If your expectations are correct, you will love this place. This is a typical Residence Inn (which means free breakfast with minimal spread, spacious but dated suites, basic pool but no resort like facilities), but what differentiates this Residence Inn is its awesome location. We booked a partial view room for a night using our Bonvoy points and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Check-out was at 4 PM, which was a bummer but we used that time to go around the nearby museum (boring) and also went on a nearby trail (Hardy Lake - easy trek to great lake views). Check-In was smooth, my Gold Elite membership was recognized, loved the restaurants nearby, had a great sleep followed by a basic but hearty & clean breakfast. We checked-out at 1 pm after a bath following a trail to a nearby waterfall (Wilson's Falls at Bracebridge). Overall a great stay and quick primer to Muskoka. Waiting for a return visit once the steamships start cruising in summers.

We stayed for three nights over the long weekend. It was convient and the staff was great. The beds were comfortable and they room was clean, however the rooms were starting to show their age as the wallpaper was peeling in some places and the carpet had staples showing where it meets the tile. The breakfast was a huge perk for a busy family.

Arrived at the resort but self parking was too far from the main building so opted for valet parking. Called for car a few times during our stay, but it was not at the front when we came down 10 minutes later. Setting is stupendous and the view takes your breath away. Unfortunately it was raining for the 2 days of our stay. Plenty of young employees in all venues who are eager to help but they are mostly tentative and unsure of themselves, probably the covid reality of rehiring after all the shut downs. Some areas have been nicely refurbished but many sitting rooms are still in need of updating, including the room in which we stayed. Loved the size and layout of the suite.

Stayed for 2 nights during March Break 2022. Had a pleasant visit. The room was clean and quiet (on the top floor at the end) with a view of a forest and side view of the ski resort from the balcony. Used the restaurant and a play room. Did not use the pool, there were so many people, did not feel too comfortable in the given situation. Resort was all full, but could not complain about the noise, was all good for us, maybe because we were quite far from the action center. Dinner was ok, but kind of slow in service. At night there was not much to do outside of the hotel - nothing is there. But during the daytime you can use sleds and snow shoes that they offer for free - and go tobogganing at the back of the hotel (pretty nice slope) and snow shoeing on Lake Peninsula - beautiful views! Ski resort is just near the hotel, so that is awesome. The ski resort itself is nice, the equipment we rented was very dated. Saw a family of deer right near the resort. I'm sure it's very nice on the lake in summer! They have their own beach! Pretty nice stay. Thank you!

I always love these 1950s style 'motor on inns' that someone has seen the potential in and invested their time and money. This place is a great example. Situated down town the construction makes it a little difficult to get to from the north, but it's well worth it. Check in was in a nice large lobby where it's clear a continental breakfast is available in the morning. The gentleman who served me was very polite, professional and efficient. I provided my identification, and credit card and was off to my room. I stayed in room 110. Ground floor. Parking out front. The room is a great size and has clearly been renovated recently. You'll find USB outlets, a flat screen TV and 2 queen beds. WiFi is also included. The bathroom is nothing special, but clean, fairly modern and with a low tub wall for those with some mobility issues. Not unlike European hotels the vanity and sink area are outside of the bathroom. There is also a small refrigerator a microwave and a complimentary coffee maker in the room. The landscaping outside is a nice compliment to the overall tidy, modern and well kept property. Bravo! Would absolutely recommend this place to the tired traveler passing through, contractor, family or weekend getaway enthusiasts!

My wife and I (both 80) booked a 3-day weekend here last week. Alas, we could only tolerate 1 night in their rental apartment. Reason: fundamental design problems, viz: 1. Room to small for bed. You get a Queen but one person quite literally has to climb over the other person to get in or out of the bed. An example of skimping to save construction costs. 2. The is no soap/shampoo shelf in the shower. So you have to bend over to get them. Unsafe. Particularly as the shower has no safety of grab bar. On a positive note: The restaurant is excellent. All staff helpful.

The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable, although the first room smelled terrible and asked for a room change. The receptionist changed the room but repeated, told me why you are telling us now, you should say to us when you checked in. ( I checked in and left the room because I was late for my plan and came back later in the evening and noticed it smelled awful ). The second room also smelled bad but less than the first room. I think the air conditioner was the reason and needs cleaning. The young staff in reception and breakfast serving were behaving disrespectfully. It seems to me they had no training and doing it unprofessionally. The breakfast was laughable; the website says hot breakfast, but it was cold, giving up to five unhealthy items; the only healthy item was the hard-boiled eggs, which were out of stock the second day.
