While in Cardona be sure to experience local tapas favorites at Gaelic Gastro Pub. There is no shortage of things to do in the area, and there are several great attractions that are within walking distance of Parador de Cardona, including Castillo de Cardona, Conjunto (0.5 mi) and Església de Sant Miquel (0.2 mi). Parador de Cardona puts the best of Cardona at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.
This parador is special as it is in a castle. We were given a room on the top floor and enjoyed unblocked view of the town and beyond. Room is very well-maintained and spacious. This parador is one of the busiest of our six paradors stay as there are always guided castle tours happening and casual visitors in the castle. I would recommend for a stay here to have the experience of staying in a castle.

Mon Sant Benet is located in the middle of nature in a quiet and relaxing environment, next to the monastery of Sant Benet de Bages, in Sant Fruitós de Bages. They have a private terrace with views of the monastery or the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l'Obac natural park. The hotel has a private pool where you can relax, 4.000 m2 of peaceful gardens and a library. Just 20 minutes by car from the Bodegas Abadal and Manresa, the establishment has 3 restaurants with a wide and varied gastronomic offer. Among them, L'O Restaurant, awarded with a Michelin star. Thanks to its beautiful and peaceful surroundings, next to the monastery of Sant Benet de Bages, it is the ideal place to celebrate weddings and enjoy its natural environment. Located 70 km from Barcelona and the airport, it has a Congress Center with 19 rooms ideal for conferences, conventions, meetings or banquets. In addition, its location is ideal to visit other nearby locations such as Cardona or Montserrat just 30 minutes by car.
The experience which sticks most in our memories is nearly losing our passports; they fell out of a pocket, while we were leaving. Luckily the lady who checked us out spotted this and brought these to our car. That stands for all our contacts with Hotel Mon's staff; alert, helpful, efficient and friendly. Also fluent English speakers. The gin and tonics we enjoyed in the superbly designed lounge overlooking the monastery are the next most memorable items: never have we seen such large/heavy goblets, containing about twice the normal contents. Only one of those necessary before dinner. Both dinner and breakfast were very good: for breakfast, full marks for frying eggs to order, and providing freshly squeezed orange juice and Cava. The standards are very high in this hotel, as shown by the care and attention, and training of the staff. Just a couple of niggles; the restaurant was not open at lunchtime, and we couldn't get a twin room with an easy to access shower; we were offered such a room, but it was fully equipped for mobility impaired guests, which we didn't need/want. The shower in the bath was what we got instead. In praise of the room, it was modern, spacious and comfortable: plenty of wardrobe space.

We were mis-sold the apartment. We booked and paid for a room with a washing machine and a toaster. Unfortunately these had been removed from the room. I mentioned it to the reception staff but they were unable to help and said that they could do something the following day, but we were checking out at 8am and needed to wash our clothes the night before. This was a real inconvenience as we had booked the apartment especially for this reason. We were also told that there was unreserved parking, however, on arrival all of the car parks were full ‘complet’! The only place that we could find a space was a five minute walk away. We parked the car at midnight and when we returned just after 9am to get it our car had been towed away by the police 1) because someone had broken into the car, although fortunately nothing stolen, just riffled through and 2) because it was restricted parking (we do not speak Spanish, so did not know about any restrictions) and thought that the car would be safe overnight, especially as there were other cars in the street parked all the way along - these didn’t get towed away or fined tho!...we did wonder whether we had been targeted because we had a car hire sticker on the back of the car, and therefore deemed as a target?!). I asked reception if this happened often and explained that we should have been warned and we were told that even the cars that park outside the apartments get fined sometimes! We clearly said on our form that we were travelling by car, so there should have been a warning about this! If the car Park was not full then we would not have had this problem (we did not Pre-Book as the booking form said that reservation was not needed!!). We were really disappointed with the room. There were bare wires, the shower had mould/mildew on it, the windows were dirty and the floor clearly hadn’t been cleaned - our feet were covered in dust and dirt from walking around the room (we always take our shoes off at the door), the taps were dirty and covered in grime, the shower did not drain (must have been clogged from hair?), there were knives missing, plates/bowls and glasses were chipped, the walls and windows were dirty, the shower fitting was hanging off, the sofa bed had stains on it, and there were no fire regulations in the apartment in the event of a fire. The fittings were cheap and the curtains were so thin that they let light in. I have taken photos of all of the above as proof. I tried to resolve my complaint with the management once I returned from our four week trip travelling around Andorra, Spain and France, however, they have not been helpful and it has fallen on deaf ears. It is against the law to charge someone for a facility that you do not get! My advice - avoid!! I would hate for anyone to have the unfortunate experience that we had! I couldn’t wait to check-out of the place and feel clean again!

