Accommodation with electricity whole night, private bathroom with hot and cold shower, common kitchen.
Had barely any contact with the hosts here so can't judge them.. I'm not sure where the communal kitchen is as nobody showed us, room was not cleaned once in 6 days, though they found the time to switch off our AC so it was hot on our return. I know AC is expensive to run, but I'm paying for it I should be able to use it. Location is OK, handy enough for the beach etc. Rooms are clean (though I had to search for extra toilet roll) shower was OK too. Overall, it's nothing fancy, but it offers a bed for the night. We had decent WiFi (by Filipino standards) though I suspect this varies on where your room is located. There are probably better places in the area, but for AC with private bathroom it's not bad.

ישנו שם לילה אחד , מקום חמוד סהכ , חדר גדול יחסית מיטה נוחה יש מגבות ומאוורר יש גם מזגן אבל המאוור ממש טוב , חיסרונות אין מים חמים במקלחת והwifi עובד אבל מאוד חלש , מיקום מרכזי .I slept there one night, a cute place, a relatively large room, a comfortable bed, towels and a fan, but the fan is really good, the drawbacks are not hot water in the shower and wifi works but very weak, central location

Its the best place to relax after a beach day and island hopping in Bort Parton. In the evening they have music and a billard &soccer table for use. The beach is only a 3min walk down the street. The staff was awesome, so friendly and very helpful! The bed is so comfortable and the room & warm shower is super clean. Its has everything i wished for after a long journey. The food is delicious as well. And you can refill your water bottel for only 10pesos. I can highly recommend this place if you want to stay in Port Barton. ?

Hashtag Tourist Inn is located in the center of PB, few minutes away from the busiest main center area. Hosts are welcoming and friendly. Rooms are clean, fan geared, but small. Do not expect to walk around your bed. Mattress is all right, on the thin range, neither comfortable, nor the opposite. Bathroom is convenient with hot shower which is useless to my opinion. It would be a better idea to provide guest with a couple of drinking water bottle daily as it is the usage all over Philipines. Breakfast is not included but may be ordered and served on each room individual terrace. WiFi is there network is not reliable. The lodge is overall quiet but may get slightly noisy by 7am when Port Barton wakes up due to bikes and car as it is set on a junction. Not a big deal though. Earplugs will do the trick. Compared to accomodations in the same price range I stayed in all over Philipines, I think Hashtag Tourist Inn is a good option considering you are 200m away from the beachfront. Just keep in mind that Port Barton is not a budget place for backpackers travelling on a shoestring. More tourists than travellers here.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip to Palawan due to the pandemic. We paid for our 2 rooms back in December 2019. We do the right thing by these small operators by paying direct therefore ensuring they receive all the money and avoid booking fees from trivago, agoda etc. Now we can't get our money back. The many emails are proving fruitless. A good lesson learned is never pay by telegraphic transfer. Palawan and Port Barton are still high on our future holiday destinations. But I know where I won't be staying.

The bamboo bungalow in which we stayed for a week was comfortable, spacious, clean and beautiful. The bathroom was amazing with all the different inlaid stones . . . an acupressure treatment for your feet. The cold-water shower took some getting used to. The bed was comfortable but we needed to wear ear plugs to sleep, as the walls were thin and we could hear people talking, dogs barking and roosters crowing, among other things. The fan was great for moving the air around, but you had to be a giant to reach the controls. The breakfast was basic: a fried egg with 2 pieces of toast, a banana and super yummy brewed Swedish coffee. We supplemented the breakfast with sweet buns from the bakery around the corner. The Filipina co-owner and her staff were friendly and helpful, always available to chat or provide local travel advice. We booked a wonderful island-hopping tour, a motorbike rental and a van trip to Puerto Princesa thru the resort. We loved the one-eyed calico cat who lived there. It visited us every time we sat out on our deck. If the resort had high-speed internet, warm water and aircon, we would have stayed even longer.

We are slightly older then your backpacker (although we bp at heart :-). ) and we found the bungalow although lovely just a bit to small and stifling to sleep in, lucky it was only for a couple of nights. I like one of previous comments, “it was here I realised I was no longer a backpacker” Staff were lovely so I am sure you will be ok.

The food dishes here are unbelievable especially the curries! The owner and his team are more than welcoming and make you feel very accommodated at the resort. Although I did not stay here this time if I return to Port Barton in the future it will be on my list! Watching the sun set here is also incredible with a soft drink or a beer!

It is a bit outside of Port Barton but it is a nice 10 minutes walk to the main area and to the beach. Nice bungalows, good breakfast (toast, egg, butter, jam, coffee & tee) and friendly staff. Its a quiet and clean place. 700php for the budget bungalow. 900php for the bigger bungalow
