Looked on TA before our trip and noticed that most of the reviews on TA are from 2019 and no recent ones for unexplained reasons. The hotel and room was very clean but positives stop there. The "breakfast" was almost all carbohydrates except for yogurt with the rest dougnuts, breads, muffins, cereals and waffles.......nothing else to eat like eggs/omelets/meat which were totally absent. Bed was VERY firm with little "give"; coffee was actually drinkable unlike some hotels but still not above a 3 in flavor. We will stay somewhere else next visit in October.

This Hampton Inn with suites is the best option for extended stays. Quite spacious. Loved having both a couch and a comfortable side chair. The breakfast included fresh fruit— bananas, pears, apples and oranges, more fruit options than I’ve seen elsewhere. And this Hampton had dark roast coffee. Others I have stayed in recently had only light roast. I was there during the nor’easter so didn’t use the beach or outdoor areas and pools but it looked like a great spot to hang out. The hotel wasn’t crowded and was quiet. Daily housekeeping seems to be a past dream but that’s ok as towels and toiletries are left outside door daily. One can place trash outside door too. There were extra trash bags provided in the room.

Although the staff working there was very nice and doing their best, amenities such as housekeeping are not what they used to be pre-Covid. I’m sure that staffing is an issue, as it it in many service industries. The tip jars everywhere sent a message that employees aren’t being paid adequately and severe cutback in housekeeping services should be noted up front. You are responsible for cleaning your own room during your stay. They will make your bed, empty the trash or hand you some more coffee packets… but only on request in the morning before 10am. Cleaning is only offered every 5th day. Our floors were so dirty that our feet turned brown. We don’t fault the current staff. It’s clearly a hotel policy that is in the fine print on a decal in the bathroom. We will think twice before paying such a high rate for good location only but no real amenities.

My best friend found this place for a little birthday trip. We arrived and of course the word resort makes you expect some grand fancy hotel which it's not but we had no issues. The rooms were roomy, smelled good, were clean and the bed were comfortable. Staff was super friendly and helpful and I would totally stay here again... Next time I'll bring my puppers!

We arrived at the Best Western looking forward to our stay. We entered the front desk area and the lady was very nice. We picked up our room key (card) and went to our room. A little trouble getting in. You have to play with the card multiple times to get it to work. Once the green light comes on you have to lift up on the door handle. Once the door handle is up you have to push the door open to get in because the latch doesn’t clear completely. Once inside you wonder what happened in the room and why it looks like that. The carpet had spray paint on it along with some of the cabinets. The air conditioner in the bedroom was so loud you had to turn up the TV to hear it. The power for the A/C came from what used to be the bedroom closet because you can see the hinge where the door used to pivot. The power came from a flexible conduit to a plastic junction box. The conduit was attached with just one clamp. It would be very easy to pull it out of the box by getting some clothes hung up on it while removing them from the “closet”. The bedroom had a glass wall with a glass door on it. You could barely see out the glass it was so dirty. The door wouldn’t open. Move to the bathroom. You have an outlet in the bathroom but it wouldn’t work. So you dried your hair in the other sink area. Moving to the living room. Nice TV. But none of the seating was aligned so you could see the TV. Again the wall was glass with a door in it. Again the door didn’t work. You strain to see through the dirty glass so you could see the knoll but it was covered with trash. I don’t know what the code is in Kill Devil Hill but this room has a safety problem as there was no secondary egress from there.

We stayed in a partial view room with a balcony and everything was perfect. It was so nice to wake up every morning and watch the sunrise from bed. The gorgeous beach was just a quick walk over the dunes on the wooden walkway/stairs. The pool was great after a hot day on the beach. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the area. Everything you would need was conveniently located.

About a mile off I-95, the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Rocky Mount, NC welcomes interstate travelers looking for an inviting place after a long drive. Soothe your tired muscles in the hot tub while your kids work out some energy in the indoor pool. If you're traveling with your furry companion, don't worry-we're a pet-friendly hotel.
The staff was very friendly, and anything I asked for, they were so pleasant and genuinely happy to do it! I asked for a paper plate, and it was evening so the breakfast area was closed for the day, but the lady opened the breakfast area and gave me a few plates and when I thanked her, her response was "my pleasure" and she was so nice about it! The room was very clean with plenty of room, and a sitting area was a nice bonus! The other thing that I REALLY appreciated was the fact that the shower had a nice showerhead with great water pressure! It is so frustrating to stay in a hotel when the water almost dribbles out of the showerhead and makes it next to impossible to wash your hair! The breakfast was great...bacon and eggs were delicious, the coffee was so good that I even asked the desk clerk at checkout what brand of coffee they used! The lady who was the hostess in the breakfast room was friendly and very helpful too! The entire staff was excellent! The hotel location was perfect for restaurants and shopping, as well as easy access to I-95 allowing you to get back on the road quickly after checkout. I really enjoyed the stay, even though it was only for 1 night, but I would definitely use this location again on any future trip! Thank you for a great night's sleep and a top notch breakfast too!

At the Sanderling Resort, casually elegant first-class amenities blend seamlessly with the spectacular landscape to foster connection and renewal. Offering magnificent views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Currituck Sound, our guests have the same unique opportunity to admire both a sunrise and sunset - both over water. The Resort's guestrooms with their oversized bathrooms and generous decks, are a perfect complement to the quality of the natural setting, while our acclaimed spa and pools provide both unparalleled serenity at the tranquility pool, or a boisterous family environment at the Resort pool. The Resort's renowned restaurants offer the finest dining on the Outer Banks, with perfectly prepared and presented fresh coastal cuisine and a choice of venues to match the time of day, the season and your mood.
This is not a luxury hotel but does charge luxury prices. Our $500 per night room was tired and in need of an upgrade. It had cracked floor tiles in the bathroom, staines on carpet and soft furnishings etc etc. There was no drinkable water in the room and when asked the staff said ' come down and get one complimentary bottle of water'.....no room service due to the pandemic still (?) The beach bar was closed even in peak season when we asked were told we could go across the parking lot for a drink.... My main issue was the single use plastic its everywhere!! Please stop wrapping paper cups in plastic then wrapping that in more plastic its unbelievable and mind blowing in 2022... we won't return, sorry not sorry.