The first boutique hotel in the center of Manresa. The central and modernist Casa Padró-Riera (1914), located just in the corner between Passeig Pere III, number 38 and Àngel Guimerà street, lodges the first hotel boutique in the capital of El Bages. The house has been restored, preserving its own architectural elements, such as adorned ceilings and terraces with hydraulic tiles, in order to house a cozy hotel in front of the emblematic Kursaal Theater and the Casino de Manresa. The HOTELET has 7 rooms; all of them with a King size bed (2x2), intelligent television, full bathroom, balcony and / or terrace, full fridge, free Wi-Fi and natural light. In order that all guests feel like at home in this new hotel establishment, we priorize our high quality and costumer service and we adapt ourselves to all needs.
Everything they say in their specs is correct, this is a top class boutique hotel. Rated 2 stars officially, I would rate it 4 stars. Friendly efficient check in, with a cup of coffee or cava offered. Beautiful common room with free tea or coffee (Nespresso) and lovely big room. I was in room 1. Great shampoo and stuff Rituals brand, great rainshower. Comfortable big bed. Everything top. Cheap rate parking close by, just around the corner, I paid 12 euro. Lots of nice restaurants close by. Very good breakfast, eggs made to your liking on simple demand. I cannot wait to go again when I am next in the area, or before I catch a flight back out of Barcelona airport, one hour drive away.

Great location, the room was extremely clean, hosts were super helpful. Great option for hikers and short visits. Restaurant and reception were closed, breakfast was offered in the patisserie opposite the church (5min walk, was great).

Had a couple of nights here on business; room was spacious, as long as you like it open plan - no walls between the spa bath and the bed. Entrance porch is cold, though goes into a warm room, all open plan and tiled floors. Doors on to a small patio area, which one hopes the brickwork will be finished, and the pigeon poop washed away before spring. The curtains aren't up to much, they don't meet in the middle, or the edges, and there's a big security light outside, so if you like the dark, you'll need eyeshades. And pulling them away form the walls is going to expose some rather nasty damp patches. Big car park, just off the dual carriageway, didnt see the pool.

The Hotel Bremon, located in the historic center of the municipality of Cardona and built in the old school of Carmelitas Vedrunas, building dating from the nineteenth century, is an establishment with its own history. It has 19 cozy rooms, all equipped with air conditioning, flat screen TV, safe and free Wi-Fi. The establishment has private parking and a terrace where you can enjoy the wonderful views of the Castle. Located one kilometer from the Castle of Cardona and the Salt Mines, it is the ideal place to enjoy the history that surrounds Cardona while visiting its old town and strolling through its streets that will transport you to medieval times. You can not leave Cardona without visiting the Church of Sant Miquel, the Josep Arnau Salt Museum or the Cultural Park of the Montaña de la Sal. Just 30 minutes from Bodegas Abascal and an hour's drive from Montserrat, Bremon is the perfect stop to visit nearby towns.
The hotel is located in in the old section of Cardona. It seems a little run down. There was no kettle or coffee making facilities. The lighting in the room was very poor. The air conditioning is centrally controlled, not able to change per room requirements. The room key was very large, not easy to lose. However the room was very large with a good shower. The free WiFi was good. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff were very friendly.

I like this hotel and restaurant. It's clean, tidy, modern, well kept and reasonably priced. It's not a vacation hotel/resort, more like a motel. Easy to get to, and it has its own parking. The restaurant serves excellent dinners, the menu has some nice Catalonian specialties, good house wine. I stayed here last year for Rider1000 (a motorcycle event) and again this year, it was great to park the bike, sit back and have a beer on the terrace before dinner. It's set well back from the road so it's peaceful and quiet.

A quiet place to experience life in the countryside and find the calm at the present time. La Garriga de Castelladral is a large house surrounded by woods and nature that allows to evade from the city and enjoy the peace and silence in an environment of elegance. It is an eighteenth century building offering magestic views from Montserrat mountain. The 20 rooms in the hotel of the house are generous in size and quality, creating an atmosphere of harmony and tranquility. It has the original winery and a family library, a beuatiful wellness SPA, a restaruant at the old barn and other charming spaces that will invite you to enjoy and relax. The hotel organize Yoga, meditation and Nutrition retreats.
The reviews for this were amazing so we booked it for a wedding. The place itself is amazing, the views are breathtaking, but the service and the food selection is terrible... The place is a rustic retreat in the mountains so a lot of uncomfortable stairs, uneven floors, gravel everywhere. We arrived for a family weekend and had booked the full hotel. I had to drag my suitcase in these stairs myself, the hotel does not provide this... The hotel provides room cleaning between 9 and 12, if you're in the room during that time, too bad . .no service is provided although you pay 236 euro per night... But the worst is the food selection... we booked a brunch for 60 people, they provided tomato salad, cut avocados, omelette, 1 selection of salami and1 white cold sausage, some cereals and jam....that was the whole brunch... The girl at reception wass arrogant, lazy and couldn't care less. . A bad experience, so glad we booked an outdoor catering witch was actually amazing and in stark contrast with the lousy selection of the hotel. Conclusion, if you are a hopeless lover of mountain views, you will love the views, just don't expect anything else
