Very disappointed and not satisfied with this hotel. Worst 4 star hotel where i was in my life

Reviewed By on4ajtForest side is the translation of "Bosrand" in Dutch and that is exactly where the hotel is situated just outside of Ede. It takes just a few steps from the parking lot and you are already midst of nature. Rooms are spacy and beds are good with soft bath linen. As they are claiming special cleaning attention due covid 19 it was a bit disturbing finding soap leftovers of former guests in the shower next morning so it was already to late to ask for changing rooms and leaving a doubt about the serious cleaning/desinfecting claim due covid 19. Breakfast is standard buffet, all items covid proof packed with little variation but with enough choice to avoid it becomes the same every day unless you are a big breakfast eater. Connected restaurant is serving rather standard dishes with an daily meal offer, don't expect anything fancy, with average quality. Staff is very friendly and helpfull.

Reviewed By Sjaak DThe entire experience feels like a warm shower, the room was OK, not like a business hotel, more like a bedroom at home. Great people and great food. Obviously is the next door National Park "Hoge Veluwe" a must.

Harrassed on vacation
Reviewed By angelaaY7686YJWe had a good time on our holiday a few weeks ago. However, on the day of checkout, housekeeping knocked on our door at 1012. We were late in checking out and they were anxious to get into the room. I apologized for the delay (my son had been ill) and asked them to give us 10 minutes or so to finish packing the car. They knocked on the door 2 more times within the next 5 minutes. They had also waited outside the door and were watching as we were loading our vehicle. The leader of the group called the reception desk. At 1022, a gentleman from reception came and told us we were late checking out and was tapping his watch. My husband had just finished showering and was pretty upset by this. After a brief confrontation, the gentleman left. At 1030 we were at the front desk. The woman there asked if we had a nice stay, we said that it was great until we were harassed 4 times to leave. We have lived in Europe now for 12 years, and this is the first time we have ever been treated this way. We have stayed at 2 different Topparken parks and this will be our last. We had to ask for an apology, which was reluctantly given. We were very upset to be treated this way. Even our young children asked why we were being rushed to leave the premises. I never want to be treated this way ever again. On holiday, we were supposed to have a great, relaxing time. The cleaning staff were rude and could have moved on to another room instead of insisting that we get out immediately. The manager should have been apologetic, and not been so immediate to defend the cleaning staff.

Reviewed By Juli KHorrible guest relations. We were really looking forward to our stay and made this a priority on our visit to NE. My husband tested positive for Covid and I called to either cancel the reservation or change the date. The staff on the phone was rude, unkind and completely unwilling to assist to resolve the matter. A HUGE disappointment!

Beautiful place
Reviewed By Jeanne Marie MOtterlo is a beautiful small town, next to the national park De Hoge Veluwe. The hotel was really nice, the room was ok for a 2 night stay, the personel also very nice and the restaurant rellay good and affodable. The only thing, is that even though breakfast was really good, it was a little bit expensive for what it was. But we would definitly recommend this place to visit the park.

Reviewed By brigitsolomonThis campsite has recently been taken over by new owners and there were some administrative teething problems BUT the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the facilities very good and access to the various parks and attractions excellent. A site catering for all ages and a very good restaurant.

The bed in the master bedroom is terrible, one or 2 days will do, but not a midweek. Also not much space to organize your clothes. Kitchen and bathroom; Mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers, no towel hooks for your towels inside, no hot water after 11pm, no water at all when it freezes. The service after complaint is okay.

Although you see little indications of the religious nature of the owners here and there, e.g. no alcohol policy, it did not disturb us at all. Staff was friendly and nice. Rooms were old fashioned styled, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was standard and OK. Breakfast hall was really huge compared to the number of guests at that time. Value for money

Good Location, bit expensive
Reviewed By Leonie OMy sister and I stayed 1 night at this hotel on a Saturday night in June. We were on a driving holiday in The Netherlands and had not pre booked any accommodation. We were very lucky to get the last room, it was about 6pm when we got to Otterlo. At 119 euro for 2 people including breakfast we thought it was a bit expensive. There did not appear to be a lot of accommodation choices in this town. The rooms were of a good size, ours was down stairs near the front door, so you could hear people coming and going. There were facilities to make tea or coffee in the room, unfortunately the coffee and sugar had not been replaced. The restaurant was not open the night we were there, but we had a lovely meal at the Italian restaurant just up the road. (walking distance). Breakfast was at their sister hotel (cheaper rooms, but booked out) just up the road. It was a good spread. We had a great morning riding the free white bikes in the National Park. We did not visit the Kroller Muller Museum.
