Great hotel, super value for money, in a not so lively apres-ski village
Reviewed By Don_Lorenzo_d_ArabiaThe hotel is great, good sauna facilities, delicious and copious food with half-board, clean and spacious rooms with balconies, friendly service. if you are with a large group, pay attention to the drinks being charged to your room, the staff is not always accurate. German is the best language to communicate in, English is "understood" as well. Do not accept a room if you don't like it, in particular 206 (or was it 208), had unpleasant terrace facing the parking and street, with much noise, but hotel changed it for me. The slightly more expensive rooms are larger, but if you are single, the standard is fine. Safe is of minimal size so small laptop barely fits in (mine has scratches on the edges to prove it!). No swimming pool, but the small dry sauna is rarely full, the steam room can use more steam !!! I did not us it for that reason. The relaxation room is only good if the other guests do not bring crying babies with them (staff needs to monitor this and not leave it to guests). Thanks to Marlene, the always smiley and helpful, and the Lithuanian man (sorry, forgot the name) dining servers who went out of their way to(but also others), the dining was a superb experience. The mostly meat diet, and mostly local Austrian dishes, as well, as amazing variety of breakfast choices, your stomach will always be happy. Albeit, the gluten free choices were limited, they did exist (I only noted them,but did not use them). There are cards and board games available to kill the time in the evenings, and you will need them, as the sleepy village offers next to nothing in terms of apres-ski entertainment. If you want that, you need to head to any hotel in Ischgl (Austria), but with the right group, one can have enough fun at Steiger. The value for money was excellent. around 830 euros per person for double rooms, and around 890 euros for single person in double room. These were our half-board prices, and it was worth it. However, there are other options in the same town, or perhaps even in the same hotel, when booking larger group (we were eight), or if you negotiate harder :-) * * * Big Thanks to all the staff for making this years end-of-the-season ski trip a success! * * *

Cosy Dog Friendly Hotel
Reviewed By sengloyStayed here in Feb with my Family and pet dog for 8 nights, while on a skiing hoilday. We were well looked after by Petra and her team. The food was excellent , great selection for breakfast and evening meal. The room are comfortable and very spacious and clean. This is really a relaxed and dog friendly place to stay. We will be back.

Farm house vacation at it's best - for families, hikers and more
Reviewed By SpSp1965This magnificently managed Pinzgau farm and it's owners family offers spacious and excellently equipped vacation apartments. All the furnishings and sanitary facilities are as good as new, very clean and perfectly maintained. The landlords welcome guests with charm and read special wishes from their eyes. A special service are the daily fresh eggs from the farm's own chickens. An financially important thing is that the guests are provided with the National Park Summer Card free of charge. The card offers, among other things, the free use of many means of transport and mountain railroads. The facilities in the garden with a small pool are attractive for families with small children, for adults there is, among other things, a gas grill. The Beham farmhouse is a truly gem for families who want to experience an untroubled vacation in a beautiful region of the Pinzgau in the Austrian Alps.

Amazing stay!
Reviewed By 1234Sil-via123We travellled as a family with 2 kids (11 and 8 y.old) for couple of days in mid-August and we were absolutelly satisfied with the hotel. The best for us was the summer card which was included in the price and which we used to maximum. It was also convenient that we could prepare snacks for the day at the breakfest (or one can have a soup for lunch at the hotel). Breakfest and dinner were delicious; at dinner the starter and some deserts (cheese) were in the form of buffet, the manin course and the "main" desert are served; there were always 3 different options for the main course - meat, fish and vege plus a kids' dish (but the kids can also choose from the "adult" list). It was great that we got the menu at the breakfest and could have already indicated our choices so then at the dinner the food could have been served quickly! There is a nice kids club with some crafting, films, disco etc. Kids were there couple of times and were happy with it. Swimming pool was nice and warm, not too big but as we were there always alone (we went always shortly before breakfest). We haven't used the "Badeteich" because we went for trips every day and always when we came back, it started raining (we were lucky!!) but it looks very nice. The kids though enjoyed enough water during the trips, especially at Krimmler waterfalls and the water playground nearby :-) The hotel has anti-COVID measures in place which are not manadtory but (almost) all guest were respecting. All the staff was nice and helpfull; we decided to extend our stay for one day and although the lady at the reception told us at first that our room had already been booked for that day, at the end they found a solution and we stayed in our room. The standard room was not too big but as we stayed there only overnight, it was no problem for us. In the evening, we played games in the nice "Stüble" downstairs; there was enough space. All in all - we liked our holidays in Hohe Tauren a lot and can warmly recommend the Kammerlander hotel.

