A Puglia port town that’s equal parts historic and functional, Monopoli makes a splash with medieval churches and castles jutting above the Adriatic. It’s also a painter’s dream, with bright blue fishing boats adding a pop of color against whitewashed harbor walls.

Albergo Diffuso Monopoli was born from the determination of a group of friends to create an alternative accommodation that is able to offer tourists an experience of authentic life, door to door with the local people. Albergo Diffuso Monopoli doesn’t offer the classic stay, the host gives to all guests the opportunity to live a "slow" holiday and an authentic experience as resident and not as a tourist in touch with the old town of Monopoli. The historic of Monopoli still retains the charm of a medieval village, heritage of the beautiful architecture, traditions, spirituality and folklore. For the birth of Albergo Diffuso nothing new has been created, but historic houses were renovated with a great attention to the preservation of the own architectural features. From the fisherman to a noble house, it has tried to preserve the atmosphere of that age, however furnish all dimora with all amenities. Those who choose Albergo Diffuso Monopoli has available spared houses and rooms that are no more far than 200 meters from the "heart" of the hotel, the reception and the cafe with breakfast room.
Albergo Diffuso gives you a real old world stay in Puglia as it still has the original stone stairway and entrance. Rooms are spacious and clean. Location is fantastic as you are steps away from all the shops & restaurants as well as the beaches and port area. The reception staff were very helpful with arranging all our excursions and using Whatsapp made it effortless (highly recommend the 3 hr boat tour). Sabrina and Silvia were wonderful to deal with and managed to organize all our many requests and always with a smile. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Il Melograno is an unmatched five stars luxury Masseria in Puglia situated in between the beautiful lush hills and the blue of the Adriatic sea. Il Melograno, fortified Masseria of the XVII century, is the typical Mediterranean style house with its solid and simple appearance, its typical Apulian white stone wall on sight painted with white lime, it is bordered between five hectares of beautiful centenary olive groves interspersed with bougainvillea and citrus groves.
Here on a backroads bicycle tour. Beautiful place but the draperies are basically white bed sheets, so the light directly outside our window kept me awake all night. The sun was up at 5:15 so any hope of sleep was over. Went to try and get a coffee at 7:10 only to be told the kitchen didn’t open until 7:30. Very disappointing…don’t think a coffee would be difficult in Italy. My dinner the night before was so so at best and my wife’s was terrible. Some of the first bad food we’ve ever had in Italy after many trips here. Puglia is fantastic but recommend going somewhere else where they understand service.

Corvino Resort, recently renovated, far only 4 kms from Monopoli centre, is situated on the evocative Apulian coast, in a green oasis of serenity and peace. It is located just few kms away from the historical, architectural and natural wonders of Alberobello, the caves of Castellana, Ostuni, Martina Franca, Fasano and Polignano a Mare. The resort lays tunefully down on a reef characterized by natural caves, brushed by a deep blue sea with its stunning colors, just 200 meters away from small sandy inlets that can be reached on foot. Thanks to its new management, Corvino Resort represents the perfect location where to spend a relaxing holiday in the pursuit of sport, delicious food and entertainment.
Understanding that you are saving on your holiday, one should consider the level of the residence. Although the club system is far from being called new, it is situated in a beautiful location! Not far from Bari and Alberobello, and fantastic beaches, you can have a great holiday in a nice company especially! The residence beach is not the best one for the kids but the little ones enjoyed the swimming pool a lot. I can not say I was impress by the evening program ‘cause I have seen much better ones before in other hotels. There is no small supermarket on the territory of the residence which is not convenient at all and you should take your car to drive to the supermarket which is 1 km from this place. One other thing that made the holiday not the most enjoyable one: no air conditioning when it is +35 C outside. You feel like in a sauna 24 hours a day. Not taking into account all these disadvantages like *no air conditioning *no supermarket nearby * the beach not adapted for the kids You can have a great vacation because •the location is outstanding •lots of great restaurants nearby •and if you travel with a fantastic company. We enjoyed our short vacation here in spite of all! Thanks a lot!

Santa Maria 24 Guesthouse Santa Maria 24 means simple traditions blended in with the comfort of innovation. It is the melting pot of matchless sensations immersed in a genuine local frame, the old centre of Monopoli.
Every single person at this hotel was professional, warm and helpful. Antonella, who I never met but who answered every question that I emailed, Patrizia the manager, a truly outstanding person, Sandrine the owner, and Rocco, the gentleman who drove us to and from our parking spot in his 1974 aqua Citroen. What a way to arrive! The -asking that the hotel can arrange is a brisk walk but not inconvenient as we didn’t move our car more than once a day. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable bed, clean, nice bathroom, outstanding bath products and robes and slippers. The kitchen had an espresso machine and we welcomed the fridge for our wine and water. There seemed to be enough pans and dishes in the kitchen if one wants to cook. . Breakfast was wonderful, the usual European meats and sweets. My husband is a big fan of charcuterie and he said that the quality was outstanding. Yogurts, many varieties, fruits, fresh juices, a box of teas, coffees, really the best. The location is perfect. We chose a room with a sea view. I would not look any further if I return to Monopoli. Thank you all for your hospitality.

Our House In the heart of the Itria Valley, nestled in the emerald green of the olive trees, a few kilometers from the trulli of Alberobello, the caves of Castellana, Zoo Safari Fasano and the beautiful beaches of Monopoli, this old rural house at the end of 700 has been transformed in accordance with the original architectural features in a small bed and breakfast of charm. The warm atmosphere of the winds, is combined with the services and comforts that satisfy the most demanding guest. A suite in the trulli and three bedrooms each with their own personality, furnished with love by Rosa the hostess, make your stay relaxing and familiar. The pool offers spectacular views of the surrounding olive groves. Watch the sun set into the pampered by relaxing hydromassage, gives feelings of well-being and serenity. Every morning, a rich breakfast with homemade marmalade, ricotta still warm from the farm, bread baked in a wood oven and even fresh fruit, juices, yoghurt, meats, pastries and croissants, wishes you a good morning. On request, breakfast room, there is a fully equipped kitchenette. The B&B Mirella is the ideal place for those wishing to spend the holiday in completely relax. Rosa, the hostess, on arrival will welcome you with the phrase: "My home is your home ... Welcome!"
Mirella B&B was amazing! Beautiful property in the middle of olive trees, with its own trulli as part of the structure. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, with a very comfortable bed and anything you can ask for. They have even left some bottles of water, snacks, and some mandarines for us from their own trees. The bathroom was large and very clean. The owners are lovely as well, friendly, helpful, providing information about the area, food, and culture... and the breakfast... the breakfast deserves an extra star! Home made pastries, sweets, yogurt and jams, locally sourced ham, cold cuts, cheeses, and bread, perfect cappuccinos... Honestly, just go there for the breakfast! We did not use the pool (too late in the year) but it looked amazing!

Tenuta Monacelle is a deep soul place. Its architecture draws on the cultural traditions of Apulia and contains the stone, the stone walls, the red geraniums, the pinnacles of trulli, the natural flavors. Staying here means finding a dimension of relax and authentic pleasure. Among the Valle d'Itria olive trees, close to the Adriatic Sea, in every corner of the estate you can listen to a story of gestures, smells and voices of an authentic land. Many different souls coexist in here. The one of hospitality with suggestions for short and long overnight staying. There’s the cult of catering with traditional but open to innovation cuisine. Always with a close relationship between food and wine.
Beautiful venue fantastic food and staff. We had 50 guests from all over the world and all said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Special thanks to Nicola, Grazie and Danielle for their kindness.
