Best Liberia has to offer in hospitality.
I enjoyed my stay at Cape Hotel from April 29 until May 28. Food was good , room clean and comfortable, warm welcome, clean swimming pool. Nice sea view and secure. I always feel like home during all my stay in that hotel. congratulations to the manager and his staff

The Mamba Point Hotel has a country lodge atmosphere where Presidents, Ambassadors, international business people, and government officials can meet in a relaxed environment. Located in the diplomatic area of downtown Monrovia, the Mamba Point Hotel is only a few minutes from most of the Liberian government ministries. The hotel has 24/7 electricity and guests can use the swimming pool, tennis court, jacuzzi, work-out room and other amenities.
Excellent accommodations. Personal touch. Somah is a very professional maître d’hôtel as is the staff at front desk. The owners are ever present, always greeting with a smile and ensuring smooth operation. Reliable power and solid fast internet. The restaurant has a great variety of Lebanese specialties, Indian, Liberian fusion, and American/European food if you want a steak or a burger. But the Lebanese menu is the best. Highly recommended.

RLJ Kendeja Resort & Villas is a 78-room, four-star-plus resort set on 13 acres of West African Atlantic coast near Monrovia, the capital city of Liberia. The resort forms part of building the new Liberia and is the brainchild of Robert L. Johnson, founder of BET (Black Entertainment Television) and the RLJ Companies in the United States of America. Although still owned by RLJ Group of Companies, REDEFINE INTERNATIONAL HOTELS BLD has been managing the resort since April 1, 2013. The resort features an "à-la-carte" Restaurant adjacent to a sunny terrace on the pool deck with a lavish Sunday Brunch Buffet, as well as an in-doors main, fully AC Bar. It also has a Beach Bar & Grill, 24 Hours Room Service, a well appointed Spa, a Gym, a Pool, Laundry Services and a Gift and Souvenir Shop. Other features are 24-hour-power / fully AC / wireless internet / high security and international service standards. The Resort also has 2 luxurious banqueting rooms for up to 30/40 persons, which are suitable for conferences and other events.
We were allocated rooms that had not been used for a while...the musky air, with dusty and torn bedding. We complained about it and we recieved an insincere apology as our feedback to replace bedsheets was reported as 'overturning beds'. The worst thing about this experience is knowing that we could have received value for money elsewhere. Don't go to that hotel. Just don't.

Fifty eight rooms consisting of four deluxe suites, two presidential suites and fifty two deluxe double rooms. Two fully equipped conference rooms, two business centres, gym and spa. Twenty four hour concierge service. Free wireless internet. Two restaurants and rooftop patio. Airport shuttle service. Satellite television.
We travel throughout West Africa and RGH is a favorite for sure. Bilal, the operations manager, is always kind and incredibly helpful with all our business needs. We stayed for 10 days recently and were so impressed how attentive the entire staff is. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious and the restaurants are the best in Liberia. You won’t be disappointed. P. S. When you stay don’t forget the additional cafes for delicious treats.

Unsafe to stay. I was offered a spacious room, but all walls were covered with mushrooms and mold. I was allowed to change. Second room had the same issue. No room comes with a safe, doors were easy to open even without card, the echo from the hall is so strong that you hear every little step at night, making it hard to sleep. People stay often awake to chat in the hall and party, annoying for people who need to rest. Breakfast was the absolute basic and only nescafe was served. Dining at night was unavailable. My security advisor contacted me to request me to move out cause the analysis conducted showed the hotel was unsafe. I stayed non the less, but it was a mistake. Felt unsafe at night.

I was in and out of this hotel from March to May 2021, whilst travelling for work. The rooms differ in layout, but are generally comfortable and kept very clean. Most of the staff are polite, helpful and kind - sadly there’s one or two exceptions, which lowered my rating. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would recommend the hotel if the location is convenient for you!

On Booking, this hotel is called Afrikland Hotel. While the hotel is managed by Afrikland, the correct hotel name remains City Hotel. The duplicate entry for the Afrikland Hotel on TripAdvisor should be deleted. My reservation was for a single room, which pictures showed to have a double bed. Don't worry if your reservation explicitly states: "for max. 1 person". Whatever Booking says, a single room always accommodates 2 people, while a double room (2 double beds) sleeps 4. As soon as I made my reservation, I received a message inquiring if I wanted a free airport transfer. Since the airport is 60 km from the city center, a free transfer (one way only) is a nice perk! In a city where accommodation is way overpriced, the City Hotel offers no frills rooms in the heart of the city at reasonable rates. When I couldn't switch the A/C on after checking in, the problem was dealt with immediately. When my fridge wasn't working after I'd shopped for drinks, it was promptly replaced. Ideally, you want a hotel where everything just works. A hotel that actually remedies any problem that arises is a great consolation prize. There is no elevator, but personnel are available to carry your luggage up the stairs. Signing in through a webpage to access the free hotel WiFi is antiquated, but the WiFi always worked on both my laptop & phone, and was surprisingly fast for African standards. There were plenty of electrical sockets, accepting both European & US plugs. Breakfast is always included in the room rate. Plenty of delicious choices are available: omelets, scrambled eggs, American breakfast & various Arab options. Since they recently lowered their prices to attract more customers, the hotel restaurant now offers great food at honest prices. The morning after checking in, I was rudely awakened by construction noise. The incessant banging lasted all day. For the next 3 days, it was quiet. The day I checked out, the banging resumed. While it may not be noisy every day, beware that construction is ongoing at the hotel! You will be asked to pay a deposit at check-in. Credit cards payments are accepted, but not all reception staff knows how to operate the various devices.
