Beautiful Bungalow Resort right at the Hinboun River with access to private clear Springwater Stream for swimming. Location only 1 Km distance to famous Kong Lor Cave. Near the resort are other huge caves that are considered to be among the biggest in the world. Great food! Campfire! Drinks! Breathtaking location with spectacular view over Karst mountains & river!
A truly magical place tucked away in nature, but with all the luxuries of the western world. Excellent food, large portions and a very fair price considering the remote location (88km to the market). Lao staff are extremely well trained, professional and very accommodating (very very rare in Laos). Rooms are very clean and are maintained to a high standard (all rooms come with a sublime view as standard). A large range of activities and information is offered on site. An outstanding example if what can be achieved in Laos with a little vision, investment and hard work. If you visit Laos, DO NOT MISS OUT! Make a journey to Spring River Resort.

Stayed here in Thakhek city for 2 nights on a family vacation. The hotel is beautifully located on the riverside right in the center of town. There's a covered parking area under the hotel however it's small and tend to be full when the hotel has a few guests. The rooms are reasonable though the room we received was very small. Some of the river facing rooms looked larger with nicer views. However, unfortunately, this was not in our case. Rooms felt clean and bed comfortable however the pillows were terribly soft. The room in general is what you would expect for a ~$30 USD a night hotel - nothing fancy but will do the trick for a few nights. I should also mention that there's no kettle or tea making facilities in room which is annoying for me as an early riser. The hotel breakfast is on the thin side however and instant coffee is the norm - rather disappointing. Though this could be due to the fact the tourism has plummeted since COVID. I suspected that pre COVID, a buffet may have been on offer. Overall, a solid stay at a reasonable price.

Naga Hostel & Cafe is set in Thakhek, just 1 minutes' walk from the Kong River and Night Market. A highlight of the area is the Third Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge, just 10 km from the hostel. Nang Cave is 19 km away.
Bin and his wife are such a beautiful people, really helpfull and generous. They invite us two time to eat a vietnamese dinner because we were the only hosts during the Covid time. The guesthouse is super clean, dormitory and bed really nice, I recommend 100% !!!!! And ... sorry for the fan... see you the next time when we come back to Laos, we will definitly come back here! Love

Located not far from the entrance to Khong Lor caves. Owners cook dinner/breakfast for you, and you can look into the kitchen. Dinner was very nice, you can choose between a lot of dishes. Breakfast is served on the table, very homy. Room is average, with shower just above the toilet (only downside). Don't forget to put the boiler on.

Ban Nahin (on the edge of town near Inthapaya guest house), checkout: 10 am. Quality room with attached bathroom in a secluded setting, Double rooms including television, air-conditioning, fan, private bathroom with hot water and comfortable beds. Ideal for couples or those looking for a comfortable mattress after a long day.
During the Thakhek Loop we stayed here for one night and enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The food was extremely delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. So even if you just take a break there for food, it’s definitely worth it.

Lovely renovated colonial building hotel located in the very centre of Thakhek and a 1 minute walk to the Mekong river. This confortable hotel designed with a contemporary feel, houses a fantastic open area kitchen that is very popular with the locals and tourists alike.
Great place to stay in the centre of Thakhek. Beautiful decorated and restored colonial style building and just a stone throw away from the mighty Mekong. We stayed in the suite and it was well worth the money. Large rooms, huge showers and a enormous balcony overlooking the busy street below. Good choice of food options around from riverside restaurant to local no fuss noodle shops - all within walking distance of the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Only downside being in the centre of town is the street noise and unfortunately the windows can't block out. Definitely not for light sleepers.

There are motor bikes for rent; we have two boats with motor for traveling along Namhai and Namhinboun River.
I spent three nights at this beautiful resort last August-2019-and I can recommend it most highly.I arrived at the village of Ban Na Hin from Tha Khaek and was met by a driver from the resort and taken there. The resort itself is in a beautiful, relaxing location by the Hai river-Nam Hai-and is the perfect place to spend a few quiet days. The room I was given was super clean and inviting and sleep quality was excellent. The room was serviced daily.Meals were available in the dining area and were freshly prepared and very good value.I want to pay tribute to the staff at the resort who made me feel very welcome-Mr Vontsanay, his wife Thipphaphone and their lovely daughter.I felt very much at home at this resort and at only 150,000 Kip per night-breakfast included-it was great value. It was the ideal base from which to visit the cave Tham Kong Lor and the waterfall Tat Namsanam...This place is worth a return visit and I am happy to give it 10 out of 10.

The Konglor Eco-Lodge is a perfect place to stay on a trip to the Konglor Caves. Each bungalow is equipped with a large, comfortable double bed or twin single beds. You can even get a 'family room'. The beds was clean, comfortable and equipped with a large mosquito net. There is a fan for the hotter months. The bathroom was clean with a hot shower.

Nakai Resort is located in a strategic point of the Thakhek Loop, 78 km from Thakhek, surrounded by pristine nature and just next to a beautiful Nam Theun lake. The resort is family owned, and the staff is always ready to welcome you and make you feel like home. The place offers 21 rooms from superior suite to budget dormitory room as well as a camping area with tents. There is a meeting room, a spacious outdoor dining room and free WiFi. All rooms have A/C, TV and free drinking water. The reception desk is open 24/7 and free parking is provided. The Restaurant offers tasty and healthy dishes, freshly prepared. The menu is simple but creative, with many ingredients coming from regional suppliers. You can choose typical local dishes, or Thai and western cuisine including vegeterian dishes. Nakai Resort is a peaceful place for relax. But it's also the ideal place for a party on the lake and for every business occasion. It's also possible to organize weddings and special events.
the bungalows have nice large rooms in a good setting but they are in need of maintenance and of bringing to western standards the wifi was not working as the router was turned off tried to explain to staff but they didn't understand good stay at a cheap price
