I had booked the apartments on the recommendation of our family friend who had stayed here and our decision was 100 percent correct. Our family of six adults and four kids stayed at Lampalo apartments for 3 nights from31 May to 3 June 19. The location is simply fantastic and very scenic. Two apartments and the double rooms were very clean comfortable and nicely furnished. Our hosts were so loving and caring, right from our arrival to departure they were looking after us as if we are their family members. We had most of our food/meals right from breakfast to dinner here only. The dining place overlooking sea gets nice breeze. The food, grilled fresh fish, chicken, octopus, lamb etc was delicious and served with lot of love and affection. In desert different varieties each time especially raspberry cake was fabulous . Ms Jele was kind enough to come to Sobra port personally to receive us. Both of them were extremely loving and caring and made all efforts to ensure that our stay was most comfortable. My entire family loved the place, food and hosts so much that we would love to revisit the place. I highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Mljet Island. .

My friend and I spent a night in this Guest House (check-in on September 1). We were on a bicycle tour around Dubrovnik and stayed nearly every night at a new place. We had a wonderful time and were delighted with Croatian hospitality, until we arrived at this Guest House. To our surprise, we have received a very cold welcome from the host who was rude and mean to us. He met us at the habour which is only 200 meters away and instead of smiling or asking how are you, he looked at our luggage and angrily asked: "Do you expect me to carry all this luggage?". All our luggage is two trolley bags, one of which is cabin sized. And luggage transfer was one of the arrangements with the agency we booked our tour with. We are girls and had our bikes with us, so we could not to carry luggage and bikes at the same time. The host took one of the suitcases and disappeared for a quarter of an hour. We did not know back then that the Guest House was only 200 meters away (with no stairs on the way to it) and the host left our luggage on the road (yeah, why bother, if it is not yours). When the host got back to us, he was even more irritated, and refused to help us with the second suitcase, unless we begged him to do so. And he just left, refusing even to give us directions as how to arrive to the Guest house. "Look for them on the internet", he answered and went to talk to someone in the street. Is this really the way one should treat his guests? When, loaded with bikes and the second suitcase, we finally arrived at the Guest house, the host has got somehow less angry (was he satisfied?) and carried one of the bags upstairs. We would have preferred him not to, because, as a result, the handle of the suitcase got broken. It can happen if you are careless and use it to lift the suitcase. Owner or employee, it is really a shame that a guy like this works in hospitality industry and offers such service. About the room itself. We had an attic room which was offered to us as a twin room. But the room actually had a double bed (which is ok, but not suitable for grown-ups who are just friends) and a small bed (which was so narrow that even a slim girl like my friend was not able to turn without lifting herself, otherwise she would fall). The kitchen had no windows, so no natural light or fresh air. Other than that, the room was acceptable.

Nice hous with lots of apartments, we have room with toalet and shared kitchen. That about kitchen was nice because we dont expect it. Furniture is new and clean, the bedding was fragrant? we like it. The mattress and pillows were rather hard, but one night we survived. The door to the room is bad so all the sounds from the hallway can be heard, and since we share a hallway with more people it disturbs sleep a bit. More balconies are available and the ambiance is beautiful, the nature around you and the view of the sea are breathtaking. We recommend it, house is on nice position with parking and place Sobra is next to ferry port.

Ana and Ivo are amazing hosts and have created a perfect little hotel on the coast of Mljet. We stayed for two nights, and had breakfast and dinner once each. Rooms: Clean, tasteful, thoughtfully stocked with a full kitchen set, and overlooking a jaw-dropping view of the sea. Location: It's a little out of the way of the park, but with a rental car (highly recommended) we had no issue. We hit all the major sites on the island in two days with no issue, and we're happier to stay at a nicer hotel than one of the lower end hotels closer to the park. Food: Excellent. Ana is a very talented cook. Everything was fresh from the garden and sea, and they were totally accommodating of our dietary restrictions. I'm not sure how many courses breakfast would have been if we hadn't insisted to Ivo that we were full as he brought one after another. Dinner was perfectly cooked tuna and vegetables (requested specifically). The kitchen is extremely impressive, with a large wood burning oven, AND brick pizza oven, and multiple other convention ranges and ovens. Hospitality: Everyone was warm, welcoming, and gracious. Ana also helped us no-questions-asked in a tricky real car situation, and was more than happy to give us tips for how to best explore the Island. Overall, the location is remote but very charming, I would highly recommend the hotel to any friends or family.

Part of an amazing Mljet experience is thanks to Pansion Pomena. The owner, Grozdan is a very laid back and outgoing guy, and makes you feel welcome. The food at their restaurant is amazing, fresh and yummy. Location is perfect for exploring the national park, and also for short walks at night.
