Trysil hotel has been completely rebuild in 2017 and are re-opened with a new concept. The hotel now includes a cafe and artesian bakery, a microbrewery and a brewpub with a restaurant section. All rooms have a new interior design and furnishing. The new concept caters to active guests that enjoy good food and craft beer. It`s a biker friendly hotel with bike room, bike wash and a small service station for bike maintenance. Just inside the entrance is a shoe room for drying and storage.
We stayed in Trysil hotel and drove the 5 minutes up to the ski slopes for the last week of the ski season including the festival on the slopes and in town. This was agreat way to see some culture of Norway that staying in a ski apartment wouldn’t. We were a group of 5 fifty something British men. Trysil hotel is excellent for a group like this with the the bakery, craft beers and easy automated check in. It is cool without trying to be too flash/posh, it is simple and provides the basics in the room well, the staff are friendly and helped us make the most of our stay in the town. We ate in the hotel one evening and the food was excellent and everyone enjoyed the breakfasts each day.

Nestled in the beautiful ski resort town of Trysil, with ski in ski out access to the slopes, the Radisson Blu Resort Trysil offers guests a luxurious and comfortable retreat from Trysil’s abundant outdoor activities. Being one of the largest resorts in Norway, the hotel offers a wide selection of rooms, suites, and apartments, as well as several in house activity options. For fun off the slopes, visit the indoor pool area and try the popular surf wave Flow Rider. Indulge in relaxing spa treatments like facials and aroma baths at the serene Alpine SPA & Relax area. Challenge your colleagues or friends in a game of bowling in the 60’s inspired bowling alley. With 8 bars and restaurants, the resort provides exceptional dining, featuring everything from genuine Italian espresso and thin crust pizzas to a generous buffet of Scandinavian delights, and local traditional specialty dishes. Guests are encouraged to try all the different f&b outlets during their stay.
The Radisson Blu Resort offers both hotel rooms and apartments with a kitchen. The apartments can be booked through Skistar who also provide booking facilities for Ski passes and Snowboard / Ski rental. We took the skibus from the airport and it drops you directly at the front door of the hotel in Trysil. The hotel is modern and has a good feel to it. The staff are welcoming and we felt relaxed when we arrived as they handed out cookies and coffee. Even though we booked an apartment with Skistar the Radisson reception perform the check-in. Our apartment was spacious and bright with a kitchenette. We had pre-booked their main restaurant 2 weeks before we arrived and that proved to be a good plan as the restaurants were booked up with functions. We were able to dine at the Pizza restaurant one night without a booking but had to wait over an hour for a table. Most nights we ate in our own room as we didn't want to wait an hour or walk up to the restaurant area of the resort but we can recommend "Taste Mat & Vinhus" which is nice for a fine dining experience. The owner replies to emails for bookings. The ski-lockers in the lowest floor of the hotel are well setup and the skiing is generally good without being great. A slight wind can really freeze your face on the chairlifts (we went for the week starting 5 March) as they don't have any covers on the chairlifts and their is no Gondola so be prepared. We enjoyed our time skiing in Trysil and the apartment was a very good choice as it allowed us to eat in or out as we pleased. The hotel could do with another restaurant and a larger bar.

From its opening in December 2011, the hotel has successfully hosted numerous events and vacationing families, giving them a taste of the magical winter wonderland of Trysil. Spanning an impressive 33 000 square metres it is amazing how the resort manages with its warm and welcoming atmosphere, to maintain the feel of a remote mountain chalet. Offering both comfortable guest rooms and apartments it's perfect for families or groups of friends, the resort is the perfect choice for adventure seekers and those pursuing a mountain oasis. The resort offers an impressive Spa including both indoor and outdoor pools, several saunas and a wonderful spa treatment selection. After a day in the slopes enjoy the tastes of Trysil in Restaurant Barken while taking in the majestic views of the mountain or enjoy a casual dinner in Stabben Afterski & Restaurant.
Poor communication about closing at end of season. Mixed messages from staff. Restaurants closed without prior warning and hotel end of season closing time not communicated until mid-way through the stay.

I stayed one night in room 519. Nice room with 4-star standard, overlooking the town's east square. The hotel is quite delicate. I didn't have anything to eat there, just sleep. Unfortunately, it took me 25 minutes (!) to check in as they were understaffed. Only one clerk behind the desk. Except from this, everything was very good. Nice location in the middle of town centre, close to everything.

Location A fair bit away from the centre, nothing of interest near by. Enough parking space and bus stop near by Rooms: In desperate need of renovation. Smelly and does not look clean. I had to put a towel In the chair before sitting down. Bed comfortable enough . Food: good breakfast Atmosphere: appearently much used for conferences. Not a place you’d like to hang around as an independent traveller Staff: nice enough

Hotel right next to the viking ship in Hamar. We have rooms and apartments, in addition to lunch and dinner.
We stayed to nights in a cabin. The room was clean and inviting. Everything was good and a surprise since this is the first time I visit a hostel and I didn't expect it to be this great ?. I would rate the staff and surroundings and accommodations to 4 star's. Nice restaurant with good breakfast and lunch. Short walk to downtown. Great bed ♥️ very good value for the money. I will be back.

Choose the Scandic Hamar hotel and enjoy a quiet, central location near Lake Mjosa. 302 comfortable rooms, 2 restaurants and bar. Spend time in our gym or do business in 17 meeting rooms in total of 4500m2. An hour from the airport.
High standard town hotel, in walking distance to Hamar center. Our double room provided everything a guest can dream of. Good quality of bed, well thought-of bathroom with lots of shelves to put items on. Large & excellent breakfast buffet, incl. professional coffee machine with lots of choices. The only downside: reception area a bit cold and oversized. No atmosphere at bar.

Excellent traditional food and friendly service. Lifted our spirits on a rainy day. A popular place for the locals. Familyfriendly and good location. Well worth a stop on your way to (or from) Kongsvinger.

My wife and I were both going to undertake a minor operation at Tynset Hospital on the 24th September and decided to travel to Tynset the day before and as we couldn’t travel on the same day as the operation it meant spending two nights here. What a pleasure it turned out to be. The room was spacious although the bathroom practical it was verk minimal. However, we decided to eat in the hotel’s restaurant which was definitely a good choice. We had the salmon the for starter the reindeer the main course, finished off with the brûlée. The choice of wine was not extensive, but nonetheless very good. The house wine is also good. We didn’t feel particularly well after our operation, but the venison choice on the menu made up for that. The breakfast buffet was also excellent and the fact that you could help yourself to coffee at anytime during your stay, free of charge, was also a very good service. All members of the staff that we came into contact with were very helpful too. Highly recommended Ian

What a hot place! And that’s not a complement! Probably not an issue in winter, but was now. We’ve been on a road trip, and visited many hotels, this was by far the worst hotel. Great beds, nice bathroom, but over 30 degrees in the room ( brought thermonentor with us, the actual degree was 33) and no climate control. We had payed extra to get a better room, but that was money down the drain. We asked the lady in the reception if we could get a fan (we had stayed at Thorn Panorama in Oslo and they handed out fans). The lady in the reception told us , no fans but, night cooling would start at 23.00 in their ventilation system , did not happen. I ended up taking an ice cold shower at 2.00 in the morning, my husband went for a two hour walk between 1.00-3.00. Just to stay cold. The overall reaction at the reception when I talked about our extreme heat problem was unfotunately ignorant, to say the least. We have spent 9 days, in various Norwegian cities and hotels, same outside temperature, this was our only bad experience.
