Duck Inn has been completely rebuilt over the 2013 Summer and fitted out with fabulous fittings throughout. Our on site restaurant serves breakfast that is included in the tariffs. Fully cooked breakfast is included in July and August and continental breakfast is included in June and September. During July and August 3 course evening meals are included in the tariff. The Whole Duck Dinner is our speciality, and needs to be booked 24 hours before dining. The ski hire shop serves our guest with quality equipment and ski clothing. Whether you are skiing or snowboarding, we have the equipment that will fit you.
We love The Duck Inn as a family, we have been holidaying there every year for the past 5 years. It is so convenient to have accommodation, breakfast, dinner and ski hire all in one place. It is premium quality, friendly, consistent and great value. We appreciate experience every time we stay.

Kabuki is amazing, It is brand new and there is nothing like it on the mountain. We have already stayed twice in 2021. It is best described as a self catering hotel. There are only 5 rooms, hotel style with TV's and ensuites. The facilities including kitchen, living dining, laundry, drying room are shared between the 5 rooms. These are s are modern, well fitted out and absolutely CLEAN. There are separate lockable ski lockers for each room. The whole place is hydronic heated with radiators in each room. You can adjust the level of heat by turning the knob at the bottom of the radiator. The higher the number, the warmer it will get. The COVID safe check in is great. It is all done before you arrive. We forwarded the required information via encrypted WhatsApp - super SAFE. We followed the instructions to install TTlock on our phones and received keys on our phones. Super funky. You walk up to the door, open TTLock app, select the door you want open (entry door or room door), tap the padlock icon on the app, and voila - door lock is open. No more lost keys. We cooked in the kitchen in the evening and shared a meal with other guests that stayed there. It was great - we made new skiing friends. Highly recommended.

Jo, Frank, and Liam are the most beautiful people you ever find on the Mt Buller. They not only provide clean and warm accommodation but also go extra mile to help you out and save you. In our example, our car got trapped in thick snow, the Buller management did not get it out, but they did. What a bunch of amazing people. Highly recommend to anyone. Jenny & Richard

Stayed in Autumn. Neat and tidy accommodation. Mountain bike storage avail downstairs and a decent games room upstairs. Typical smaller ski lodge rooms, but not uncomfortable at all. Somewhat dated, but still in good nick. Breakfast was provided (Continental) and had 3 meals in the bar during the week, great tasty food, well cooked and presented, standard mountain top pricing, which is to be expected when you are in a remote ski resort. Heaters provided in the room, worked well, comfortable beds, clean and tidy. Great hot showers. Staff member: Renee at check-in, was great, with good customer service skills and a pleasant attitude.

Affordability is probably the only reason you would choose this accommodation up the mountain. the lodge is 10 mins walk from the village; closest bus station is 50 meters' away. Pure distance is not the problem. carrying all the snow gears to travel this distance is the issue, especially with small family members. room size is what I call below average. the lodge is clean; however, showers and bathrooms are shared facilities. rooms have no locks. there is continental style / self-served breakfast. however it feels odd the lodge staff eat the same time as you eat. And you are consistently reminded dont talk too loud / dont run / leave your wet boots outside the lodge etc etc. all of these made you feel being watched.

The Ivor Whittaker Memorial Lodge - "The Whitt" boasts comfortable en suite bedrooms and a mountain favourite a-la-carte restaurant. The iconic Dump Inn Bar is available for functions. The "Whitt" bar exudes history and a unique charm and ambiance and is a favourite with the locals. Kandahar Lodge is club style self catering with comfortable bunkrooms and shared bathrooms. Both lodges have easy access to Shakey Knees and Bourke Street ski runs.
We had a great night at the Whitt. Comfortable rooms and friendly service. Sadly a lockdown cut our stay short. The staff were terrific with explaining options and provided a full refund for the nights we couldn’t stay. We will be back for another stay

Owned and Managed by the Ski Club of Victoria, Kandahar Lodge is a traditional family style lodge with comfortable and affordable accommodation. In a great location with "ski in - ski out" access onto Shaky Knees ski-run or a short walk to the Bourke Street run, Kandahar is the perfect place to stay for families, groups and schools.
Mt Buller is a fantastic location, the lodge experience without facilityes is quite different, but the place is very clean and cozy. During weekdays the chairlift does not work. The village during the week is practically empty, great for those who want to rest, but with few options of restaurants and bars

Renowned for its cuisine (especially its legendary smorgasbord dinner on Friday nights) and friendly family atmosphere, the Ajax Ski Club has been part of the Mt. Buller landscape for more than thirty five years, With an extensive upgrade of its facilities in 2004, Ajax is a modern family lodge with a variety of different sized rooms available either as shared accommodation or as a private room. All rooms have private en suite facilities, with linen and towels supplied. After an exhilarating day on the snow, guests are invited to wind down by the comfort of our open fire, retreat to our library mezzanine for some quiet time or maybe relax in our new infra-red sauna. Other facilities include table tennis, pool table, drying room, guest computer, free broadband wireless internet, TV room (47” HD LCD TV) with a DVD player and indoor ski storage. Ajax is unique on Mt. Buller, being one of the very few lodges on the mountain providing accommodation inclusive of a 3 course meal (licensed for beer and wine) and a cooked breakfast. .AJAX is often regarded as a haven for families that prefer maximum value for their dollar and is conveniently located on Stirling Road with a bus stop directly at the door that provides easy access to and from the Mt Buller Ski School and ski runs. Ajax is only 300 meters from the heart of the village and provides conference facilities and caters for school groups and disabled skiers.
What a home away from home! Midge and her team really made us feel welcome. The lodge is cosy and warm with comfortable lounge areas. The real bonus was the food - a fabulous 3 course dinner and a cooked breakfast! We'll be coming back.

Went here on 24 June 2019 till 25 June 2019. Here are my point of view in point format: Location: Location are good as it is near to the ski area AND they have sunview deck where you can catch sunrise over horizon of mountain! Room: Quite spacious, tv console need to upgrade but it ok, coz we don't even watch the tv. Complimentary tea bag and toiletries. Wall partition quite hallow because you can hear people talk outside. Room heater not strong enough (or maybe i'm not sure how to operate the heater, LOL). Toilet: Small, No Bathtub. Service: Good. While waiting for check-out, we at first taught that the check-out time was 2pm. Time was 1pm, the receptionist came and knock at our door saying that the check-out time was 12nn. Due to miss-communication between me and Agoda, the reception understand our situation and tell us if they want to proceed check-out time at 2pm but they will charge late check-out time or give us buffer 30 mins to get ourself ready for check-out without any charges. Well, actually we all done packing and was waiting for time to check-out. So far everything went smooth. Lobby and other facilities: Good. They do have like kids area room, pub and sunview deck at level 2. Price: During winter season, most of the place there is kind of expensive. Overall: GOOD!! 24 June 2019

We stayed for 2 nights & honestly I couldn't have handled more than that. These rooms are so basic, no bedside table, nowhere to store clothes (beyond 3 hooks on the wall) & really no space to move. It's not a hotel, it's a ski lodge. If you are happy with basic then this is fine, but for the rate we paid, I expected more, particularly because on some websites it's called "Buller Central HOTEL". The breakfast was good, the location is excellent & the staff are lovely.
