Known as Padova in Italian, Padua may be the oldest city in northern Italy, if you believe the claims of its 12th-century BC founding by Trojans. It certainly has history, including its famous university (one of Europe’s oldest, from 1222), the 13th-century Basilica di Sant'Antonio (resting place of St. Anthony), and Scrovegni Chapel, with Giotto’s famed 14th century frescos. The magnificent Prato della Valle, a 950,000-square-foot elliptical square, is thought to be Europe’s second-biggest.

The beds were exceptionally comfortable and my allergies (which I often have problems with) did NOT bother me (that’s my “clean meter”). The pillows could be upgraded / replaced. Furnishing were dated, and there were bowls of potpourri about. There was plenty of floor space and the ceilings were like 10 feet tall. The windows were new and nice and they opened. The bathroom was large, and insulated sound-wise from the rest of the room (I could use it at night without waking my husband or daughter). I don’t think the exhaust fan in the shower worked. The hairdryer on the wall was weak but the front desk had a powerful one for checkout. There was no peephole in the door. The staff were nice. Housekeeping was friendly and gave us the tools to clean our own room as we preferred (during COVID), and kept us supplied with towels etc. The woman at the front desk helped us make phone calls in Italian. The owner introduced himself. The AC worked very well. During the second week of our stay the shower wasn’t draining so we took off the cap and pulled out (what had to be) our hair; that fixed the problem. There was a lot of street noise and sirens (mainly during the day) with the hospital nearby, but the electronic sleep machine that we brought with us covered up that noise and we slept great (we recommend the “LectroFan” brand). The TV was tiny but WIFI worked well so we watched on our phones anyway. The location ended up being a bit far south for us but that depends on where you are going. Basically, it’s a 20 minute walk to city center, a 15 - 20 minute walk to University of Padova Psychology building north of the river, and an eight minutes to pharmacy or grocery. Definitely not as fancy as three star U.S. hotels in the same class, but comfortable. We were told the same family owns the Giotto hotel. I wish U.S. hotels offered standard rooms with three beds like this one. Ours had an expandable ottoman which could be used as a 4th bed!

I was at the Residenza Galileo. The room was big, clean, with daylight, silent. It had a beautiful also a interior design. Besides that the breakfast was very good and complete, with everything you need. The hotel is literally in front of the Basilica de San Antonio, very close from everypoint in Padova. Perfect.

The NH Padova, formerly known as NH Mantegna, is your gateway to the historic city of Padua. The hotel itself is a triumph of art and architecture, blending cutting-edge design and uncompromising comfort. Step into our dramatic lobby where a bright, open space is punctuated by vivid pops of color, dazzling light fixtures, and avant-garde design elements.
Obviously a business hotel, but it’s very good at what it does. Food excellent, Wi-Fi ok but not as fast as I’d like. Not 100% sure that the air con worked as well as it should, but a cool room temperature was obtainable during very hot weather. Nice little terrace overlooking the city with good views; it’s nice to have a beer here and watch the town far below. Not much in the surrounding area, but only 15 minutes walk to the station and half an hour to the city centre.

A modern 4-star hotel located within Padua's prestigious North East Tower. The hotel has been designed to satisfy the needs of all its new guests, with elegant, minimalist surroundings that are at the same time hospitable and comfortable. The brightness and the large spaces in both the lobby and the rooms reflect the hotels essential form. Its 135 rooms consist of: Classic, Superior and Deluxe rooms and Junior and Presidential suites. It has: a bar; the Cristallino Restaurant; a gym; ample external parking; a private covered garage; 7 meeting rooms and free Internet access throughout the hotel.
We stayed at this hotel for three nights hotel was lovely the only issues was the something need to be added to make this a top hotel. No ATM so unable to get cash No instructions of the service in the area that you normally get in your room telling you about bus services, taxi cabs and locol shops. You need to ask otherwise your not told. Great car park very secure. Restaurant is lovely as well as the food only issue there was one staff member very rude but all others were lovely. TV did not cater for English only BBC news. All in all lovely place and Padova is vey nice.

