Lying at the heart of Norway’s Western Fjord area, Hordaland is home to culturally rich Bergen, the country’s second largest city. Hardangerfjord, Norway’s second-longest fjord (and the third-longest in the world), is here too, and cruising along its scenic 110 miles is a top area activity. Leirvik, the second-biggest town in Hordaland, has the interesting open-air Sunnhordland Folk Museum. Set atop one of the country’s biggest glaciers, Folgefonna National Park has a popular summer ski center.

Breakfast buffet was fantastic! Room was clean and spacious. I’m not that infirm but I appreciated the retractable grip supports in the bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. A trainee at the front desk was discreetly monitored. All around excellent service and facility.

Stayed at the hotel last week and the experience was very enjoyable. Suzanne, Christine and Amelia were all great at their job. They helped me with directions, information and did their best to help me with an issue I had with a mail being delivered. They are a valuable asset to the hotel The hotel is conveniently located and the rooms-elevator/lift and restaurant were very nice. The breakfast was very good. However I wish the website would mention the airport bus. It asks us to take the tram-streetcar but I wonder if the bus is a better option. We also went up to the tower at the top and had a nice view of the harbor and city. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Stay at Scandic Ornen, centrally located in Bergen, close to the city's cultural centre, the Grieg Hall and Bergen Art Museum. Spacious and modern rooms, including accessible rooms. Try our fantastic restaurant Roast and Bergen's only skybar, located on the 13th floor with a fantastic view of the city and surrounding mountains.
The curtain in the room doesn't cover the windows leaving a big gap. The shower door can't be closed or easily open. The corridor in the lobby and the elevator area is very crowded. The breakfast is very crowded. The bed is super soft and uncomfortable.

We got our room at 1:30 pm. This was nice as it supposed to be ready at 3 pm. Breakfast is extremely good: hot meals, fruits, sweets etc. Smoked salmon was amazing. Room was clean, bathroom was big. Things which I didn't like: At 0:30am we were waken up by the fire alarm. Everybody in the hotel were surprised. We didn't know what have happened. We had to left our room and went to reception. There were a lot of people on the stairs. In the end alarm was false so we needed to back to our room. It was uncomfortable and not nice at all. We know that it is not the staff fault but anyway we would like to have calm weekend.

I stayed at Hotel Norge to attend a conference in Bergen. The hotel is beautiful and very well located in the centre of Bergen. The hotel is very close to all the sights. The light rail stop is very close, which is a very convenient way to get to and from the airport. The rooms are very well designed and compact. I stayed in a room with a mountain view and a view to the square and the lake. It was stunning! One downside is that the room does not have a wardrobe and very few coat hooks, which is unfortunate for one that travels with a suit. The breakfast has a very extensive selection. I highlight the bread which is among the best I ever ate. It was an amazing experience, the staff was very nice and very efficient. The Hotel Norge is the place to stay once in Bergen. I will definitely be back soon! Congratulations!

Citybox is a modern economy hotel with low prices. Our rooms are cheap because we keep our running expenses down, while still offering our guests what they really need: a simple and stylish room with a delicate bathroom, comfortable bed, a good chair, a desk and a place for hanging your clothes. Wireless broadband is available free of charge throughout the hotel. Citybox combines simplicity with comfort and low prices. The hotel is located in the centre of Bergen, less than 5 minutes walking from Bergen station. If you want to spend your money on something other than a minibar and room service, then Citybox is the place for you. Bergen is full of bars. Why do you need one in your hotel room?
Finding hotel from the cruise terminal was not too difficult but further to walk than anticipated. It is an unusual hotel with no reception just a coded registration and issue of room keys. Arriving at 10:00 had expected to just leave our cases but found we had access to our room. Knew there was no breakfast included but it was difficult to even get a drink of coffee in the communal area as machine was out of order. Room was clean, light and airy and functional but bed was a bit soft for my liking. Although on second floor above the street there was no noise. Shower enclosure was quite small and door did not seal resulting in a flooded floor. Check out was straightforward and all electronic. Never saw any staff to ask questions.

Located by Torgalmenningen and occupying the upper floors of the old stock exchange dating back to 1862, Bergen Børs is set to become Bergen’s most fashionable hotel – with a Michelin Star restaurant. A stay in one of the suites is a unique experience, and particularly the one in the former stock exchange manager’s office.
