Ross Lake House Hotel in Galway is a splendid 19th Century Georgian House. Built in 1850, this charming Galway hotel is formerly an estate house of the landed gentry, who prized it for its serenity. Set amidst rambling woods and rolling lawns, it is truly a haven of peace and tranquillity.
My wife and I stayed in this lovely old worldly hotel, set in beautiful grounds. Lovely breakfast, and nice evening meal, we did not mind breakfast 9/10am and evening meal 8/9pm. Henry and Elaine were lovely hosts, plenty of chat and craic, I am only so sorry that they have decided to retire, as we would have loved to revisit them. Our room was very clean and excellent bathroom. Best wishes Henry and Elaine, happy retirement. Graham and Esdale

Charming hotel in the square in the town center; walk to pubs and restaurants. Oughterard is famous for fishing for salmon and brown trout, walking the mountain tracks by the lake or the Western Way route, drive the Wild Atlantic Way.
While the staff were welcoming and the room was nice and spacious, we felt 190 euros was expensive for the facilities offered. The restaurant seemed very quiet and without atmosphere. It is well located in the middle of the town but has no nice views.

Loved our stay! After our extremely long travel day we were welcomed into the B&B with smiles. Room was great for 4 people and bathroom shower had amazing water pressure. Quiet/relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious both days. Patricia was extremely friendly and suggested places to visit in the area, which all ended up being highlights of our trip. Highly recommend staying at this facility.

We rate our experience with Crossriver as 3. Room and house were spotless and clean. First night wasn't good because issue with duvet. Next asked the owner to change the duvet. Breakfast very poor, not full traditional Irish breakfast as should be, disappointed! In general it was OK.

Very rude, wouldn't recommend staying there. Went to the nearby castle and decided to drive by the lake, pulled in by the road away from the guest house and the viewing point at the lake and just as I got out of the car I the woman came from inside and told me to go as its private land, at no point was I on private land as it's a public road. Not very welcoming at all really

We had a lovely night at the Western Way bnb having just walked the western way in reverse. Edwina was exceptionally hospitable and knowledgable about the local area. The bnb was very comfortable and spotless and the breakfast was outstanding with Edwina catering for our dietary needs. Would recommend and would stay here again if back in Oughterard.
