We really enjoyed our safari in the Udawalawe park with Lasa and thanks to his experience, we had the chance to observe elephants, peacocks, crocodiles, and dozens of colorfull birds. We really had the time to enjoy every moment. Thank you very much !

Although there were some complications with the booking prior to arrival, we absolutely enjoyed our stay at Avendra Garden Hotel. The hotel is located a bit off the main road, but finding it was not difficult and there was ample parking space. The rooms and bathrooms were new, spacious and spotless and the beds were comfortable too. Rooms opened to a nice garden that was well maintained. The manager, Mr. Rasika was a nice person who welcomed us with a smile and made sure everything was taken care of. A bit about what I didn't like about the hotel. After having booked a room that clearly said can accommodate 5 people, the manager called the day before to tell that they do not have a room that fits 5! Ended up paying more for 2 rooms so before you book, better to call and confirm. The bathroom door locks were broken in both rooms and the frosted glass on bathroom doors were too transparent.

Do you want to enjoy a break in a quiet surrounding? Kuda Oya Cottages will be the best place to enjoy such a peaceful stay. The cottages are located in the dry zone in close proximity to the elephant infested jungles. We were treated well by the family who were in-charge. The food was extremely delicious with different types of flavors which brought out the real sinhalese taste. Rooms and the bathrooms were arranged very neatly with the basic facilities needed. The sun rise along with the chirping of the birds made our mornings refreshing and peaceful to begin. This was another level of experience which was and is still memorable to us. We would love to visit Kuda Oya cottages again and experience this amazing surrounding and nature.
