Kingston upon Thames is a charming riverside suburb just 25 minutes from central London by train, complete with quaint, leafy streets and a rather regal atmosphere. Our smart Kingston upon Thames hotel is in the centre of town, just a 5 minute walk from Kingston train station. Sample local culture at one of the bustling markets nearby, or wander a few minutes over to Old London Road to see the iconic Falling Over Telephone Boxes art installation. If greenery and stunning vistas are your thing, head to nearby Richmond Park or the world-renowned Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew for the day, before returning for a tasty meal in our on-site restaurant. You'll feel right at home on one of our new generation bedrooms, featuring an impressive 40" flat screen tv, bright, modern, bathroom with a large shower head, and brand new, slumber inducing, king-size Hypnos bed.
Was a great place to stay, very clean and tidy, with helpful and friendly staff. Has car park with reduced tariff for guests. Breakfast was handy in the restaurant with cooked or continental option, all very good and nothing too much trouble. Quite long corridors and lift to rooms. Hotel is in a great location for days out.

We stayed for 5 nights (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 June) and 2 of the days and nights where totally unbearable as we were put in room number 210, which is right next to the gym. Whenever there was someone in the gym lifting weights it sounded like they where in the room when they banged them to put them down. It was unbearable as there were numerous sessions early in the morning or evening. On top of that I booked a room with a balcony and paid more for it only for it to be locked with a device so we could only open the door slightly. We didn’t complain after the second time we mentioned the above, we just won’t go back.

Stayed two nights for the Epsom Derby and jubilee weekend celebrations. Free parking was very good and was located close to public transport. We got the bus to Putney Bridge and District Line to Westminster. Carpet in room was very tired. Chair in room at desk was ripped. Floor in bathroom was dirty. Security was a bit of an issue as the door to the car park was on the second floor and the door to it was always unlocked which meant anyone could walk in. There were key card locks on the doors to get down the corridors to rooms but these were not working so again anyone could just walk down the corridors without even needing to go through reception. We stayed on the third floor and the corridor carpets again were tired and dirty. We arrived back both nights and mornings with rubbish piled outside of other guest rooms and food just thrown on the floor. We were going to take up the offer of breakfast when we checked in but they didn’t offer it to us so we got an uber into Epsom to the Wetherspoons instead! It was the cheapest hotel in the area for the time but still at £82.50 per night was not up to standard at all. We thought it wouldn’t be as bad as the reviews and with it being a Travelodge we thought there’d be some standard but we were wrong. At the end of our stay, when we left the room and going to check out we opened the room door to be greeted by two police officers banging on another guests door. Would not stay here again.

Booked for the Epsom Derby and was a brilliant choice. Can't fault any part of the stay. Free parking, great location, comfy bed and lovely rooms. Food was excellent and the bar was lively at night. The place was perfect for what we needed. We were the furthest away from the bar and you could still hear the music slightly, but that's what earplugs are for! I probably wouldn't book it on a Saturday if we were planning on a quiet night away, but we still enjoy the party so no problems for us. Just be aware that if you are less inclined to stay out passed 11pm, it may not be the right place for you.

They didnt have much of the food on the menu including main ingredients to meals. Yet this was not explained at the time of ordering and they still wanted to charge full price for the meal. Then when asked if I could have milk for my cereal they presented me with the small milk cartons .

First time back here in a couple of years. Not because of the pandemic but rather we had 2 bad visits in a row so decided to bin it. Last night it suited for a bite on the way into town for a show. In no particular order. The menu is quite compact. Guinness wasn't great. The plant burger went down well, whilst the beef burger was very average. Both looked a bit basic for the price. Our previous visits were marred by shockingly bad service. Service this time was good although the place was almost empty but a friendly smile was appreciated. We probably will give it another go over the summer.

Right from the start Irina on the desk was very welcoming and helpful. She really brightened my day. Very much exceeding expectations! Otherwise the hotel and room marched the price tag. No complaints considering the budget price.

Three years ago at its previous incarnation (2019) I booked a room for a birthday party. Saw the room and paid a deposit. Then came Covid and in January 2022 I rang the hotel, said that they still had my deposit and I wanted to book the party for May 2022. In March I rang and asked to see the room again and was told it wasn't possible. Then, I got a phone call saying that we could not have the party there at all and my booking and room bookings had been moved to another hotel and did I mind?? Yes, I did mind very much. I had a signed Contract for the do with costings etc. Got in touch with other hotel, price had increased exponentially although I had the Contract. Was told it couldn't be fulfilled as the hotel had changed Hands. Except that it hadn't - still owned by the same people, just refurbished. Rang Citizens Advice and was told my Contract should be fulfilled and to write and ask if the hotel has a disputes' procedure. never got a reply. Rang IHG and an American told me that I had to ring an 800 number - I said but that's in the US and the hotel is in the UK.After around 7 minutes she cut me off. The new hotel told me that they had invited me to change the booking!!!! (No) Then I asked that IF I could find somewhere else would I get my deposit back? Was told yes. To cut a very long story short - did manage to find an alternative, cheaper, more hospitable venue, cancelled the 'new' hotel and got the deposit back 2-3 weeks' later. Except that they never informed us, just saw it on the Bank Account! I used to work in Customer Service and the rating for this total fiasco would rate in minus figures had I had to rate it. A very unpleasant, annoying and upsetting experience,

A vibrant touchstone for professionals, travellers and vacationers. A chance to unwind and relax in one of our brand new spacious rooms. Enjoy a fine dining experience at our restaurant with executive head chef Marco Palazzo.
This is a small hotel offering basic rooms (but all you need). Rooms are comfy and clean. Towels, shampoo etc. is provided and staff are very friendly and attentive. If you are staying for one or two nights this is perfect also in regards to the price. Will go again when on Business travels.