The Best Western Plus Galileo Padua is the ideal choice for guests who travel for pleasure and business. The strategic position of the hotel allows you to easily reach Padua Exhibition Center (700 mt), the University (1,2 km), the Courthouse (500 mt), and the main companies, but also Venice (18 minutes by train), the railway station (900 mt) and the Highway (exit Padua East about 2 km far). Ancient university branch, Padua boasts many evidences of its glorious, artistic and cultural past and it is now an important economic center. Padua is also known in the world as the city of St. Anthony, the famous Portuguese Franciscan born in Lisbon, who lived at Padua for some years and died. Events, exhibitions, festivals and the nearby thermal baths, make Padua dynamic and vital: a city able to satisfy the needs of every kind of traveler.
Really disappointed especially with it being a plus hotel. Rooms very basic and poorly decorated. Beds uncomfortable. Air conditioning did not cool the room at all. Power tripped every time tried to use their iron they provided. Breakfast was terrible with poor choice and quality and awful atmosphere. Will not be returning

Located just a few minutes away from the Padova est and Padova ovest exits of the motorway and only 1km from the railway station the B&B Hotel Padova offers spacious, comfortable rooms at an excellent quality-price. The B&B Hotel Padova is conveniently located to reach either the trade-fair district, which is only 600 metres away, or the centre of city, that is only a few minutes' drive away. There, you can admire the famous Basilica di Sant' Antonio as well as the Cappella degli Scrovegni with its celebrated Giotto frescoes. Its strategic location and the frequency of the rail services also means that it is a worthwhile alternative for those wishing to visit Venice. All the rooms are furnished in a modern style with a contemporary design and are equipped with: • Free Wi-Fi • TV • Free Sky TV channels • Direct line telephone • Adjustable air conditioning • Bathroom with shower or tub • Hairdryer
Great hotel just 0ff the highway. In this location, I felt much safer than in the city center, They have also a secure garage which is great if you are traveling by a fully packed car like us. They accept dogs, the hotel is clean, and the room was well presented. They had a good aircon and a comfy bed. Ah, and the bathroom was huuuge! We will be back.

I stayed here three nights for work (single room first floor). I’ve never encountered bed bugs before so it took me a while to figure out what the terrible, itchy, welts appearing all over my arms, legs and face were. On the third night I was so itchy that I could not sleep and turned the lights to find about a dozen bed bugs crawling around in and around the bed. When I told the staff they shrugged it off. Stay away from this hotel!! Some other comments: the rooms are not quiet (as advertised) I could hear noise from the lobby late into the night, and woke up every morning with noise from the dining hall. Additionally, staff is a mess. Getting back late after dinner one night I discovered they had deactivated my key because they wanted to scan my passport again.... claiming that I had never checked in. I told them sure but they would have to let me in the room to get the passport ? Worst hotel experience in my life!! I’ve never write online reviews. Just thought people should be warned to stay away from this hotel!

A little, charming hotel, with only 20 rooms, that wants to give you the comforts of a private house, in the heart of one of the most important cultural centres of Veneto. The Hotel is in the historical old centre of Padua, has a private car parking, and is easily reachable for people who come by car or by train (it’s near the station), few minutes from wonderful Scrovegni’s Chapel and typical squares. But we’re also near the Padua EXPO. A new hotel, where common spaces recreate a special old style ambience, exalting the typical familiar feeling of rooms, respecting the genuine Veneto’s tradition. Comfortable rooms where you can find all services at the highest levels: free internet wi-fi, air conditioning, king size bed, TV Lcd satellite, mini fridge bar, large bathroom with hydro massage to relax or big shower, large terraces, breakfast also in the interior garden : an experience to remember.
This small hotel is central enough to be walking distance from Padova centre yet not in the traffic restriction zone, and offers secure parking for a reasonable fee. They gave me a tastefully decorated room with a brilliant private terrace, a comfortable bed, good toiletries, soft towels, and an unexpected jacuzzi. The shower was brilliant too. Breakfast was good. I particularly liked the nice touch of a book exchange library. I will certainly return.
