The third-largest city in Poland, Lodz's historical and global significance is largely due to the ghetto that was built there during World War II. Strolling the picturesque central streets will give you an appreciation for the strength of this city and its citizens. Explore the Muzeum Sztuki modern art museum, which houses one of the most important collections of modern art in Poland, or spend the day thrill-seeking at Lunapark amusement park.

PURO Łodz is the latest lifestyle hospitality experience from PURO Hotels, located in the historic district of Łodz. Just opposite Poznanski Palace, PURO in Łodz is a mere two-minute walk from Manufaktura, a shopping centre locted in the old factory building, a short walk to Piotrowska Street, one of the longest commercial thoroughfares in Europe, and a convenient drive from the new Central Train Station. The hotel in Łodz reflects the city’s fresh, creative vibe, with architecture by ASW and interiors by Superfutures. PURO is a bold, lively and colorful hotel that offers weary travelers a place to work, play and stay while in Łodz. Every corner of the hotel is packed with color, design and artwork.
First thing I’d say is that the staff are great. Super attentive and really great customer service. Short distance to everything you need to visit and see in Łódź. Food was excellent too. I found the rooms air con not quite powerful enough and you can hear the deep rumble of passing trams (but I’m a light sleeper). I will definitely use again and whilst I really rate the Andels (just opposite), I think the Puro offers better value for money.

Vienna House Andel’s Lodz is the first 4 star hotel in Lodz with 278 rooms and suites, perfect conference environment, superbly located on the grounds of the Manufaktura. andel’s Lodz will have its home seat in a former textile mill, carefully renovated under strict adherence to the guidelines of historic building preservation.
Once upon a time, this was an exemplar hotel, and by far the best in town, in particular in term of service. It has unfortunately sleeped away in the last 4 years, and what was the must stay at hotel, is now only the shadow of this massive former text mill, itself the glory of Lodz 100 years ago. Room are still larger by an standard, building is magnificent, but during my stay in mid May 2022, the once excellent ground floor restaurant was shut close, the tables at breakfast where taking ages to be cleaned, so you had to do it yourself if you wanted to seat without waiting 10mns (this is what it took them to clean the table next to mine), food is averagely good, the buffet still offers a high variety, quality is OK, not spectacular. The bed rooms are still massive by any standard, still fresh and clean 15 years after its opening, thr architecture goegeous, but service is a let down, when i came back to my room at 18h00 it wasn't cleaned since the morning, the same happened to me during my last stay there pre Corona outbreak. Luckily it wasn't midnight when I came back. Additionally, I discovered that they don't change linenes daily, but only every 2nd day, not what you can expcet in a 4*. This is a cheap trick to save 1$ on the cleaning cost, usually such hotels offer you the option they don't impose it on you like here. After complaining to the head of reception, this was the 2nd time it was happening, they sent a platter of cakes and latter called me to excuse themselves. This is appreciated and professional, but could be totally avoided, by ensuring that all rooms be cleaned during the day. If you make abstraction of the weak house keeping & breakfast service, it is a good hotel for 1 night if it is cheaper than Puro across the street, or the HI on Pietrokowska. The main pro in this one is the roof top pool and the huge room size, which can make it a great combination even for weekend stays, if you can forgive them all the service gaps. So Lodz has now probably better serviced 4 * hotels, just without a pool.

Stare Kino Cinema Residence is a very unique place not only on the map of Lodz, but also on the map of Poland. The theme of the hotel was not a matter of coincidence - it was inspired by the history of the building placed on 120 Piotrkowska Street. The first cinema in Poland was held here in the late XIXth century. Amazing interiors of Stare Kino Cinema Residence are inspired by the most famous films that were made in Lodz. Each apartment tells a separate story and takes you on a different film journey. The hotel offers an extraordinary atmosfere and beautiful design, we pay a lot of attention to details. The hotel is situated in the annex of a tenement house, so it is far from the noise of the Piotrkowska street. The parking space for our Guests' is available in front of the hotel, inside the gate.
the restaurant décor is unique, the food is great and very helpful staff. I booked the restaurant with a voucher to organize a surprize dinner for my friends, the hotel staff was extremely accommodating and everything was perfect.

Recognised as the best new hotel in Central Eastern Europe by Eurobuild CEE and 'the Best Building 2013' award from the Polish Association of Engineers and Building Technicians.
I very much enjoyed the food both at breakfast (buffet style), noticed that the offerings were better (more choices), when the occupancy rate went up, and lunch/dinner in the restaurant. When the hotel was nearly full, there was a crowd at almost all food stations and one had to wait a while.

Great ratio for the room. Regular attention from the employees. Restaurant very expenssive for an approximative cooking even if the card tease the appetite (had one lunch and 2 diners, cold plates, service very approximative and no attention from the employees paid to the customers).

The hotel is cheap and cheerful but has most things you need. The bed was really comfy and had the softest linen (although 2 very soft and thin pillows). The shower and sink were both huge and when the water worked, there was good pressure and heat. Unfortunately we had several issues: No handle on the shower door. The shower door wouldn't shut so water leaked onto floor (and we had to shower in the corner of the cubicle so as not to flood the floor further). We had to ask for toilet roll, it seemed like it was rationed! The soap wasn't filled up. We stayed for 2 weeks and the room wasn't vaccuumed for the first 7 days. The bar was shut. The bigger issues were the lack of heating and hot water/water pressure. The heating didn't work on the first day and after checking with reception, they gave us a heater to use (with a broken leg). On our 11th day, the manager told us that the heating was turned off at the moment and the air con was automatic. I'm not sure why we weren't told that on our first day when we'd tried to heat the room for 1.5hrs. Probably due to this and the lack of bathroom extraction, the room was very damp and our clothes smelled damp after 5 days. There was 1 shelf and 4 hangers so no way to air our clothes. The water issues were frequent to start with. Between approx 11.00-11.45 there was no hot water and then from 12.00 onwards, there was no pressure. One day, the water stopped at 10.30am. We called reception (from a mobile as they don't have phones in the rooms) and were told that no rooms had water and it was being fixed. I went to reception and the manager explained that a pipe had burst and it should be fixed within 15 minutes. It was fixed 45 minutes later and they notified me 1.5 hours after that. Luckily after that, there were no further issues with the water. We were offered a new room but it seemed too much hassle (and the rooms on the front and park-side of the hotel were noisy). We were given a partial refund during our stay for all the inconvenience. Despite the issues, I might stay again for a short stay in summer as it is good value, but I'd probably check everything worked before unpacking. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for longer stays.

Personally I think this place looks good on the pictures and terrible in real life. There is lack of maintenance and literally looks grabby. Rooms are so bad and just poor quality. We stayed in an "apartment" which was so bad I felt cheated on money that I had to pay for this room! No lift, noisy flooring and you can hear any noise around. I wonder how this is accommodated to disabled people or someone with pram? On the positive note the staff are friendly which really helps.

We have never experienced such bad service from an individual in hospitality. The receptionist (possibly manager?) is the rudest person I have met. Plenty of other hotels in the vicinity to chose from.
