Good value for money
Reviewed By madbirdyLocation may not be ideal for travelers without private transport.Otherwise, it's a hotel with clean decent sized rooms that comes with free parking. I last stayed here in 2016 and it is obvious the hotel had gone some renovations to keep up. The room itself looks new, and gives a nice unblocked view of rice fields. Breakfast is normal buffet style. Do not miss having a meal at the Yakiniku Restaurant just beside. Reasonable pricing and very delicious!

Creaky accommodations close to the train station

Even though it was deemed a three-star accommodation and rated 'Very Good' on TripAdvisor, it honestly felt like the Motel 6 of Japan. My husband and I stayed just one night, which proved to be quite enough. For 11,360 JPY or about $104 for an overnight stay, our Twin room looked well worn as did the hotel itself with directional signs to our particular room posted in the wrong direction. Our bathroom looked like a set piece from an episode of "I Love Lucy". OK, maybe "Here's Lucy". The front desk staff, however, did their best, even though there seemed to be a different staff person every time we were in the lobby. The hotel's one advantage was its proximity to the train station which made a speedy exit most feasible.

Good base for the local sights
Reviewed By Michael LThis hotel is an easy walk from the station, about four blocks. As you're likely to be doing day trips out of Ichinoseki, proximity to the railway and bus stations is important. The welcome was friendly and our room was clean and comfortable. Some might find the big step up into the bathroom a bit hard to negotiate, especially during the night. There was an excellent breakfast spread, slightly different each day. We found the internet connection rather unreliable. Overall a good place to stay.

Trip to Chusonji
Reviewed By Kathy SWe decided to stay at Ichinoseki vicinity for our trip to Chusonji and picked this hotel. The service at the hotel was good and the rooms were clean too. If you call the hotel beforehand, they will pick you up at the station. (It is pretty far from the Ichinoseki Station) We had the breakfast/dinner package at the hotel. Breakfast was okay, but slightly disappointed with the dinner.

Reviewed By Maps804421今回の温泉旅も岩手県。メンバーは相変わらずの母と姉夫婦で4人。一ノ関の街から車で２０分くらいのなんも無い山の中の静かな場所。 建物は3階建てでとても綺麗な内装でした。 それでも3月の地震で至る所に被害を受けたみたいで残念です。 部屋は２階の檜風呂の有る部屋。1階はそれに+露天風呂もあるみたい。それでも驚く程満足のいく広い空間と綺麗な部屋。 4人で利用してもゆったりと過ごせました。 部屋の掛け流しの天然温泉の檜風呂も満足。私は部屋で3回、大浴場で2回風呂を楽しみました。 夕飯はちょっと高級感の有るディナー形式の創作料理。美味しいものを少しずつみたいな。これまでの温泉宿とは違った雰囲気。美味かったけどボリューム的にちょっと物足りない感じは家族全員あったのが残念。 夕飯の後は隣りの山桜桃の湯の演劇場で開催された劇団のショーを観てきました。これが予想外に面白い。高齢の母も大絶賛！ 朝食は満足できるバイキングで皆食べ過ぎ。 心ゆくまで楽しんだ温泉旅でした。実家から１時間程の距離なのでまた利用したい、良き宿です。

Average food, but great room and wonderful hot spring
Reviewed By Naomi FService was great. Food was nothing particularly unique or spectacular, but it was average kaiseki. Very good quality, with no special ingredients to speak of. The best feature is the onsen. The outdoor bath was dramatic in the snow. Rooms are large and very clean. It seems to be well kept-up. No visible wear-and-tear.

They're comfortable, within a 5 minute walk of a station, reasonably priced, have good facilities, WiFi and a hearty breakfast. Most of the desk staff I have dealt with speak some English - maybe not a lot, but enough to deal with checking in (and out) and basic navigation / directions.

I left my phone in the hotel and staff was kind enough to deliver it to the train station for me in order for me to catch the earliest train. Location is Close to the train station. Approximately 6 mins walk.
