Pensiunea Taverna Ceahlau beneficiaza de o locatie foarte convenabila chiar in centrul statiunii Durau. Va oferim cazare in 6 camere ce au WiFi gratuit și balcon cu o panorama superba - vedere la munte, poti admira Muntii Ceahlau sau lanţul muntos care te inconjuara. Fiecare camera are baie proprie Autobuzul Iasi- Durau opreşte la 150 de metri de Pensiunea Taverna Ceahlau. Pârtia de schi Durau este la 200 m.

Reviewed By Mihaela TExtremely good food and excellent service. It is an wonderful place to have lunch or dinner. The portions are big and the taste is awesome. The personnel is kind and quick. Their recommended dishes are perfect. Just trust them! They certainly know what's best!

Reviewed By Florin RThe hotel is recently renovated. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly and willing to help. From this area I think this is also one of the best places to eat. Also there is enough parking spots and the hotel is very close to The Mountain.

Reviewed By EugenCThis is one of the best placed I've stayed in in Durau. It's close to the ski slope, as well as to the Durau monastery (with features some awesome mural paintings). The food in the restaurant was good, my little girl was more than delighted about the schnitzel. The rooms are OK in size. Also, room cleanliness was not an issue, on the contrary. We liked that the shower was separate from the bathroom, at least in the room where we stayed. The balcony was quite large, which, if the weather permits, is a nice place to sit and enjoy the view and the sounds that come from the forest nearby. Smoking is not allowed in the rooms (there are smoke alarms on the ceiling), but I noticed it is permitted on the balconies. As a negative, the handle of the bathroom window was broken, which made opening / closing the window a challenge. Also, the opening mechanism of the small window from the shower room was not functioning properly. These things should be checked every once in a while, as such malfunctions are not fit for a 4 star location. All in all, the experience here was a positive one. The staff were more that kind, polite and always ready to assist. Thank you for everything!

Reviewed By gheorghitabuThat guy (the owner/manager) has to be banned from working in public services. He is rude, and he thinks that he possesses absolute knowledge about how the world should be. The first time when I stayed there, we interacted mainly with his wife. She was nice, and we enjoyed our weekend without any problems. 3 stars for amenities (based on our previous visit).

Christmas ruined
Reviewed By C2648BQirinapI've booked two rooms for Christmas Day. They've cancelled my reservation 5 days before Christmas, without giving alternative. The manager that i've spoked too he's rude and not very polite. They said that the pandemic it's the fault, but my assumption is that they give the building to someone that gave them more money. It's a romanian practice near Christmas and New Years Eve. We don't have travel restrictions inside the country nor in this zone.

Deplorable

We didn't find rooms anywhere else so we had to spend a weekend at this hotel. 200 lei/ night ( about 50 usd- for Romania pretty high price ) and apparently 3 stars hotel. Cleanliness exists but it is completely missing! The bedding was acceptable, but otherwise everything emained exactly as in Ceaușescu's time. Even the carpeting that I don't think has ever been changed or cleaned! We made the mistake of dropping something under the bed and almost drowned in the dust and dirt underneath. Some superficial renovations from many many years ago: walls painted with splashes over the dirt, the decent bathroom but with the rusty, depressing shower. It is a pity and shame that the company that owns this hotel, Transmarflemn does not renovate it but asks for a hefty price. And the most shameful thing is that this hotel is considered 3 stars...the appropriate romanian administration reaponsible with the audit and évaluation of the ranking of hotels how do you explain this????? The area is wonderful and the landscapes amazing.. but the hotel disgusting. I hope that in the future things will change. But until then I hope that we , the tourists will continue to make reviews and maybe make a difference.
