Luis ("oyibo angolano")

My most recent visit to the hotel during a business trip after a long while, revealed that the hotel had undergone some upgrade to keep up with the times. Front Desk staff were quite friendly and there was a concierge at hand to help with baggage. Buffet breakfast at the New Rivers Restaurant was hearty and there was a variety to choose from. Buffet Dinner was nice, but was not so impressed with the National lunch that had limited cuisine on display. There were security personnel on each floor willing to offer a helping hand. Room stay during the three nights at the hotel was comfortable. Free car parking was available but usually crowded due to high number of guests.
