Accommodations very tiny. Views are spectacular but there is no porch or low window to enjoy it from. Food is limited, expensive and quality is medium. Not easily accessible if you have difficulty walking.

Our spacious & comfortable rooms are furnished in beautiful hand made log furniture with recently purchased upgraded mattresses and bedding to ensure a great night of rest. Guest rooms are equipped with A/C, refrigerators, coffee makers, hair dryers, and flat screen cable TVs. Our amenities include a lounge , sauna, and hot tub, *( we no longer provide a free Continental Breakfast with the purchase of a room) We now have a top rated Restaurant on site.
We were traveling to Grand Lake from Boulder via Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park on US-34. At the time of our travel, Rocky Mountain National Park required a reservation to enter; the only time for the day of our travel I was able to reserve was 4 pm to 6 pm. Since the hotel had 48 hours cancellation policy, I checked the road conditions 48 hours prior to our check-in; there was no road closure at a time. However, when we got to the park around 4-4:30 pm we were told that US-34 was closed. I immediately contacted the hotel and was told by (I believe) Sherry Oliver, a rude and unpleasant hotel manager, that it was my responsibility to check on road conditions and cancel a reservation on time. I tried to explain that I did prior to the expiration of my reservation cancelation, but she didn’t care. She told me that we should take an alternative road which would take us another 3.5-4 hours to get to the hotel. This woman totally ignored my explanation that our time to enter the park was 4 pm-6 pm, that by the time we would be able to leave Estes Park and get to her hotel it would be way past midnight and that we already were driving all day. She simply didn’t care, so I told her that we would not be staying at that hotel. I managed to book a hotel in Estes Park to stay overnight. Around 9 pm girl called us from Gateway Inn to find out the time of our arrival. I told her that earlier I informed the manager that due to a road closure and late hour we would not be able to make it to a Grand Lake area. I also told her that due to unpredictable circumstances I would appreciate being fully refunded. The response was that the manager offered us credit to be used within (I believe) a couple of weeks; I explained to her that we lived in California and that there was no way we could/would come back within a couple of weeks, or months, or most likely years. We had a similar problem couple of years ago when one freeway was closed due to a road condition and another freeway was very congested. When I contacted the hotel manager, he understood the problem and fully refunded us even though the hotel didn’t have a cancelation policy at all. That is what I call great customer service and human treatment. I left a great review to the hotel and thank the manager for being a good and understanding person.

The room was adequate and was clean. It was disappointing that they are still using quilt covers on beds and have not switched over. Not providing breakfast was also a disappointment at this location as other hotels had begun having some coffee and at least fruit and cereal.

$200 a night for what would be a mid to lower end motel room anywhere else lowered my enthusiasm for the place considerably. Having a (teeny tiny) room for each bed was nice and there were plenty of towels. The beds weren't comfortable, though, the TV remote didn't work, and there was no coffee maker, though I heard later that coffee was available in the office. We didn't care that maid service wasn't available, but some folks might like to have beds made and towels replenished while on vacation in a $200 room.

Came up from Denver for a couple nights to celebrate our anniversary and stayed here. A quaint, rustic lodge only a few steps from the main strip in Grand Lake. The family running the place is super friendly... Their service is what puts this squarely into "five stars" territory for me. Highly recommended.

Terrible hotel. Dirty rooms, no air, old, worn towels. LOUD band that plays until 9pm RIGHT outside the room. So loud we got in the car and drove around until 9pm to escape the noise. Truly the worst room I've ever seen. Couldn't leave, prepaid room. Would give -0- stars if I could

My family and I stayed here while skiing in Granby. The price was less expensive than any other lodging in the area. Hosts were amazing, and the cabin was spacious and comfortable enough for us and our teenagers as it has 2 pull out sofas. The only issue was that it was January and the heat wasn't turned up in the cabin until we arrived, so it was absolutely freezing, especially the floors.

Location is not that great and no air conditioners in the room and not even a fan, on top of it there was mold smell and dust all over the place and the room was not clean at all. there was trash left by the previous people. the owners were were rude and not ready to listen at all. i ended up booking another hotel in the very next hour and had to vacate this hotel and loose my money. overall i wont recommend booking this hotel.

Grand Lake, Colorado lakeside hotel & cabin rooms, and condos at west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. All properties within walking distance to shops, restaurants and activities. Offering outdoor year round fun from boating and hiking to snowmobiling, ice fishing, Nordic Skiing, snowshoeing and more!
Outstanding views, friendly staff, comfy room with lots of hot water pressure in shower, and superbly located close to waterfront boat rentals and homemade ice cream stand. This place made our Grand Lake visit totally worthwhile, being able to view the lake and mountain from picture windows in our room and with a huge shared deck outside. We will definitely return! Ashley the front desk person was very helpful and accomodating.

We stayed there just one night--in the Tonahutu Room on the 2nd floor. The room is huge with a huge seating area and a king-sized bed. One window overlooks the creek. The décor is "vintage" and therefore funky. That area is quite comfortable, and the sound of the creek is soothing. The bathroom is small with a footed bathtub that is not very easy to get into and out of, and access to the room is up a flight of outside stairs. There are indoor stairs which may be available when the restaurant is open. Check-in was contactless, all done electronically. We did not see a staff person until we were leaving. We would stay there again if we could get that room. The location is great; a short walk to downtown.
