Newest Hotel in Oxford, offering Luxury accommodation in central Oxford, close to all attractions and restaurants. Within walking distance from both train and bus stations.
A “suite” with one room. Stains on walls and mirrors. Worn out fittings in bathroom. Key cards that didn’t work. Tea making facilities but no tea. A request for photo ID not required by law but by alleged “security” policy. All this for £359 a night. Quite simply a rip off.

The Holt is a clean hotel with simple, comfortable bedrooms and breakfast with a variety of fresh pastries, traditional English and fresh fruit and cereals. We felt comfortable and well looked after. We were a family group and the bedrooms allocated were arranged next to each other.

If you're tired of doing hard time in run-of-the-mill hotels, it's a completely different story at our former gaol, Malmaison Oxford. Instead sip the coolest cocktails in the free world at MALBAR and enjoy an eclectic mix of classic dishes with a twist at the Brasserie, from freshly caught fish to the famous Mal Burger. Good behaviour will get you privileges like free Wi-Fi, drench showers, plasma TVs and and even toiletries that are just begging to be nabbed by light-fingered guests. This is one hotel in Oxford city centre where you'll be happy to get a long stretch.
Had an amazing birthday dinner at Chez Mal Oxford. The staff, the service, the food, the cocktail, everything was perfect! They even brought out a little surprise birthday plate at the end of dinner and those are the little things that makes the difference! Also a huge thanks to Steph and Vera from brassiere and Marcos the bartender who made the best negroni and old fashioned I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend it!

Welcome to voco® Oxford Spires, a stylish hotel in Oxford with its own on-site parking. Close to the River Thames, we're a short stroll from fascinating museums and university colleges in the city centre. Known for its dreamy spires and famous for Inspector Morse, Harry Potter and nearby Blenheim Palace and close to Wallingford and Thame where Midsummer Murders is based. Our Historic city is famous for JR Tolkien, CS Lewis and many Prime Ministers and even the odd US President all have done their studying in the famous halls and walls of the city. At voco® Oxford Spires, our guest rooms offer welcoming voco® flourishes including premium bedding, upscale toiletries and refreshing aerated showers. Whether hot or cold outside, our rooms have air flow cooling and heating which will keep you cosy and in control at a touch of a button.
We stayed for 3 nights in June. Easily found with plenty of car parking space (paid). Tremendous value given the proximity to town either along the Thames towpath, bus or taxi. Welcoming, friendly and efficient staff throughout. The hotel looks/feels as if it has recently been refurbished in a fresh, modern style - We prefer old school, but this one worked for us for our purpose. Spacious lobby, lounge and bar area. Our room (105) faced the main road direction, but even sleeping with the windows open, no road noise was discernible. Room was large (decent sitting area with a sofa and two easy chairs), well equipped, clean and comfortable. The bed linen was of excellent quality - very important for us. Bathroom was a little compact (shower over bath) but with modern, quality fittings. Good shower pressure. I’m told the indoor swimming pool was good. Breakfast buffet was to a very high standard with a wide choice of quality offerings. Croissant were excellent, which isn’t always the case in this country. Coffee machines provided excellent variants (flat whites for us), again, not always the case with machine coffee. A mark of the quality management was that even towards the end of breakfast service, none of the offerings were depleted. The evening restaurant version of the breakfast area was a little disappointing in terms of presentation (no table cloths on the wipe down tables) and lacked any evening atmosphere. Menu just about adequate, but nothing special. IHG run the hotel, so in their expert opinion this is what works for them, but would suggest an upgrade in presentation and menu would induce more guests to dine in. Highly recommended for Oxford visits - given the fine weather we really enjoyed walking into town along the towpath with rowing crews practicing in the river.

We have been to Oxford many times but had never stayed at this hotel which is relatively new. The location suited as it needed to be convenient for the Boathouses. It turned out to be pretty perfect for the centre of Oxford including Westgate shopping centre and Oxford Castle. We parked at Seacourt Park and Ride and the bus delivered us to within a few hundred yards. The room was delightful and very quiet. We thought the air conditioning wasn't working but they showed us it was working, just quieter than we thought! Nice buffet breakfast, useful self service pantry, obliging and cheerful staff. Highly recommended.

Located in Oxford's city center, our hotel is a landmark building with elegance and charm featuring Alice Restaurant which offers an exciting experience, serving mouthwatering dishes prepared by our highly skilled chefs. Our hotel has played host to prime ministers and presidents, and our renowned Morse Bar is instantly recognizable as the watering hole of Colin Dexter's world-famous detective, Inspector Morse.
Family celebration lunch for 25 in private dining room. Service good. The staff worked really hard. Food good. Surroundings since the fire about 5 years ago are Hong Kong with the marble and bling but without the buzz or weather. Strange for Oxford but I guess designed for the package tours. So probably OK commercially. I hope it works.

Newly refurbished Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel, inspired by Oxford style vintage fashion with a décor based on the Oxford brogue and Oxford collar which is illustrated throughout the hotel. The main hotel was the birthplace of explorer and polar medallist, Francis Howard Bickerton born in 1889. The hotel's restaurant and bar is named in his honour ‘Frank's at Hawkwell House.’ Offering a locally inspired menu with signature dishes such as Baked Alaska, our Head Chef has infused his creations with a focus on local ingredients. Elm House, a 15 bedroom annexe in the hotel grounds was the former home to Major George W Allen, pioneer motorist, pilot and aerial photographer. The hotel is surrounded by landscaped gardens with a terrace perfect for al fresco dining, BBQs, social gatherings and weddings. All 62 designed bedrooms are locally inspired by Oxford fashion from days gone by. Refurbished meetings and events facilities in our Thames Suite offer a tranquil setting. Located in the picturesque village of Iffley, only 2 miles from Oxford city centre.
This was our second visit to the property and although, not as pleasurable as the last time, still good. We were allocated a ground floor room which was obviously designated for Disabled patrons, lovely large open wet walled bathroom, with a low level sink. The room was fully air conditioned but there was no opening window to allow fresh air in and it was a wee bit dirty, lacked cleanliness. Asked to change room for the following night and it was not a problem. Staff were excellent at this Hotel, nothing is to much bother. Recommend.

Hotel is immaculate, staff are so friendly and helpful. We go on many trips and hotel stays and this hotel has by far been the best. I want to mention a receptionist called Sarah who was so helpful upon initial booking. Really enjoyed our stay.
