Lovely stay at Splendido Bay
Reviewed By Sarsar1982My husband and I stayed at Splendido Bay for the first time. It was also our first visit to Lake Garda in general. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel- our superior room was spacious, clean and had a view of the lake. We dined in the three restaurants associated with the hotel and food was delicious on all occasions. Staff were also generally polite and helpful during our stay. Most spoke good English, which helped as we don’t speak Italian. Breakfast buffet has every option imaginable and the restaurants mentioned above also have great lunch and dinner options. For us, the outdoor pool area and lake views really made our stay memorable. We also used the indoor pool and spa area on one of the days when it was raining, which was quite nice. Cons- The immediate area around the hotel doesn’t have many restaurants/things to do but you can go to desensanzo, which is less than 10 min drive away. Also a good point to get to Sirmione (20-25 min drive). Also, the hoards of flies, but the hotel can’t help that as it’s a result of being so close to the lake! They did spray for mosquitoes and pests while we were there. Overall would definitely return.

Reviewed By Katherine CThis is a great little spot. Right at the waterfront with amazing night life. My daughter and I had a blast. The room is a little small however it was very nicely upgrade, decorated and equipped with air conditioning.

Reviewed By 985arongEstablishment to be discouraged even to the worst enemy! The toilets and showers probably date back to '39-'45 and for the most part they were HORRIBLE! They were cleaned at most once a day, so as soon as some uncivilised customers left their traces the others had to pay the consequences for days... Obsolete and dirty infrastructure to be avoided! Non-existent service and - in addition - very poor public services with which to travel to other destinations. To be forgotten!!! Don't get there...

Probabilmente ha già dato le camere ad altri guadagnando con questo trucchetto il salvadanaio la sua pensione . Lost 280 euro because property and Booking com have not accepted to apply a reduction penality for cancellation request done before 3 hours from reservation . At least room probably is reservaed for another one and all consist for the hotel a TAKE MONEY. Pay attention before to book in this HOTEL considered also very ANCIEN without new design approach .

Quiet and relaxing and fine starting point for excursions
Reviewed By Andreas BThe place itself is nice and clean and have a calm atmosphere. In the weekend however there are many Italian families using the pool area but this if you love Italy, it just fulfills the authentic experience of the Italian lifestyle. In the weekdays there are plenty of space. The pools are very safe with lifeguards so they are ideal for smaller children whereas older ones might miss some excitement. The lake is only 7 minutes away (20 if you stop at Francesco for ice cream) and the water is clean and calm. The apartments are very spartanly equipped and, in the kitchen, there is a very small collection of tools so if you enjoy cooking your own wonderful Italian dishes it is necessary to bring your own kitchen equipment. The immediate area is nothing special but as a starting point for excursions it is perfect. Cities like Verona, Mantova, Parma, Venice, Bologna and Milano are only a few hours away and small romantic cities like Sirmione or Peschiera del Garda are closer. The mountains are nearby providing a lot of possibilities like hiking, mountain biking and much wilder activities. The staff are very helpful, and we had a flat tire repaired in less than an hour in a local garage. All in all, a great place for relaxing and excursions.

The hotel offers double rooms, suites, multi-sensory rooms with balconies overlooking the lake and even apartments to suit every need. Inside the building, there is a pool with Jacuzzi, private beach and the park that offers an environment of charm and relaxation.
Nice rooms, poor location
Reviewed By RubyRoo17We stayed at Villa Garuti for 3 nights as a couple, before travelling on to see the other Italian lakes. The hotel isn’t very big but does have a pool area and surrounding gardens. On the plus side the rooms are very good, lovely shower, large airy bedroom area and tea and coffee making facilities, fridge etc. Breakfast was fairly average, not much choice of fruit and constantly running out of cereal bowls, we were told to use a large coffee cup instead on one occasion! The breakfast terrace area is lovely and overlooks the lake, however this area is used again later in the day and promoted as a ‘roof terrace’ between 2-8pm for drinks .. except there’s no bar so the waiter produced lukewarm beer and G&T from a small cupboard area, no ice or lemon - it was all very odd. There’s a restaurant next to the hotel, apparently part of the hotel but we couldn’t get in on any of the evenings we stayed, really disappointing as the hotel wasn’t full so clearly locals were being given precedence. That wouldn’t have been so bad but the location of the hotel isn’t close to a lot of other amenities so choices to eat out are quite limited. We mentioned this to the reception staff, they just tried to book us into other restaurants further away. The head receptionist was very aloof and unhelpful but the other receptionists, Susannah and Roberta were lovely. There’s a short promenade and a beach area but apart from that you’re limited in seeing the lake side. We managed a day trip to Sirmione via the ferry (10 euros each return), it was very pretty and very busy! Unfortunately we wouldn’t stay at this hotel again due to the location and limited options with no bar and no restaurant for residents.

Good size pool for european standards and nicely kept common garden-style space. Staff mostly nice and helpful. Dawbacks: The self-cleaning option (or fee) a bit strange and camping-style, could have been hidden in the price. Lots of noisy and arrogant tourists from D and NL who disregard the rules, especially annoying at the pool (occupying with large own air-mattrases, footbal playing children, pool divers - all against the local pool rules). Lack of a proper bar with coffee and spritz on site, just a vending machine and filtered coffee machines in the rooms - a proof that it is a place for visitors from northern countries, who mostly do not know how to appreciate Italy anyway. Strange wifi internet - looks like there is a fixed pool with IP addresses. One device got access after a day, another after 3 days. Then it was OK.

Breathtaking and peaceful
Reviewed By avl78We had a GREAT stay at Cascina Crocelle. The room was beautiful with our own personal balcony overlooking the grounds, pool and Garda lake. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed. Our 6 year old son had a great time playing in the sandbox, on the playground and jumping on the trampoline. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere was peaceful with a view that can't be beat. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!