The Wildkogel Resort "Das Neukirchen" is located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, in Neukirchen am Großvenediger, on the sunny side of the Kitzbühel Alps. The Neukirchen impresses with a total of 54 residential units, optional services and a wide range of wellness options. The location directly opposite the lift enables guests to easily access the high-altitude hiking area on the Wildkogel in summer. The Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region offers hikers and mountain bikers top-class mountain experiences and almost inexhaustible opportunities to be active. The region is also a real Eldorado for golf enthusiasts. There are five wonderful golf courses in the vicinity, all of which can be played with the Golf Alpin Card. In winter, the location directly opposite the lift enables guests to directly access the Wildkogel Arena ski area. In addition, the KitzSki (Kitzbühel) and Zillertal Arena ski areas are in the immediate vicinity. All ski areas can be accessed with one ski pass (Salzburg Super Ski Card). A total of 448 kilometers of slopes and the longest illuminated toboggan run in the world at 14 kilometers await our guests! The resort with its rooms and apartments impresses with its modern alpine style and the highest quality in terms of design and equipment. On up to 140m² you will find a lot of space and privacy. The wellness area with indoor and outdoor pool (Skypool), four different saunas as well as a spa and fitness area promises pure relaxation. The Theatro restaurant provides culinary delights and presents you with a selection of the best products from the region as well as delicious pizzas from the wood oven.

It's a gem in the area as it is 2 min walk from the gondola for skiing out (or summer acces for walking). It's in the heart of the Wildkogel arena. With an easy 20 minutes ride to Ziller Arena (start at Hochkrimmel) or a 10 minutes ride to Hollersback to ski in the Kitzbuller Alps it is the perfect location for both family skiing and adventurous tours. We have stayed here last summer and had great (electrical) bike rides and walking tours (Rettenstein is a recommendation) and stayed for skiing in winter 2022 on super prepared slopes. Highly recommended accommodation due to superb penthouses and fantastic wellness area (children have even a separate pool :-).

We booked 2 double rooms in this so called 4* hotel, with a terrific website. Unfortunately we had only one double room that came near the pictures used on the website. The second double room was priced the same but totally outdated. Our experience: * We first got double room 102 which was totally outdated and not even near the pictures on the website ... it had only one power socket on the wall (we are in 20th century) , it cracked and you could easily tripp , outdated bathroom, outdated bedroom, ... * So we asked for another room and we got room 101: - Also not near the pictures that we got, but there was already some more space - They showed us this room in the morning ... when we got back in the evening it was hotter than hot with a smell so we had to put the windows completely open the whole night to get a decent airflow. - The bedroom was totally dark and instead of watching tv, you could see your partner life in the tiny WC/bathroom * We went back to switch rooms and this time we got the owner which was totally unfriendly and said that we had booked a double bed with bad and shower, we had nothing to complain and that we could checkout and go elsewhere. * We are going to Austria multiple times per year already for more than 30 years, but never where we treated this way and never did we encounter a hotel that overpromissed and was so over priced! * So we booked two suites in a nearby hotel which were of a real 4* star rating with friendly owners as we are used in Austria The staff delivers a good service and the food was also good. We had no complaints about this. Only the owner was really unfriendly

Nice and quiet place to stay
Reviewed By slavohodulSpend few days during winter season in this hotel. It is situated little bit outside the village but it is less than 10 minutes by walk through nice snow track. Because of that - it’s quiet and nice place to relax. Kitchen is great, everyday nice dinner and waiters are cool and polite. Ski area is close by with many skiing and snowboarding opportunities.

Reviewed By podgee421Lovely, modern pension but still with that lovely Austrian atmosphere. Had a fantastic week here, Wolfgang could not do enough to make our stay a great one, we came away friends! Fantastic breakfast each morning, good sized. very clean and comfortable rooms....and the rate wasn't too bad either! Lovely and quiet, location was literally minutes away from restaurants and bars. I would recommend this property no problem.
