Comfort at it's very best
Reviewed By Peter BWe spent 5 nights here, and could so easily have spent more. It is a modern building with high ceilings throughout. Being small, gives it a very friendly personal environment, and the high quality of the staff and services completes this. We stayed in an apartment which was large, spacious and luxurious throughout. It's far bigger than what many live in, in most of our big cities. The outside terrace provided a most tranquil view of the hills, township and rolling grape vines. There is a large Spa, sauna and children's playroom downstairs, whist in the foyer there is a friendly bar with lots of local wines and palinkas to savour. The included breakfast was fantastic, with fresh fruits, cereal, yoghurt, local meats and of course the full range of warm dishes with fresh crusty bed rolls. We loved our stay here, and it no doubt was a key highlight of our 6 weeks travelling across Europe.... and by far the very best accommodation and friendliest staff.

Reviewed By Adam2328Spacious, clean and modern rooms with a little local touch. There is no breakfast but there is a large communal kitchen equipped with everything necessary, including an espresso machine. Walking distance to restaurants and quite a few wineries in Mad.

Yours sweet BASE for sweet Tokaji wine tastings
Reviewed By BackPacker330474Demetervin owns a winery and a beautiful hotel at the same time. Everything is brand new and the rooms are well equipped and very modern. Don't look for movie channel or installed speakers, but do look for mini wine cellar installed in the room and spacious comfortable room with special vineyard designed bathroom doors.

Reviewed By nagytibiOld hotel building with rooms which were renovated maybe 20-25 years ago. The main light was not working in my room and in another room the air conditioning was wrong. Avoid the mansard rooms in the summer. The breakfast was better than the room. They advertise it as 3 stars superior but it is just an average 3 stars hotel with maintenance issues.

Lovely place with friendly staff
Reviewed By 761izabellagA beautiful small guesthouse with a lovely garden and terrace. Rooms with beautiful classic interior, clean and well-maintained, each with a practical kitchenette. Staff friendly and helpful. Make sure you ask for breakfast, the food is delicious and is mostly prepared by the staff and purchased from the local producers. The guesthouse has a dining room and a living room, both very convivial and can be used by the guests. The location is ideal to explore the Tokaj Hegyalja region in one-day trips.

Reviewed By SzilviaK31Egy éjszakát volt szerencsénk itt eltölteni, csodás környezetben. A vendéglátók udvariasak, kedvesek és segítőkészek. A szoba gyönyörűen berendezett, tiszta és kényelmes volt, a fürdőszoba tágas és praktikusan berendezett. Az ágynemű tiszta, illatos és ropogós. Az egyetlen negatív dolog az volt, h az ágy minden egyes mozdulatra nagyon nyikorgott. A szoba előtt tornácos folyosóra van lehetőség kiülni és szép környezetben beszélgetni. Reggel, ébredés után megnéztük a felújított zsinagógát, ami nem érdemes kihagyni, ha ott járunk.

No hospitality at all - motel character
Reviewed By BadHomburgTravellerWe stayed 4 nights at Barta Pince and found it very disappointing. Arriving at the property (Saturday 3p.m. - no unusual time) there was nobody there. The door was closed and it took us 40 Minutes and the help of our hungarian friends to find a small door which we could open to get into the property. (To be mentioned we also tried several phonenumbers but nobody answered the phone). At the property we found an open room with a post it with our name on it. That was the whole contact for four days. No welcome, no hello, no one answering the phone, Nobody was there. No one to clean a room or answer a question for the whole 4 days. The room was ok but compared to other beautiful places we found in Hungary nothing special. The bathroom was not really clean we did not find a garbage outside to put our stuff in; but the thing which was really disappointing was the non existing hospitality and service.
