With the bluest of blue water and the greenest of green surrounding forest, Lake Tahoe, quite simply, transfixes. From the early Indians to authors such as Mark Twain, folks have tried to capture the beauty and mystique of the lake with nicknames like "Big Blue" and "Grasshopper Soup." Others maintain that it's impossible to describe the magnificence in words. At 6,225 feet above sea level, Tahoe is the highest alpine lake in the United States and has long attracted vacationers from around the world. In the summer, hiking, windsurfing, golfing, fishing and swimming (usually in wet suits due to the lake's brisk year-round temperature) are all the rage. The winter season, which actually starts around Thanksgiving, brings throngs of skiers to area resorts. Located between California and Nevada, different sides of the lake tend to attract different types of visitors. The California side draws families and outdoor enthusiasts while the Nevada side beckons those looking for big name entertainment and casinos. No matter which side you choose, a getaway to stunning Lake Tahoe will not soon be forgotten.

Hyatt Lake Tahoe is the perfect destination for any season! Such a great Hotel! Location is amazing and staff was very friendly. Stayed in the cottages by water and surpassed any expectations. Would definitely stay here again. One small thing would be to have more food options for onsite.

Stayed 3 nights. Did pay for an upgraded room in the Tahoe Tower. 6th floor, faced the parking garage with a partial lake view (bonus!). The room was great (the pillows are very thin so you may want to bring your own (personal preference). The bathrooms in the new rooms are one of the nicest of any hotel I’ve stayed in. Rooms are quiet, clean, and the AC works well. No turn down service. Would recommend breakfast in the river cafe (Mexican tacos). The poker room at Harvey’s was a lot of fun. Friendly staff/players. Comfortable. Tahoe is a beautiful place. Would definitely stay at Harvey’s again. My only complaint is self parking is $20 per day. However, if you come and go frequently it really adds up. For example, over 4 hours is $20, so if come and go a lot you can pay that fee multiple times in one day which I feel is excessive

Located in beautiful Lake Tahoe, MontBleu features over 430 rooms, distinctive restaurants, freshnighlife venues, and a 45,000 square-foot casino and spa
Sadly this property hasn't come back to the point it which it's reasonable value . No valet parking , no room service no housekeeping yet they are still charging top dollar for premium rooms . Our suite is large but but tv has no premium channels and frankly the room isn't very clean .The view is nice and the beds are comfortable but again everything else is lacking . Covid has been tough here and I'm sure the elevation hasn't helped but you can't charge 6-9 hundred a night and not even provide a glass to drink from .Sorry Ballys I know you can do better !

