Krimml is an amazing place with many great hiking options (not a chance you get bored) situated exactly at the Waterfall (easy walking distance from anywhere in this charming little village). At the hotel, the staff are all very nice, friendly and ready to assist. The room was facing the waterfall (we could see it from the bed?), very clean, wooden floors, big bathroom, minibar, safe, no kettle unfortunately (but i didn't ask for one either). We booked directly with the hotel and got halfboard. The food was good. Breakfast us ok with many varieties both warm and cold, prosecco and excellent coffee. Dinner was also good, they have a salad buffet with some cold cuts, soup, main course (you choose in the morning from 2-3options) and dessert. The hotel is pet friendly. I am not exactly keen on a barking concert over dinner, but as an animal lover myself, it was ok. The smaller the dog the louder they are ? They have a sauna and a nice natural pool. Over all, we enjoyed out stay and will go again.

Most friendly people ever and fantastic food
Reviewed By 659bobkI stayed her 5 night with my son for a skiing holiday and we both think that this is a great place to stay. Diner is fantastic, room are quite good and comfortable. They have a shuttle service so you can be dropped off at the ski bus stop; they’re always ready for you to bring or pick you up whenever you want. The staff is also most friendly and always willing to help or serve you. We are going to miss them & the hotel!

Superb stay at Hotel Post in Krimml
Reviewed By franr491We had a wonderful stay at the Post Hotel in Krimml. We arrived in mid October in Krimml from Zell am See without a place to stay. We checked at the information centre and they were very helpful in finding us accommdation. The tourist bureau called a number of places for us and the Post was the only one to call back and offer us a room. We arrived on their day off. We walked up and Herr Steger met us with a glass of wine. We intended on staying for 1 or 2 nights, but stayed 6 instead. The location of the hotel is great. The Spar is across the road, several restaurants close by and we easily walked to the Krimml Waterfalls. Our room was luxurious with such a comfortable bed. The Sauna was a room away and it is a lovely facility offering a resting room, two saunas, showers etc. We used the housecoats and slippers the hotel offered to get there. The staff did our laundry for us. Herr Steger, his wife, daughter, cleaning staff and the waitress staff were very friendly and helpful. Herr Steger went over and beyond for us. We had no vehicle, so he drove us one morning to a location up the mountain so that we could start our hike. He found us a hotel to stay in, in another community, when we left there. What a friendly man. In my opinion, he, his wife and daughter really make the place. Their motto is all about friendly and helpful service to the customer. We come from Canada. If we ever return, we will be back. Congratulations to the Stegers on their well run Hotel!!

Spacious room with all windows and glass door leading out to the balcony, with an awe-inspiring mountain and waterfall view. Dinner and Breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Katharina, thank you very much for sending the National Park Sommercard in advance. We were able to enjoy the benefits of this card prior to arriving at the Alpengasthof Filzstein, you really went above and beyond. We also enjoyed the 3 sheep grazing in the yard. Reviewed By _ukaszm131It was a pleasure to stay at that hotel. Fantastic service, very good contact with the staff and excellent food. I've spent there one week together with my familly. The hotel is quite new which is vissible, especially the rooms are looking fresh and nice. As I mention the food is on the excellent level. There's nothing more You need after whole days spent on the slope then the delicious dinner served in the hotel. Everyday fresh and filling menu. Special thanks to Mrs Simone and Mrs Kamila :))) The ski room is located very close to the bus station, You have just to move one step trough the door and Tou are on the bus stop. I really recomend the jacuzzi on the roof ! Amazing wiev when You are laying in the hot water and looking trough the snow for the mountains :) We are looking forward to visit this hotel early next year, I think that is the best recomandation !!!

Reviewed By Thomas CPerfect hotel to fully enjoy your ski-holiday! Great restaurant, great people, the rooms are conforable and the Sauna, the hotpot and the luge-evening are an highlight! 10 minutes away from the ski-area by car. Great value for money. Can't wait to return!

Sehr nette Gastgeber, welche auch Tipps zu Ausflügen und Gaststätten geben. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wenn wir wieder in Krimml sind, werden wir wieder dort absteigen.
