Common theme - awful customer service
Reviewed By Waffles2304Nice hotel but charged a self parking rate for the night of $24 despite me having no car. Receipt emailed after leaving the hotel and It is then impossible to get through to complain about this and get a refund issued - no email address and do not look at messenger messages. We are international as many guests will be as it’s near to LAX so a phone call doesn’t work but I’m sceptical they would answer that anyway. Reading the Tripadvisor reviews I feel there’s either a large level of incompetence or some actual deliberate scamming going on. Either way it’s not good for a chain like Marriott. I do not recommend.

Reviewed By I8301AFmichaelkOne of our worst hotel experiences in 2022. Staff is more or less unfriendly. Room is dark and scary. Bath needs a renovation. “Shiny” onsite amenities, but behind your room door you will find dark, tiny, broken rooms. Due to our last stays post Corona we already realized that cleaning service might not be a daily service, nevertheless we were informed on that in every single hotel before. Not here. Nearly ever service we took needed to be requested / verified several times. Not the service we are used to as a gold member. My personal favorite was the “nice” view: backyard of Fairfield Inn and all the nice trash out there.

The price is worth it because it is closed to the freeway and you can go everywhere in SoCal from there. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, I never hear any noise from other rooms or in the hallways.

After spending a wonderful week at Disneyland, my family and I decided to stay at the Embassy Suites LAX South in El Segundo to catch an early morning flight back home to Ohio. We needed two rooms to accommodate the five members of our family. Based upon your website and its online reviews, we felt confident in choosing this hotel. First, both rooms had a strong stench of cigarette smoke. In addition, to the overpowering cigarette smell, both rooms were very dirty and unsanitary. In room 472 we noticed, the couch cushions were covered in stains, and after a closer inspection, we found caked on food on the sheets and mattress of the pull-out couch with an overpowering smell of spoiled food. We also found chewed up bubble gum stuck to the walls near the main beds. In room 469 we found two bedbugs in the seam of the mattress. I immediately contacted the front desk and they moved us to room 466. Unfortunately, the second room had a strong cigarette odor, busted lampshade, and hair in the shower. We called neighboring hotels to find two rooms to accommodate us but they were booked. Finally, our sleep was disturbed all hours of the night due to the loud noises outside our doors. We left at 3am for the airport only to discover that two members of our family had inflamed and irritated skin. Staying at this hotel put a damper on our vacation. This experience is not at all what we had expected and had we have known the state of this hotel and the level of noise outside our doors we would have never chosen to stay there.

It was a very busy weekend for events around town and for the same price, we would have to have looked at two star hotels, which we were hoping not to do. Check-in was fine. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice. Room was nice, no complaints at all about aesthetics or cleanliness. We didn’t eat there. The bar and eating areas seemed popular in the morning. The area is safe but not interesting in any way. Definitely would suggest coming with a car. Food on sight is on the pricey side, but the selection looked good. A few restaurants around but not walkable. I thought it was an excellent value.

Mixed bag over two stays within a week of each other
Reviewed By PhillyLoverThe first two-day stay was in a newer part of the hotel and I felt was in line with the price paid. The room was clean enough, quiet enough and comfortable enough. When I checked into the hotel for the second two-day stay a few days later, I was told that I had been upgraded due to my Marriott status to a better room. As it turns out it was in an old part of the hotel with an outside entrance (like an old motel). The room was dated, dreary and smelled a bit of mildew. I was exhausted from a long drive and it was my own fault for not going all the way back down to the lobby to request a nicer room. There are several places to grab a quite bite nearby. They charge a lot of money for overnight parking (not valet) that is in an open lot about a block away.

No Housekeeping!! Stay elsewhere
Reviewed By stnguyen97We stayed for a total of 4 nights. Checking in was easy we revived a little goody bag with snacks as a welcome for staying. At check in we were told housekeeping doesn’t come everyday and that they would come on the 3rd day. We were fine with that except they didn’t come.. on the 3rd night we were laying the bed and noticed some stains on the sheet!! We didn’t realize it since it was at the foot of the bed tucked in. We had slept on dirty sheets the entire time! With housekeeping not coming we had to call for a new set of clean towels. I have read reviews before booking but didn’t catch anything about rooms not being clean. The lobby is clean the pool is nice but I don’t think that out weighs dirty sheets. You do have to pay $18 a night for parking I read somewhere in the reviews that it was gated and across the street? That incorrect it’s a normal parking lot and they give you permit you’ll need to leave on dashboard. Honestly spend the extra and go stay at the Hyatt or Hiltons that is down the road. I will not be staying here again

Still a Comfortable Stay.
Reviewed By rodger646We and our children have stayed at this property for many years. It is convenient with much shopping and eating places around. The property still in good shape although carpets in room getting worn. Staff were friendly but we were not aware that one policy that the management had changed was that they no longer provide daily maid service. Bit disappointing when one goes out the whole day and returns to the room at night to find the beds unmade and dirty towels still on the bathroom floor, and the cleaners had gone home for the day. In all, we still enjoyed our stay there. The beds were comfortable.

Reviewed By ID451The shuttle is a joke. Don’t depend on the shuttle unless you are willing to wait for 1.5hrs. The hotel is old and worn out, go to other bigger hotels. Old carpet, smells. Towels very thin, guys go and buy new ones $9.99 at Macys. Shuttle driver rude.
