Nice family hotel
Reviewed By kitim51We are family of 3 who recently stayed 3 nights. The service staffs are really friendly especially Cristy who checked us in & also serve us breakfast. Cristy was v nice to upgrade us to the junior suite which was spacious. We even got the konus card which gave us free transport ard Black Forest. The location of hotel is good, just outside the city & only 8 min walk. For arrival & departure we got transport to& fro the train station which is a bonus as we don’t hv to roll our luggage all the way.

Lovely boutique hotel but some of the service let it down
Reviewed By KzrooWe booked an apartment for five people in this hotel, two adults and three teenagers. When we arrived at the apartment it had only been prepared for 3 and it took several requests to have bedding, towels and coffee brought to the room for five. That said the apartment was modern and well equipped and the hotel was small but nicely developed blending a very old building with newer additions. The next morning we headed into breakfast and were asked by the owner/manager how many in our party. On replying five we were met with surprise and some concern given number of limitations due to Covid restrictions. Breakfast was excellent lots of choice and good quality food. Service was great - very helpful and welcoming. Overall a lovely boutique hotel in a beautiful town with lots to see and do however we didn’t feel welcomed as a group and it felt a constant battle to be recognised as a family of 5.

Reviewed By Austin PWe had a wonderful four-night stay at this hotel in the lovely village of Gengenbach. This hotel is only a short walk from the train station and in the old city area. Breakfast was very good with eggs prepared however you like them, coffee, teas, juices, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, yogurt, smoked salmon, vegetables and fruit. Rooms were modern and the bathrooms were large. They were extremely accommodating to us as we were traveling with a toddler. They provided a crib & had a high chair waiting at a table for us in the restaurant for meals. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!!

Everywhere was spotlessly clean, inside and outside, the décor pleasant and the staff very helpful. All the young staff worked hard and kept tables tidy and were pleasant dealing with requests. There was a good choice at the breakfast buffet and it was kept topped up. Staff were very vigilant and always available. We were a group so dinner was a limited choice. The quality seemed to go downhill as the days went on but it was adequate. Although we'd ordered in advance there were still a few muddles but they were sorted out. There seemed to be a slight lack of organisation in that department. The bedrooms all had balconies which were a good size. As they were covered you could still sit out if it rained. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. There was a pleasant courtyard where you could have a drink and other diners could eat. I would have liked to give the hotel 5 stars, but for the fact the food wasn't as good by the end of the week as it had been at the beginning. Still a lovely hotel and would be more than happy to stay in again.

Reviewed By DaphnemajoorSuper mooi en groot appartement voorzien van alle luxe. Parkeren kan bij P2 voor 2 euro per dag. Wij hadden appartement Heimat, bovenin. Helaas was daardoor de WiFi instabiel. Op de badkamer het beste :). Heerlijk bed, airco, ramen kunnen verduisterd worden. Keuken met alles er op en er aan, maar geen basis benodigdheden zoals zout, peper, olie etc. Dat moesten we dus eerst nog kopen voordat we konden gaan koken. Maar verder super!

Reviewed By moltoparticolareYou won’t get greasy schnitzel and french fries here. This restaurant has a very creative and delicious menu for all tastes including vegetarian. For example we had a delicious appetizer which combined fresh veggies in a reduction sauce with a goat cheese foam. Their main dishes include meat options and inventive vegetarian creations. All of this without any stuffiness or pretension. The staff is very helpful and truly interested in your enjoyment. Prices are reasonable.

Bang for the buck
Reviewed By HenryWastelandHotel was quite new part of the building. Parking was free and though there were only two floors, elevator was available so it was easy access with luggage. Room was good size and really clean. Our room was facing backyard so view was less impressive but room is for sleeping anyway. Wines were good and also restaurant was really decently priced. Breakfast was on of the best during our seven day trip in Germany and fantastic points from the service. Thank you!
