Needing a good stay nearby a friend’s wedding in Lincolnshire, the Kings Head in Louth looked good on booking.com. So, with the location ticked off what I look for in good hotel is the key 3: a big comfortable bed; a good, hot shower; and a cracking breakfast. Big tick for all three at the Kings Head - one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages, the sort of shower that gets you ready for the day, and a fresh, delicious, full English breakfast that sorts you out. Pretty much ideal. Definitely one to return to.

Me and my two friends stayed in one of the lodges and it was lovely, very clean and well equipped! The balcony was great to sit out and relax! The pool and spa were within walking distance and we had a lovely meal at the restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming! The treatments were lush too! The only suggestion I have for improvement is to provide robes&slippers as we weren’t given any when using the pool, because we weren’t on a spa day but we did have treatments booked. It was a bit of a faf getting changed to go upstairs and one friend was pregnant so she needed slippers especially. I think all guests should be provided with them. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed it! Would highly recommend!

Avoid this hotel, lesson learnt check trip advisor first. The lady on the phone claimed there was an issue with the card machine and took 2 lots of card details which she said hadn’t worked the room was £85. In the end as she wasn’t very helpful I said I’d book elsewhere. Later that day she sent me an email to say she had cancelled my booking (Alltho she never made me a booking) I called her to ask why I had received this email and she said because I had now queried this with her she was charging my card and then used my details to take £50, she then continued to send me several very strange text messages with emojis saying I had frauded her, and that I was a bully and a fraud. I have reported her to the police and trading standards. She has since sent me a further message that due to me complaining she is now going to take another £75 from my card for the room. I have saved all correspondence with her and this has been escalated through my bank, police and trading standards and I have cancelled my cards. I honestly think the lady is mentally unstable and needs help.

We have recently returned from another fantastic break at Brackenborough Hall. This time we stayed in the granary and what a space to enjoy that is! Full of historic features and immaculately clean, it has an epic amount of space and comfortable furnishings. We could have stayed forever had we not had husbands and jobs ? See you again Paul and Flora and thanks again for a wonderful stay. Merry Christmas

Absolutely average stay. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated, although rather hot even in Easter. Staff are friendly, welcoming, although messed our food order up. Food was, merh, ok. Although the cutlery and tea cups were dirty on both mornings. To many impractical things just to be "Fancy". Had a kind of a feel where they acquired certain items because it looked nice rather than the practicability of it Again, not slating this place, it's OK. Just, try not to be something your not. Accept who you are, a converted pub.... average 10/10 for effort, clearly see they are trying but, not quite there. 5/10 for execution

The Black Horse Inn is an 18th century pub with rooms in the village of Donington on Bain, near Louth in the Lincolnshire Wolds, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. We offer a friendly welcome, exceptional food plus regularly changing real ales and wines. We are fortunate to have no less than nine micro-beweries in the local area, so Lincolnshire brewed ales and ciders are almost always available. My mate and I stayed here for a couple of nights when we were fishing in the area. Nice clean room, comfy bed and lots of hot water. The owners and staff were helpful and pleasant and the food was very good. Thoroughly enjoyed it - well done!

The Old Rectory at Stewton is an old country house set in 3 acres of mature trees and lawns. We specialise in offering a warm welcome, lovely rooms and excellent breakfasts. We have a wide choice of food on our menu, which can be seen on our web site. If you are on business, having a short break, exploring the Lincolnshire countryside, riding at Cadwell park - why not stay here?
As we pulled into the car park we were met by Alan the owner who showed us to our room. The room was extremely large with a very big comfortable bed and an en-suite shower room. There was also a separate area with sofa and chair, TV, and plenty of tea and coffee making facilities, also fresh filtered water. Off this area was a second en-suite with a bath. Breakfast was served in the dining room with a selection of fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt and juices, there is also a menu for cooked food. There is a large sitting room for guests to sit and relax. If you wish you can take a stroll around the grounds. The B&B is close to Louth, Cadwell Park and the East Coast. We would like to thank you both for a lovely stay in your beautiful home and when we are next at Cadwell Park we will be visiting you again.

The Packhorse is situated in Louth town centre in close proximity to all local amenities and attractions. We are a lively sports bar showing both Sky Sports and BT Sports. Most Fridays we have Karaoke night. The noise from the bar below can be heard in hotel rooms at weekends, although our superior double room is at the back of the building which offers a quieter night. We try to accommodate everyone so if you have any special requirements please do not hesitate to call and speak with the manager who will be happy to help. Pets are considered.
Been visiting louth for 15 years and only just found this pub. Why so long to find a nice drinks pub, friendly staff and mostly locals too. Great prices and good quality beer on tap and nice selection of drinks
