Reviewed By garypE6118JQParking at this hotel can be a disaster. During my stay, there were two events happening at the arenas adjacent to the Renaissance. There was ZERO reserved parking for guests and no valet service. As a disabled person, I believe the hotel should have at least assured that guests had some form of parking available. The hotel should have also given a heads-up to guests, WHEN CHECKING IN, that there might be road closures (traffic was diverted at least a mile), further complicating a decent hotel stay. I will choose a different hotel and location in the future. The valets used disabled parking spaces for cars that did not display a license or plackard.

Reviewed By moviegal226This is such a great hotel! Everything about it feels brand new, and I will absolutely stay here next time I am in the area. I chose the Home2Suites because it's within walking distance of Gila River Arena, and I was in Glendale for a hockey game. The hotel has free parking, is right across the street from an outlet mall, is about a 5 minute walk to lots of restaurants and bars, and is super comfortable in every way. Since the one-bed rooms only have queen beds (no kings) and I love to stretch out, I booked a two queen room. It's sort of fun having two beds to choose from! My room was spacious and well laid out. There was a nice mini kitchen area at the entrance, with a sink, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge / freezer combo. The in-room coffee maker was nice, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. There is a large seating area with a full sized couch and ottoman, as well as a large workspace desk with ample lighting. There's a curtain between the sleeping area and the sitting area, which would be nice if you were traveling with more people (you can have a little privacy). I would not hesitate to book this hotel when traveling with friends and family. There's a small closet with a few hangers, with a curtain as the closet door. This didn't bother me at all, but it may annoy some. Having a large refrigerator was awesome so we could have cold beer and sodas. The beds were super comfortable with really soft sheets. The a/c unit stayed cold all night, and is NOT one of those annoying units that turn off when you aren't moving around. I LOVE that. The a/c units are individual for each room too, so you aren't sharing central air with other guests. This is a MUST have for me when traveling during COVID times. I loved the modern decor too, and the large flat screen t.v. If you want to watch t.v. in bed, it's impossible to do so. You have to sit on the couch. That's not a big negative, but worth noting. The room had plenty of drawer space too, making this an excellent choice if you're staying for a longer period of time. Free wi-fi, an outdoor pool, and free breakfast make this place a winner! Bonus: check out the hockey-themed foosball table in the lobby!

Reviewed By MPritch1979The building inside and out is very nice and clean. The room was huge, clean, updated, and well maintained. The pool area is beautiful. The best part so far though is how friendly and accommodating the staff has been. Always greeting when you walk by, with a smile, and asking about your stay. The customer service is top notch and so refreshing to experience.

Beware of fraudulent management
Reviewed By Paul55555I had booked a free award night here, which Choice said included all taxes and fees. At check-in, they tried to bamboozle me and insisted that I had to pay $28.80 for taxes and fees. Only when I threatened to call Choice customer service about the legitimacy of the amount did the front desk clerk relent and waive the illegitimate amount. On my credit card only the usual reservation of $50 for “incidentals” was noted. When checking out, I received a correct invoice, which showed the $50 once as "Deposit" and below this amount is again listed as "Refund" In total as $0.00 total debt. A few hours after checking out, I found out that the management did not release the reservation on my VISA card as usual, but turned it into a real charge for $50.00. This kind of things do not happen by accident, especially if you have already used fraudulent methods to collect improper taxes beforehand. I can therefore only warn everyone urgently to look closely at the credit card statement at this hotel. Oh yes: An immediately sent e-mail to the hotel management was not answered even after 3 days.

We're right in between the Westgate Entertainment District and State Farm Stadium, an eight-minute walk to both. Loop 101 is a mile from us for quick access around Phoenix. Fill up on free breakfast before hitting the Tanger Outlets, also walkable, and cool off in our outdoor pool. We have board games and 24/7 coffee in the lobby, plus a fitness center.
Bad service attitude kills it

Negatives: 1) Juan Carlos who checked in provide incorrect information about room location, unable to explain well how having Hilton Honors membership could benefit me. When I asked for clarifications, he got defensive and accusing me of giving him attitude. 2) Cold shower Others: 1) The heater/air conditioner can blow right at you when sitting in the desk. 2) Good breakfast, fresh. Good selection. Cold shower, coupled with bad attitude by Juan so I don't recommend it. I don't care how clean or good of the facility is, when a staff has a bad attitude, it's not a good sign nor should I recommend it. It's unfortunately because I have appreciated the interior layout and consistency look and feel of Tru by Hilton.

The window curtain was completely see-through, there was nowhere to change. The sink had ceiling fans all over it. The shower had mold all over it obviously hadn’t been cleaned in weeks and the shower made such a weird awful sound when you tried to turn it on. The floors also had dirt. all over it and trash on the carpet. Do not stay here!!

Then said housekeeping not in and apparently no one willing to clean now that's working?? Unable to give me gen mgr name or # not allowed? Don't stay here!!! You'll regret it. Dirty and no recourse. I'm a Marriot bonvoy member 30+ nights a year and I had to check out and find another hotel.

High priced with little or no amenities

When looking for a Hotel, I asked central reservations what Marriott hotel is closest to being an Embassy Suites by Hilton. They replied with SpringHill. LOL, SpringHill is a Hampton in if that. The hotel is dated and old. Powdered eggs and other cheap foods for breakfast. I won't stay here again at almost $200.00 per night. This is more like a $99.00 per night place.
