Our kids never ran out of fun activities to do while we were also able to relax and enjoy the beautiful view from the hotel’s terrace! The food is delicious and the service and cleanliness is great. The management of the hotel speaks multiple languages which makes communication easy. We recommend the L’Hippocampe as a great spot for a family vacation.

excellent hotel in a beautiful area
Reviewed By Leon MWe (couple) stayed for 4 nights at the end of a very nice tour around Marokko. It is a very well built and maintained, beautiful place with an excellent staff and kitchen. You can relax, enjoy the food, the service and the beautiful area with the lagune and birds in your full view. A little cooler than the rest of Marokko so very nice at the end of any tour

Reviewed By PaulTapscottI visited here last month with my girlfriend. Was actually a great experience. I can’t understand the poor reviews. My expectations weren’t through the roof, it we got a really good deal in amazing weather. When I arrived I was greeted really warmly. Our room was lovely and had a decent view. Bed was comfy and pool was good. Hosts were really attentive and welcoming. I would 100% come back in future!

Reviewed By rachid cAppartement très propre située à 300 m du centre ville de Oualidia à 500 m de la lagune disposant d'une cuisine entièrement équipée de plusieurs terrasses donnant sur le front de mer le personnel très aimable et professionnel notamment Mr Youssef le rapport qualité-prix est imbattable existance sur place d'un commerce de proximité au bord de la route nationale à l'entrée Est de la ville la station de grands taxis (transport Intercités) est à environ 350 m

Well run good little hotel in a great location
Reviewed By MetalTigerJust renovated so clean and fresh. I ate fresh crab in their restaurant and it was delicious. Lovely owner/manager who took time out to chat with me. As a solo traveller this sort of welcome makes all the difference. I love the lagoon, but this visit the water was too rough and too cold to swim. I will definitely return.

The garden is beautiful and is a calm, relaxing oasis after travelling. Breakfast was served on the terrace and was plentiful and tasty. Freshly squeezed orange juice was a bonus. We had a twin room and while it was tastefully decorated it was a bit cramped and musty. Both beds were, sadly, very uncomfortable. The bathroom was large and there was plenty of hot water but little pressure. It was a lovely stay and the host was so friendly and welcoming. New mattresses would be a great improvement though.

A delightful haven in the pretty holiday town of Oualidia.
Reviewed By Tony RMy wife and I found this delightful holiday hotel by chance and we are so glad we did . We have been coming to Oualidia for nearly 20 years but being June the town was busy and this was a last minute decision. A modern hotel with wonderful views right by the Oyster farms . Just out of the town it is very quiet . First impressions bright modern but still charming , and spotlessly clean . A very warm welcome from the charming owners who could not have been more helpful . We learnt they own a farm 20 miles inland providing produce for the pretty restaurant . Lovely fresh breakfast included in the amazing price for a bright clean charming double room with a pretty balcony overlooking the lagoon . Being a short walk from the town a quiet night allowed us a lovely sleep in our comfy double bed . We’ll be back , a perfect stop off point for our frequent trips from Tangier to Aglou. Next time we will stay longer to take advantage of lunch or dinner , a terrific price in a pretty restaurant, I’m afraid this time we only sampled the breakfast which was lovely .
