I went to Iga-Ueno city and stayed at this hotel in 2016/2(Feb.). It is located near Iga-Ueno castle in Ueno park. The nearest station is Nishi(West) Ote station of Iga line and Ueno city station also near. Room is larger than general business hotel, roughly 1.5 times and almost all amenities are prepared. Air cleaner is also prepared. The loss leader of this hotel is large public bath of radium hot spring on the 1st floor. It is not so large but so comfortable and good for the people who likes hot-spring. There is one convenience store near this hotel and it takes 1 mins on foot. But in my impression, there is a few restaurant and they will be closed early. Then I recommend you to have dinner in the restaurant on the 1st floor. This restaurant also offers breakfast. Please refer to my picture. One thing I recommend you is to visit to Iga Ueno castle. It takes about 10mins on foot. I think it is so beautiful and elegant and you can have an experience of Japanese culture old days.

During a road trip with my family, I stayed at this hotel. The staff was very courteous and attentive - though I will say that they should have verbally warned us that the light in the room won't turn on until we insert the room key into a key hole by the bathroom. The hotel layout is similar to a usual "business hotel." Small rooms with little space to walk around. The rooms could have smelled a bit fresher, but apparently, guests are discouraged from opening the window in the Summer, because bugs will come in (the window lacks screens). So, why do I still give this hotel a "Very Good" rating? 1. Breakfast was surprisingly good. There were tasty sausages, two types of eggs, a variety of possibly locally baked breads, and other Japanese and European style side dishes. 2. Rice paddies - if you love nature, you can watch farmers tending to the rice paddies, and it is a beautiful view to watch the sun set behind small mountains. 3. Kizuna Yakiniku Restaurant - the reasonably priced Yakiniku (Korean BBQ) restaurant is within 1 minute's walk. Delicious meat in a casual atmosphere. 4. Free parking adjacent to the hotel. This hotel is certainly not luxurious, but was comfortable and provided something extra compared to a normal boring business hotel.

We appreciated the central location this hotel, close to the station and local restaurants. Although not really a top class hotel it provided facilities which much more expensive hotels do not, for example a trouser-press on each floor and a coin-op laundrette on the top floor, with a vending machine supplying beer, sake and soft drinks at reasonable prices. The restaurant was functional and provided nice food, Japanese-style only breakfast, lunch and dinner. Should I return to Uenoshi I'd happily stay here again. By chance we were lucky to be here during the Danjiri festival, which was wonderful to behold.

We had a very pleasant 2 night stay here. The staff were helpful and made sure our needs were met. When we woke up on the first morning, it was snowing. The girls, aged 4 and 3, were thrilled. We come from Singapore and this was the first time they see snow. Not used to driving on a wet, snow covered road, we decided not to venture into town. Close to the hotel is a little art and crafts centre. The girls learned candle making and wooden notice boards. The onsen at the hotel is also good, giving us a chance to unwind on a rather hectic trip. The food is nicely prepared. The first evening, we had a kaiseki meal and the second evening, French fusion, nice. I think a 3 night stay would have allowed more time to enjoy the facilities here. Unfortunately, we had to get on with our journey, what a shame.

The hotel itself is really quite and location is quite nice with 5 min away from ninja museum. However, the room and toilet in the room is quite small and bed is uncomfortable. Do not expect onsen bath here. Breakfast is quite ok

A big effort was put into this hotel at one time. Nice large clean tatami room with an overwhelming smell of old tatami. Family oriented with A LOT of tolerance for small children running around. Very good souvenir shop with ninja trinkets. Private pond wth Louvre style pyramid. Adjacent helicopter pad? Go with Japanese family or friends. Not foreigner accommodating.