Our family has been a timeshare owner at this property (previously known as the Tahoe Ridge Resort) for over 20 years. We have spent multiple occasions on the property and have always enjoyed our stay without any complaints. We recently booked time for a week in April. Prior to our visit, we were contacted to confirm our reservation and asked if there were any needs we might have prior to the stay. We indicated we had a toddler and that it should be taken into consideration into the unit we were placed in (after we were told there was no crib or Pack and Play availability). We received another call a few days later to once again confirm our stay and then for a 3rd time were called on the drive up (about 30 minutes after check-in time) to confirm our intention of staying (to be fair - snow was imminent). Three calls. We confirmed all the same details on 3 separate occasions and relayed our needs, so we assumed all would be well when we arrived. On arrival, we were assigned to the Cascade Building. We had previously stayed here and had a level of expectation on what we would find. We had booked a 2-bedroom suite. This was known prior to arrival (and again confirmed 3 times by the staff at the Ridge). When we got to our room, the connecting doors between the two rooms were locked. We had to call the front desk to get this sorted and it took about 20 minutes to get this done. This was after confirming 3 times we were staying in a 2-Bedroom Suite AND at check-in confirming this was the case. Other items we found on arrival (in no particular order): Musty Smell: Air was stale on arrival; we gathered unit had not been used in awhile. This is quite disconcerting especially since we are still in the midst of COVID concerns. How sanitized are they really? Sneezing was rampant which questions the level of dust in the air; especially so when we turned up the heat. Carpet: There are signs of fraying carpet in every room; in the main living room area there is a distinct line where the carpets used to meet but obviously over time have come apart. Couch Cushion: Living room couch has a rip in the cushion; we can see the stuffing through the hole on the left hand side. Table Lamp: The right side table lamp could not be turned on; on inspection we noted that it used to have a turn switch but the lamp no longer has it and you can't manually turn the piece protruding where the switch used to be. The lamp is still plugged in like you can use it. You can't. Dim Lighting: Due to the lack of extra light; at night the living room is quite dark and dim - see note about lamp above Fireplace: It doesn't work; does not turn on - it's snowing outside and it is going to be high of 30 - and note our heat issue (one of the rooms had no heat because of a faulty thermostat) Kitchen: Incomplete kitchen utensils. 2 knives in the kitchen block have broken tips. When we informed the front desk they said they would replace whole block; they sent us steak knives. Vegetable peeler was dull and dis not work. Coffee: We were told prior to arrival that Ridge no longer provided coffee (call 1). On a 2nd call, we were told this was incorrect there could be coffee, but no filters. This was reiterated on call 3. We brought coffee filters. We opened the packet of coffee that the staff left in kitchen. Coffee was packaged in a filter. Rendering the filters we were told to bring unnecessary. It was obvious staff had no idea - this really should be communicated better. Toilet Paper: Toilet paper not on dispensers at arrival; we had to search under cabinets for rolls to place on said dispensers. Was this room checked prior to arrival? Cleaned? Heat: One of the bedrooms was significantly colder than the rest of the unit. We turned "on" the heater in that bedroom and temperature gage stayed the same. It felt like a draft was in the room. We alerted front desk - they sent someone to fix it - the fix didn't quite work. The control box was set to 80-85 and made noise but it still did not produce heat. Beds: When we lifted sheets; static light appeared in the dark - noting that either sheets or bed had levels of some dust and or have not been checked in awhile. I ask again - How long ago was this room cleaned? Checked? Maintenance/Guest Services Line: We called and it would just ring - nobody ever answered, no machine. We called the Front Desk every time we had an issue (see above for list). We get someone on every other call. "IT Line": We had issues with Internet on arrival; We called front desk and were given an "1-866" number to call to get resolved. When we called number is "disconnected" - called front desk to inform them of this they apologized for line not working but could not help us on internet issue (that is the only number that they have). No En-Suite Laundry: On previous stays (in other buildings) we had one in-suite. We were told by front desk that this was not the case in the Cascade building and that there was 1 on just the 4th floor. When we conveyed that since we had a toddler and would have to do multiple loads of laundry and could we get another room in a building with in-suite facilities - were suddenly told "there are laundry units on EVERY floor in the Cascade Building" by someone else (when the issue was escalated). Main Bedroom Stopper: We found the door stopper (the spring that keeps the door from slamming into the wall when opened fully) off the door and on the floor. It looked like it had been super glued on (at one point previously screwed but screw no longer in place)? Window Drapes: The rods holding the drapes in place are protruding out of the fabric. Needless to say we are quite disappointed in our room and the facilities at The Ridge during this stay. We stayed prior to the pandemic about 3 years ago and our experience was quite different. I don't know what has happened to the level of accommodations (it used to be a 5 star resort and it is obvious that this is no longer the case) here. It's an insult to owners of the timeshares that there was an increase in Owner Fees but that the level of accommodations has declined. The state of the resort speaks volumes. One would have ascertained that paying more would get us more - but this is not the case.

No soap. No washcloths. No heat. No coffee. After two requests we still didny receive the basic supplies. No housekeeping or service. Dining was estimated at a 45-minute wait with more than half of the tables empty. On hold for 20 minutes waiting to make a request for service which never happened. Will never stay at another Hard Rock again. The stories from all the other guests were just as horrible. We will all leave our comments and experience on social media.

Who knew? This little place was cute, clean, no smoking, no pets, friendly. A motel, yes, but very cute and quite comfortable. Comfy beds, designer touches, a good desk area, Kureg coffee, and spotless. The staff was very helpful with reservations. I will most definitely be staying here again!

First I want to thank Sam and his Entire Team for making our stays (one of our favorite places) always exceptional -- from working to get us into a room early with spectacular views; to ensuring the rooms are in great shape and meet all our needs. Location is amazing from morning walks around the lake; to the grounds always peaceful with facilities (Safeway, Restaurants) less than a 5-min drive; and if you are into Casinos then 10-min you have your choice of 4 to begin your investment/withdrawal battles. Highly encourage you to work with the resort staff to see about the possibilities of selecting a room (we like Bldg. 9 rooms) with a great view of the trees and hillside. We love the pace and beauty of Lake Tahoe -- the resort and the staff always add a positive spin onto our experience.
