Let your mind wander while enjoying our saunas and afterwards you can dream in our cosy water bed relaxation room. Our cordial atmosphere and the extraordinary ambience of our hotel will enchant you.
We came from Finland to do some country country skiing in Austria. Our criteria for choosing the hotel was that it has to look nice, be of good quality, be peaceful/ relaxing and have good food: Via Salina fulfilled all these perfectly! Service was very good and friendly by everybody (two personnel members in the restaurant were exceptionally nice that I decided to remember their names so that I could mention them in Tripadvisor - now I am afraid that it took me so long to write this that I have forgotten both though :-) . The rooms were also good, tidy and comfortable and there was a nice view to the lake from the balcony. The toilet was cold, but luckily there was a separate bath room: one could not have washed oneself in the coldness... In the spa there was a pool area, sauna land with several different saunas and a quiet room with water beds for relaxing, It was a nice surrounding to get ones strength back after some hours of skiing! What did we need the strength in the evening for: not much else than for the dinner and early night, The dinner is, however, an important part of a holiday. Here the food was good, restaurant nice, service friendly and view magnificent: one could not hope for more...

Brand new elegant hotel, floor plan of rooms well thought through, wellness areas meet high standards, tasteful meals and always friendly staff makes this hotel a clear recommendation. Some smaller issues were addressed to the management who was keen to continue to improve.

We had an unforgettable weekend in this beautifully unique lodge. The moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the owners Daniela and Frank, who welcomed us with freshly mixed cocktails that immediately washed away our exhaustion from the long journey. We stayed in the Biedermeier Suite. Furnished with tastefully selected vintage furniture and decorative pieces, it was cosy and pleasantly composed in style. To our delight, the balcony of the suite opened up to a view of the mountains that fanned out majestically before us. As we explored the various parts of this spacious lodge, we found ourselves walking through layers and layers of surprises: the entrance hall that is guarded by a life-size antique metal armour, the rustic breakfast room that looks out to the garden pool, the spa area that is apt for spoiling anyone, and the Orient Express salon that captivates with its laid-back and mysterious oriental charm. Each room here has been thoughtfully set up with selective furniture and art pieces. It is not only a haven to rest, relax and reminisce in art and history, but also an invitation to travel and discover the world with the owners’ precious collections. After spending a good day hiking up and down the mountains, the natural pool in the garden offered a much welcome relief for our legs. For the less courageous, the indoor steam room and whirlpool are just as nice for getting rid of your fatigue. We also enjoyed a quiet game of croquet in the garden under the warm afternoon sun, and chilling out in the glass-roofed cigar lounge in the cool evening. The purpose of our stay was to relax, do some hiking, and de-stress from our busy working life. At Sunneschloessli, we have discovered more than we could imagine. We did relax, and relaxed with style in the cosiness of a place where we felt at home.

If you are looking for a quiet getaway in the Alps this is your place. The hotel rooms are above a horse barn and with fantastic views of the Alps. We rented a 6 person apartment and were happy with the amount of space. Full kitchen with dishwasher and stove. One shower separate from the toilet. Washer and dryer. Large dining table for 6. Couch and chairs were patio furniture so not very comfortable for lounging on. Beds were firm. Wifi available in apartment for a fee of 5 euros a day for 800 megabites. Not sure how good the signal was as we did not buy it. Breakfast or lunch can be purchased at the Eis Cafe onsite. Have to go into town for dinner though. Great place to ride horses or go on the hiking trails just outside the door. Pet friendly for a fee of 5 euros a day. Also note that you will be charged an 80 euro cleaning fee. We were not aware of this at the time of booking. They also have cribs and high chairs upon request.
