Nestled in a tranquil location in the heart of the Embilipitiya town lies Pavana Resort. Pavana Resort is a perfect place if you are planning to have a vacation packed with exciting site seeing around the area such as safaris in Uda Walawe or Bundala national park, exploring the rubies & emeralds of Ratnapura or day at the beach in Tangalle or to have a break in your pilgrimage to Katharagama.
We stayed in Embilipitiya because we wanted to visit Uda Walawe national park as during September and October the Yala national park is closed for visitors. We spent 2 nights and they organised everything to do with the safari where everything was super smooth. However the highlight of the hotel was its pool which we did not anticipate. The small pool was very clean and was a gem. We spent hours and hours in it. Overall highly satisfactory stay.

My wife and myself stayed at your hotel as we had to attend a wedding the next day. We had lunch and dinner. Which was quite good and the service was very good. As we booked room only due to the wedding we requested the Front Office to change our bookings to HB. Which was totally denied. Rooms 301 & 305 on the 26th. I suggest that the hotel be a bit more flexible in handling these matters especially during these trouble times. Otherwise the Front desk staff was friendly and full of smiles.

Mr Saman did greet us in his Villa by himself. We had an amazing and very lovely stay here at the beginning of the year. Mr Saman did drive us around for free and showed us some great places around the corner. The food he offered was fresh and prepared by himself - very delicious. We did visit Udawalawe national park the other day and did see a lot of elephants. Saman Villa is the perfect point to start a tour. Thank you so much for this awesome stay Mr Saman.

From the moment I arrived until the moment I left I was treated with highest kindness and hospitality. The room was very good for the money you pay. The owner organized my safari including pickup and drop off at the Inn. I even got complimentary water and snacks for the safari. I can also recommend the great breakfast! All in all a great place and I will visit again!

A home away from home. Located in a calm and quiet friendly little community. It's a four nice and neat decent size fully loaded lodges. Also our friendly staff will accommodate your every needs and look after you like family.
Recently I have booked the whole place for a 30 people birthday party of my brother. We have contacted the owner and ask to do a full outdoor function with karaoke and music until late night. The organising was outstanding and was fantastic. Food was first class and simple. There was more than as n enough for a little over 35 people. The service was excellent and a room was offered at the end for the little kids as they got sleepy. It was all worth for the price. Nice place to have a private function like this. Thank you owner.

My friend booked our room for us, so really we had no idea what we were going to get. We have been in Sri Lanka for 6 years and was totally impressed with the accommodations in this small town. The owner was extremely helpful ... and actually lead us to a good restaurant for dinner. In addition to the wonderful hospitality, the rooms were well equipped (sometimes hotels that are priced right have less than quality towels or linens - these were great) Great breakfast. Rooms very clean ... a/c ... hot water ... everything we needed. Will definitely book again if we go through this area again!

I had to experience the worst hospitality service in my life. That ruined my hard earned holiday completely. They were serving a group of drunken people at the restaurant depriving us the dinner. We had to pack our stuff and leave in the middle of the night.

Sarathchandra Guest House offers modern rooms with garden views. Featuring its own restaurant, the property provides free Wi-Fi in its common areas. A 24-hour front desk, garden and bar are also available. Located in Embilipitiya, Sarathchandra Guest House is 100 metres from Food City and 2 km from Chandrika Wewa Lake. It takes 25 minutes to drive to Udawalawe National Park. Hambantota Town is a 40-minute drive away. All rooms have a flat-screen TV, desk and electric kettle. A seating area and private bathroom with shower is included. Sri Lankan and Western cuisines are served at the on-site restaurant.
The room was fairly comfortable , with an A/c that worked well. But the noise that went on was very disturbing and the loud music, total sound pollution. When we complained we were told that this would go on for the next half an hour. We were going to work the following morning in Embilipitiya. Room service took hours, and the food bill was exhorbitant. For a simple dish of Onion Sambol they charged Rs 1000. They are also in the process of renovating, the premises were a mess and the noise of drilling was gruesome. The reception and the dining area are much to be desired.
