The location is fantastic and the views are amazing well worth paying a bit extra for a sea view room, the staff were very polite helpful and friendly and the bed was comfortable, We dropped on amazing weather and it was disappointing not to have air con in our room or a fridge as it would of been nice to have access to a cold drink. Breakfast was gorgeous but I was a bit disappointed with my evening meal

I took 2 friends for lunch with there baby and was very impressed with the service I had one of the burgers and I’d even say it’s the best burger I’ve ever had. The waitresses were very kind and very helpful as we needed hot water for the baby’s feed and was more than happy to help us. We will definitely be back.

Located just outside Irvine, in Ayrshire, one of Scotland's most beautiful areas and only seven miles from Prestwick Airport, the Riverside Lodge Hotel Irvine is perfectly placed for both business and leisure. The hotel facilities include 125 en-suite bedrooms including family rooms, a contemporary newly refurbished restaurant and bar, serving quality and worldwide wines, beers & cocktails.
From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we all had a the most wonderful time. Walking in the hotel we were met by a lovely and friendly receptionist who booked us all in very quickly and was very helpful. The rooms were clean, fresh and spacious. Plenty of those toiletries you need and a good choice of coffee and tea which were replaced daily. Beds gave a comfortable night's sleep after busy days exploring the Ayrshire area and the hotel is ideally located, with good access to the road network. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality but I did expect traditional square sausage and not links but then some may prefer links to square. We did eat other meals in the hotel and were not disappointed. The hotel staff are a real friendly bunch and got to say the team servicing the rooms were brilliant, forget the room standards, you expect that but the friendliness and greetings plus how they made my grandson feel so special..... outstanding does not describe the team we don't often see. Incidentally my wife and I spent our honeymoon here 38 years ago when it was the Skean Dhu.

Had a few nights at this hotel in Largs whilst in the area on business, superb location and very impressive entrance area. Excellent friendly staff throughout the hotel, from a pleasant helpful receptionist through bar staff and even the room maid, all very presentable and likeable. Room was fine and as it was only booked a day or so before I arrived it fulfilled it's purpose well enough.

We only stayed for 1 night to visit family who live in Ardrossan. Room was lovely, bed was huge, would have been a lovely view if it hadn't been raining. Had a meal in the restaurant, meal was excellent, our family that we visited are vegan and catered for these also with varied menu. Breakfast was superb, order what you would like the night before. Lady behind the bar, very sociable, entertaining and knowledgeable about the area. We will return but for a longer period of time, unfortunatley the weather wasn't good this time so cut trip short. Would highly recommend and will return soon but will wait for better weather which unfortunatley the hotel could do nothing about .
