Price is reasonable. + Beautiful location for nature lovers + River view + Barbecue place + Separate shower (Note: other cottages N and S series, share common shower, which is not good for family) + Dedicated Boat for use. - Old cottage - Kitchen was not good, but manageable - Little far from the town, in case of any immediate needs like Milk, after reception is closed. - Internet not included for F series cottages. Prepare to pay extra money to get wifi router. - Shower water is TOO HOT, be extra careful, when kids are around.

We spent our two day visit here. Clean rooms, nice staff. The beds were very bad, the spa made up for it. Good spa, clean and cute! Good for family’s with older children/couples/elderly. The breakfast was also good but nothing exceptional. Location wise it’s a bit off, but good if your by car. There’s a big supermarket in walking distance if you need anything. Price wise it’s fair.

With its nine hundred hectares, Eriksberg is one of Northern Europe’s biggest game reserves and enclosed nature reserve. A place where magnificent red and fallow deer, European bison, wild boar and mouflon sheep roam freely. During the last few years, Eriksberg has developed to become a modern conference facility with a first class hotel and restaurants, with front row seats for the drama created by nature. Among other things, visitors can during the summer go on safari and see the wild animals in their natural habitat and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Eriksberg also has one of the world’s largest stocks of red water lilies. There is an extensive programme of experiences, which is being constantly developed.
We stayed at the synvilla out in the park. It was recommented to us by the staff for the best experience of the animals Its a very beautiful place and the synvilla is the most beautiful "cabin" you could wish for. a large bed, a living room with a window in the floor so you can se the animals below the cabin. a small kitchen with a gas burner to heat water for coffee or tea and perhaps food?. Also a refrigiator. A compost toilet, no running water, but 2 small water"tanks". So a little primitive. We knew this and for 1 or 2 nights its ok. You could take a shower at the village (near the reception, restaurants and the rest of the hotel facilities). But we wanted to be near the animals not other people, so this was the ideal cabin for us. You get 2 large cans of corns to attract the animals and a green light is on when animals are under the house and is moving. So you can se them, also at night. We saw a family or wild boars under the house through the window in the floor. great experience to sit in a heatet room and look down on the wild life. We also saw a large flock of deers. In the morning we saw a sea eagle, diffent ducks, a lot of Nuthatch and the view over the lake/ocean was just magnificent. You could sit for hours on the balcony and just enjoy looking at the wild life and nature. We are coming back, to stay at the synvilla. No doubt. Maybe in the spring. The park is also a safaripark where you can drive around in your own car in the summer and se the park. But after 18 its closed but if you stay there you can enjoy the park in the evening and morning. What a great place

We spent 3 nights onTjärö. I'll break my review down into sections for you: The Island: Fantastic island with no cars that is close to the mainland, only 15 mins by a passenger ferry. We visited in one of the peek weeks in July and it does get busy in the day because people know they can eat at the restaurant for lunch and then go back maybe after a swim or walk. There are lots of berths for boats too which encourages people to visit. For me the island comes into its own after the day-trippers return. You can walk and find a place to swim or just sit and contemplate. There are a few easy access swimming spots or if you take some swim feet you can pretty much go in wherever you want. They can hire out SUPs, canoes and kayaks. If you want to canoe around the island it'll take you a couple of hours. STF Hotel: We stayed in the hotel section of the STF. Very clean but basic. Quite pricey for what it was I must say. We stayed in room 50 on the first night. The staff have a quarters over the room and they come back at about midnight / 1am after their shift and are up again early in the morning. It's an old building so the floorboards creak so much that you're woken up. I must say that the person on the front desk was superb. She listened and took our concerns on board so for the rest of our stay we moved to room 57 which was much quieter. Breakfast: Lots of people as there's lots of seating. If you're worried about covid then i recommend you get there early. There is hand sanitiser but with a buffet it's difficult to avoid touching the same surfaces and utensils. The food, juice and selection was OK but nothing special. Lunch / Dinner: There's nowhere else to eat on the island as it's so small. They seem to offer a buffet for lunch every day which is a bit bland for our tastes as I guess they have to cater to the masses. The a la carte dinner was good. I had the kungfisk on both the occasions we ate there as it was so good. The service is a bit random. There's no one in charge so the servers who are all young get by but if you want something you have to go up and order it yourselves sometimes. It can get busy with the day trippers at lunch time of course. Overall, I would recommend visiting especially in the shoulder season when it's a bit quieter.

KARLSHAMN HOSTELS and HOTELS, all rooms feature shower, toilet, fridge and TV and access to free parking, free wifi and a large well equipped kitchen or breakfast option in the hostel section. Karlshamn hostels and have good central location with only 400m to train and 5oo m in the other direction lies the town square in Karlshamn.
