Grand Lake, Colorado lakeside hotel & cabin rooms, and condos at west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. All properties within walking distance to shops, restaurants and activities. Offering outdoor year round fun from boating and hiking to snowmobiling, ice fishing, Nordic Skiing, snowshoeing and more!
Outstanding views, friendly staff, comfy room with lots of hot water pressure in shower, and superbly located close to waterfront boat rentals and homemade ice cream stand. This place made our Grand Lake visit totally worthwhile, being able to view the lake and mountain from picture windows in our room and with a huge shared deck outside. We will definitely return! Ashley the front desk person was very helpful and accomodating.

Accommodations very tiny. Views are spectacular but there is no porch or low window to enjoy it from. Food is limited, expensive and quality is medium. Not easily accessible if you have difficulty walking.

We were traveling to Grand Lake from Boulder via Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park on US-34. At the time of our travel, Rocky Mountain National Park required a reservation to enter; the only time for the day of our travel I was able to reserve was 4 pm to 6 pm. Since the hotel had 48 hours cancellation policy, I checked the road conditions 48 hours prior to our check-in; there was no road closure at a time. However, when we got to the park around 4-4:30 pm we were told that US-34 was closed. I immediately contacted the hotel and was told by (I believe) Sherry Oliver, a rude and unpleasant hotel manager, that it was my responsibility to check on road conditions and cancel a reservation on time. I tried to explain that I did prior to the expiration of my reservation cancelation, but she didn’t care. She told me that we should take an alternative road which would take us another 3.5-4 hours to get to the hotel. This woman totally ignored my explanation that our time to enter the park was 4 pm-6 pm, that by the time we would be able to leave Estes Park and get to her hotel it would be way past midnight and that we already were driving all day. She simply didn’t care, so I told her that we would not be staying at that hotel. I managed to book a hotel in Estes Park to stay overnight. Around 9 pm girl called us from Gateway Inn to find out the time of our arrival. I told her that earlier I informed the manager that due to a road closure and late hour we would not be able to make it to a Grand Lake area. I also told her that due to unpredictable circumstances I would appreciate being fully refunded. The response was that the manager offered us credit to be used within (I believe) a couple of weeks; I explained to her that we lived in California and that there was no way we could/would come back within a couple of weeks, or months, or most likely years. We had a similar problem couple of years ago when one freeway was closed due to a road condition and another freeway was very congested. When I contacted the hotel manager, he understood the problem and fully refunded us even though the hotel didn’t have a cancelation policy at all. That is what I call great customer service and human treatment. I left a great review to the hotel and thank the manager for being a good and understanding person.

If you are coming just to ski - this is a great affordable option - especially for a short weekend trip. Better off in one of the many condos for a longer trip. the hotel was clean and staff friendly. Easy access to Winter Park to ski and enough of a kitchen to do breakfast in the room before hitting the slopes.

The hotel is centrally located with great restaurants right down the street. Safeway is across the street. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast, pancakes, eggs, meat. They do have coffee and hot water out all day which was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and spacious! The pool was small, but we enjoyed it. Overall a very nice place and we enjoyed our stay!

We take pride in hospitality, personal service, and our outstanding cleanliness beyond the corporate motel chain standards. Way overpriced for what the rooms, service and amenities are. At first, I chose motel because it was dog-friendly but their rules are that you cannot leave pets alone in rooms even in crates which I get (due to barking) so I left my pup home because hot springs don't allow dogs and I wasn't willing to leave him in the car in single digit temps. I chose the motel because it was close to Hot Sulfur Hot Springs. Staff seemed annoyed that I was checking in and during pretty much every interaction after that. Pizza and sandwiches available made at motel but super expensive for what you get but really no other options for food unless you go to Granby. I picked up a newspaper laying in the ground in front of the office door and front desk clerk scowled at me and threw it in the back office after I set it in counter. I get that it was a holiday and they were busy but I experienced really poor customer service. Some positives: the bed was comfortable and room was warm. No coffee makers in rooms so I walked to office in the morning in my PJ's and was given two cups of coffee in styrofoam cups with no lids. Got back to room and tripped and spilled coffee on bed accidentally. I told management right away as I was checking out. They texted me a few hours after I checked out and said they were going to charge me an additional $50 for the blanket because they couldn't get the stain out. I find that ironic as the clean towels in the bathroom hanging up when I got there had stains all over them. I get that they are a small/town business trying to make a buck but hospitality, kindness and courtesy go a long way. I want to help support small businesses during challenging covid times but hospitality is important. I'd recommend driving the extra 15-20 minutes from Granby or Grand Lake and staying at a hotel with much better amenities, rooms and service if you're planning on going to hot springs. For this stay, the convenience of how close Canyon Motel was to hot springs was not worth it.

The Hotel Eastin is located between Winter Park Co & Steamboat Co. This is a unique one of a kind Western Hotel. Stay where Zane Gray wrote his famous book, The Mysterious Rider. Other notable people that stayed at the Hotel Eastin are John Wayne while the movie "True Grit" was in production and Burl Ives. Stay in one of our theme rooms. Zane Gray, Miner's Cove, Colorado, Mustang Canyon, Painted Desert, Laramie, Cheyenne or one of our Boarding House Rooms. Hope to see you with us soon.
We did not have a pleasant stay for the following: The shower was out in our room! The room next door had a fully functioning bathroom and remained empty all night, as a host you should have switched us! There was no Roku controller in our room! You never returned our phone call with we called with issues! Where was the tea and popcorn when we arrived? Coffee in the am was a joke, the fridge was disgusting, the mugs looked dirty! Terrible customer service despite the note in our room “please call us if you need anything” PS the shower room down the hall had no locking doors! Will not return or recommend; considering a trip advisor report as it seems you are not willing to interact with guests at all! I did leave written feedback in the room and tried several e-mails to the host but all were rejected. It is an historic hotel but needs better management

It was an amazing experience! I have traveled a lot of places in the world and visited many hotels. It is not every time that I had the chance to visit a hotel with that many facilities and possibilities. As for the hotel itself, the room is super comfortable, clean, cute, and I love the look! I also really enjoyed that the place has great little free and healthy snacks for athletes to consider when they arrive in their room. One of my favorite things about my stay at Gravity Haus was the amazing full equipped gym! It was hands down the best I have ever seen in a hotel! The gym is super big and has plenty of room to work out! It is not secret, I love to have an active vacation, and this place has all the features I needed. I was also happy to have the chance to enjoy a great hot tub after a long skiing day! If you are an eco, healthy, fit, and fun person, this place is the best place to go! The restaurant is also amazing, and the food is super healthy and delicious... It was so hard to choose! One thing I really loved was the eco packaging they had for the cups. It is so amazing for the planet, and I am happy to finally see a hotel taking some action into this important cause.
