Generally a quiet place graced with lovely terrain for strolling, Glastonbury is very busy in the summer because of its music festival. Best known for contemporary music, the festival has attracted almost 200,000 people in recent years (whereas Glastonbury's full-time population is only 9,000 or so). There are a number of historical monuments to see in the area, including Glastonbury Lake Village, Glastonbury Abbey and the Somerset Rural Life Museum. We can't say that the weather is always good, but on a sunny day you can't go wrong!

Unfortunately due to an unexpected house fire we had to very quickly book a hotel, the staff at Glastonbury premier did so much more than was needed! They put a very stressed couple at ease. Thank you ?♥️

Boutique Hotel, Restaurant and Bar in the centre of Glastonbury
The food was fantastic and Alex was an incredible host. The Vietnamese spring rolls especially were a great starter. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal in the Glastonbury area.

A traditional 15th-century village pub with nine letting rooms all with en-suite showers and baths, recently fully refurbished to a high standard and awarded Visit England 3 star rating. New for 2018, two ground floor courtyard rooms with luxury en-suite wet rooms, easy level access. Great selection of drinks from wines and beers to ciders and spirits. Dog friendly. Only two miles from the world famous Somerset town of Glastonbury
Our first opportunity to visit since it’s make over during covid. A nice luncheon for two, ribs with chips and salad, followed by dessert. A fresh pint of Cheeky Monkey or two. A warm welcome and friendly chatter with the front of house team. Definitely worth the effort of walking there. Walking back after was understandably more difficult but equally worth it. The menu is a little different in its content so be prepared to have to deliberate over the choices. There’s some wonderful flavour pairings on offer. The tempura gherkin was a revelation!

Accommodation, Farm Shop, Retreat Venue, Event Space and Spa set within sixteen acres of apple orchards, paddocks and gardens. Located et at the base of Glastonbury Tor a short distance from Glastonbury town centre or a short drive to Wells, England's smallest city. Ten self-catering stone cottages that sleep between 2 and 6 people, 2 log cabins and 2 Glamping E-dens. Indoor swimming pool and steam room. On site farm shop and cafe. Spa facilities for both resident and non-residents. Yoga building and group space for day or retreat use.
We have stayed at Middlewick a few times - and it never fails to provide rest and restoration for myself and my family. The cottages that we have stayed in are always comfortable and clean. Our favourite is Tor View and also the E-dens. The available walks are unbeatable and reconnect us to nature. The site and staff are friendly and welcoming. And did i mention the spa and new farm shop. We have many precious memories of our stays here and Middlewick always has a little je ne sais quoi.

No.1 Park Terrace is situated close to the town shopping facilities, within easy walking distance of the High Street and Glastonbury Abbey ruins. There is ample car parking space to the rear of the property. We are also close to a bus-stop for local public transport connections.
Stayed here for one night to visit Glastonbury. It’s no longer a b&b but had a fully equipped kitchen, essential items left for us by super owner Joanna and Morrison’s is a stones throw away if you needed anything. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed, perfect en suite shower room and easy walking distance from the town centre, leave the car and off you go, perfect! I think it might be closed now for a while for redecorating but wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay again?.

Dating back to the 15th century, the George and Pilgrims has various areas where you can while away the day over a pint or a glass of wine or enjoy one of our delicious and freshly prepared dishes; our style of cuisine is classic British with a French influence and our menus change seasonally to get the best ingredients for the time of year. Our bedrooms and bar and dining areas all reflect our age and history.
This historic, character hotel is rather let down by their restaurant… We paid around £165 for a flexible rate including Breakfast and booked to have Dinner with two friends that Sat night. When we sat down at 7:30pm we were advised that some items had ‘run out’ - some? It was about half the menu!! Yes it was busy weekend but it turns out if was actually down to poor stock control… Then for breakfast - I was denied a Cappuccino with ‘we’re too busy at the moment, I can get you one AFTER breakfast’. Pah - too late then! (And I can’t drink filter coffee). So if someone walked in off the street asking for a cappuccino - you’d say the same to them? I feel as Residents, we were treated poorly. After all - when you pay to stay somewhere - it’s not just for the bedroom you are paying for, but ALL the facilities the hotel offers. In truth the whole experience was not worth £100 let alone £165. Room no. 5 was excessively noisy with the constant sound of running water - the whole time?. Thank goodness for ear plugs, But a big shout-out for the professional, friendly Receptionist - Molly - who I watched sort out various things throughout the weekend - including us! Ta.

Bed and Breakfast accommodation
We had the most wonderful night at Chestnut B&B. The hosts were so welcoming and went out of their way to give us the most brilliant vegan breakfast selection. We had so much to choose from- fresh bread, fruits, berries, vegan cheeses, yogurts, 3 types of milk, 10 types of cereal. It was above and beyond! The room was spotless, bed comfy and shower excellent. The whole house just has a lovely energy to it plus it's only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Glastonbury town which was perfect. we couldn't reccomend this b&b more, and we shall certainly be back and will convince our friends and family to book too! Thank you so much to you both.

Our B and B is located on the High Street of this historic and colourful town of Glastonbury. The 8 Owls has the true flavour of an old inn, but with all the amenities of a modern boutique hotel. The central location of this ancient town makes an ideal base for day trips to much of what Somerset has to offer; historic monuments, beautiful countryside, the Georgian town of Bath and many more attractions. We warmly invite you to come and stay.
Stayed with my two children on a Saturday night. We used the check in details and our initial reaction to the accommodation was that it was wonderful. Very spacious, clean etc. The bathroom was a little disappointing with paint and a shower panel coming away from the wall. The kitchenette was well stocked with all you would need to cook meals for a longer stay (obviously minus the food). The trundle bed was a nice touch in the main 'loving' space. I've never stayed in Glastonbury before and it was somewhat of a last minute booking the Thursday before when I found a discount through booking.com. So I'll admit I didn't do thorough research of the area that the b&b is located in. (So taking some responsibility here). When we arrived I realised that it was literally right next to the Assembly Rooms (I had no idea what this building was used for), it was heaving outside the b&b entrance. I didn't think much of it as it looked like families - we went inside and I realised that the main bedroom window was situated right on the side of the alley next to the assembly rooms, again, I thought it would just be open during the day and that the massive amount of noise coming in to the room wouldn't be an issue. Until I saw a sign about an event that was taking place later that evening, so I did a quick Google and soon learned that a band or two were due to be playing that evening in the assembly rooms. From 8pm swaths of people were arriving. Loud, somewhat lairy and drunk. The window in the main bedroom has no purpose other than to block rain and wind. Every single thing taking place outside can be heard as though you are in the alley. The noise of drunken arguing, shouting, dogs barking etc went on til 1am at least. I may be wrong here, but I feel as though the owners should be making people aware either through their website (or third party websites) and when potential guests call to book a room that the b&b is situated next to a music venue. I also feel that some soundproofing and better quality windows wouldn't go a miss. My children and I barely slept. We then had to drag ourselves over to a pub to have breakfast (my fault for not checking that this would be the case, I just saw that breakfast was included and thought 'great'). I absolutely won't be returning, which is a shame as the accommodation itself is lovely, I just feel that there should be more transparency and communication regarding the neighboring buildings and what they are used for, particularly for family bookings.
