Situated in one of the oldest streets in Llangollen and a few seconds from the high street, Gales has 16 en-suite bedrooms. All our rooms are individually decorated and sympathetically restored in keeping with the historic character of the buildings. Eight of the rooms are above the Wine Bar in a Georgian townhouse, with many original features. The remaining rooms are in a much older timber framed building across the driveway. These rooms have exposed beams, wattle and daub walls and all have original features. All our rooms are available as double or single occupancy, many can be used for twin or family occupancy. All our rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hair-dryers, direct dial telephones, widescreen televisions and wifi access. Continental breakfast is included with your stay but cooked options are available.
Fabulous stay at the Gales - we were made so welcome and looked after by Rob. The wine garden was fantastic as was the food. The belly pork with cassoulet is highly recommended. The DJ played our type of music (for the oldies). A great place to celebrate with family.

Myself and bridal party stayed the night before our wedding. Check in 3 check out strict 10am - which is the only downside when your in middle of wedding make up haha The place is so easy to find - across the road from the gem that is Three Eagles deffo eat there! Parking 1 minute walk away in the hand hotel Beautiful place with such character . Every room is lovely and has its own big shower and bath in 2/3. The two doubles are especially wow!! This place has everything you need from tea/coffee & condiments to bubble bath and straighteners ! The log fire is amazing so relaxing and homely. Beds clean and cosy. Heating lovely and warm. Shame the jacuzzi bath in main suite doesn’t have jets now as that would have been lush. But brand new modern shower. I would love to come back as a group of couples or a big family. Especially in the winter nice and cosy!

Walked into a smelly extremely hot foyer , the bar was shut so served through a tiny hole in a screened front bar , the lady serving was quite rude and very slow , gid help them if they ever get busy but from the reviews on here it’s extremely unlikely , the bitter was cloudy and so was chucked . Sat outside on the kids park and they proceeded to cut the grass around where we were sitting , horrible place

Visited over the Easter weekend. We had a very comfortable stay. Family room very clean and well equipped. Plentiful supply of tea coffee water etc. replenished at request. Good quality toiletries. The view from our room was great. The river, the railway and main street all visible. Lovely to watch the barge horses walking down to work in the mornings! Smashing very friendly staff team, and the breakfasts are superb. Would thoroughly recommend if planning a hotel break in Llangollen/

I stayed here for 3 nights in early November. Don't let the word Hostel put you off. Yes, it isn't a luxury hotel, but it isn't luxury hotel prices either. The staff are lovely and so helpful and chatty. Everything is clean and there is all you need for a comfortable and cosy base. The parking is convenient and cheap for the location. Llangollen is beautiful and this is a great place to stay when you visit. We didn't have time to make use of the lounge, but it looked really comfy and cosy. We had a room each, with comfortable beds and tea/coffee makings. Nice views too. Would definitely stay again!!!

Cambrian is a lovely B&B. The host, Cath, is very friendly and happy to give advice/guidance on the best way to get around the local attractions and restaurants. She was so helpful, from guiding us into our designated parking space on arrival to a cheery goodbye - nothing was a trouble. The breakfast is top-notch with lots of choice all served up by Cath and her friendly staff. To assist in Covid control, they are currently running a 'do not disturb' system on rooms - the staff won't enter rooms during your stay unless you specifically ask them to. I expect this may give reassurance to anyone with remaining Covid anxiety. Room was comfortable and the shower good and powerful with plenty of hot water. All in all, 10/10 - wouldn't hesitate to rebook if staying in the area.
