Reviewed By TravelmaintThis was our first visit to this Best Western, which is a nice, newer, spacious hotel. When we booked it, we did not realize that it was pet friendly (so we probably wouldn't have stayed here). We were told upon check-in that breakfast was at 6:30 (most places are at 6:00), so we delayed our departure for a bit later than usual. Turns-out breakfast is at 7:00 on weekends (no sign stating this). We ended-up leaving so we could get on the road, but just be aware of the times.

Reviewed By business-trip19It is downtown of the city so you would expect to get smaller room/bathroom etc., payed parking and so forth. I usually skip staying in Hyatt family of hotels. I am sure next time I get my room somewhere else. The hotel is outdated in all respects and the free breakfast is not what you expect. Very cheap.

Reviewed By Wanderer38N90WGreat location that was a quick five-minute drive to downtown. Stayed here several nights. Staff was always friendly and willing to assist and answer any questions. Beds were comfortable but other furniture showed age. We were here to sleep so it worked fine. Rooms had plenty of space for two people. Breakfast bar was good and well stocked on the two mornings we ate breakfast. Much better value than downtown locations considering ease to get to a downtown that had plenty of street parking available while we were there. There were two grocery stores in walking distance and plenty of places to eat with 1/2 mile as well.

Reviewed By efeatherWe stayed one night when they had a 30 hour for $30.00 sale. I wouldn't probably have wanted to pay much more for the place. It is an older hotel that has been updated with eclectic, retro decor. The bathroom is tiny and has low ceilings. The beds are okay. The chair that was in the room was very uncomfortable and not all of the electrical outlets worked. The TV was also glitchy and an older TV. The hotel lists that it has a pool, but the website or information at check in did not say that it was closed. When we went to check it out my kids said it looked like a crime scene. When we tried to take the elevator to leave that floor it went up 2.5 stories then had a big lurch and went all the way to the basement. Older hotel, older elevators...pretty scary. Also the parking garage that is attached is really really really narrow, especially for today's bigger vehicles. The parking garage was really grungy, trash cans were overflowing with trash etc. I would not want to pay full price for this place. They feel they can charge a lot due to their location in the Haymarket.

Reviewed By Chris TThis was my worst IHG experience to date. I am now convinced that all of the standard Holiday Inn hotels are a horrible choice and a disgrace to the IHG brand. Lazy, ignorant, lying and mouthy… That explains their staff to a T! The staff is a bunch of children, hanging out playing on their phones and talking to each other while you stand and wait on them. Earlier this week, I looked for a phone in my room to call for a late check out and there wasn’t one. In what world does a hotel room not have a phone? So I walk from the 4th floor to the sorry excuse of a lobby and a horrible joke for a front desk. I tell this snot nosed girl that I would like a late check out (please note that I had the room booked for an additional day), she looks at the room and says, “sorry, but you can’t have one”. As a Spire member for as long as I can remember, I said excuse me but I’m a Spire member and I’m guaranteed a late check out (depending on availability). She then replied with additional lies by saying, “we’re at full occupancy and we cannot allow a late check out”. When you’ve you’ve been traveling for 20 years, you know that 15 cars in the parking lot at night and not seeing a single other person means she was lying, so I called her on it. Guess who was right? She then decided to tell me that they were not in fact full and she would give me an extra 30 min! I had the damn room booked for another day to begin with, then she lied and then she would “allow” me 30 extra minutes!!! WOW and this was just one instance of this horrible hotel stay. I told her she could keep her 30 min, packed up my things and left. I’ll never stay at this location again and I have a new customer down the road. Holiday Inn hotels are a joke to the IHG brand. Shame on you IHG…

Reviewed By Lennae GI guess I thought Radisson meant a type of quality. There was no quality here. The sidewalks were all broken up. The elevator doors were covered with obscene graffiti. My room had not been cleaned thoroughly prior to my stay. The sink drained slowly, making a grimy mess. Breakfast didn’t start until 7, so I didn’t even get fuel before getting back on the road. I will not book again.

Reviewed By 2StonesNoMossStayed here for a business trip. It is okay. Front desk staff were very friendly and even checked me in early. The rooms are satisfactory though appear dated. There is also an unsavory smell piped into the lobby area that smells like very strong cologne. Nice little convenience area by the front desk with decent grab and go sandwiches, fresh fruit, drinks, and snack. There is a restaurant (so you can’t sit at any tables to eat any outside food) yet I didn’t see a menu and cannot find any information on what the restaurant offers. There is also a bar if that’s for you which looked nice. Given the other hotels in the area I’m not sure I’d stay here again.
