On the banks of the lovely Elbe River, the German city of Dresden is lush and green, filled with forests and gardens and parks. The city is rich with cultural and artistic history; the great operatic composer Wilhelm Wagner debuted a number of works here in the 1800s and, today, an independent light opera company keeps the classical art form modern and fresh. Culture vultures will love the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister and Grünes Gewölbe museums, and architecture buffs will salivate over the mélange of styles reflected in the cityscape.

What a nice trip it was! From the beginning to the end. We were warmly welcomed at the reception even we were so late because of huge traffic jam. Also even if it was very late we were served in professional way at the bar. Very nice room and comfy bad. Clean room without any spot of dirt or dust. Breakfast delicious and on high standard. Car park could have more spaces available for hotel guest but this time we were lucky and we had a few spaces to choose. We can't wait to come back

21 suites, this exclusive luxury hotel combines contemporary architecture with Baroque styling and is located in the historic old town besides the Church Of Our Lady "Frauenkirche". Our French gourmet restaurant as well as our spa facilities are opening onto terraces with unique city views over Dresden.
This is first time when I have nothing to complain about a hotel! Simply the best! Room very clean, spacious, well equipped, etc. Also, the staff is very professional and extremely kind. We felt at home! We will definitely return here!

This was not the first time I visited this hotel, but I come back every time with pleasure. The location is excellent, the breakfast is rich and the staff is very kind. Next time I will be in Dresden, I will book this hotel again.

Had a very comfortable four night stay at the Premier Inn in Dresden. The hotel was within walking distance from the main train station. We arrived around noon and were happy to find out that our room on the third floor was ready. The room was large, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The staff provided us with information to navigate Dresden. We enjoyed a filling breakfast every morning. We would definitely stay here again

We chose this hotel for its location, easy to get to from highway but not too close to city. Rooms were reasonably roomy on ground floor. Room to park car. Breakfast was good. We ate dinner here and while food was good, meal options were limited due to small size of kitchen. Service was excellent. We stayed 2 nights, went to Prague via train for 1 night and then returned for a 3rd night. We visited the old town of Dresden to see what reparations had been done following the bombing in WW2. It is beautiful. From our hotel took a short bus ride and then a short commuter train ride.

The hotel is a short walk from the train station and to the center city with museums, restaurants etc. The hotel staff provided a map and directions and we were on our way. The rooms are large and a wonderful break from the small boutique hotel rooms in the Czech Republic.

The elegant Maritim Hotel Dresden is situated right on the banks of the Elbe, between the Semperoper and the International Congress Centre Dresden. The hotel is very impressive, housing stylish rooms within a building that is a protected monument. The direct connection to one of the most modern Congress Centres of Germany makes the hotel an ideal hosting venue for events. The old city with the famous Frauenkirche ("Church of Our Lady") and the Zwinger can be reached by foot within just 10 minutes.
Hello everyone, I booked two nights in Dresden to discover this city. In any case, I would recommend anyone to come and visit the cultural pepite that is Dresden. I spent almost 300 euros for two nights - paid in advance. I drive on Friday night to Dresde and I call around 1 hour before arrival to confirm we arrive as a form of courtesy. Someone answers my call and explains me that actually I have been relocated in an hotel nearby because of overbooking practices. It seems they have a regular agreement with this hotel - so this accident is a usual practice by them. I am pretty upset about it and the hotel confirms on the phone they are in their good rights because the standard of the room in this new hotel is the same. I let you check by yourself the Penk Hotel - we are very far from the luxury promised with the Maritim - but I am not here to review that hotel. I arrived finally in Dresden by the Maritim and instead of finding some apologies about what happened, I find a self-righteous person that is undermining my problem and kick me out in 5 minutes like a 2nd class customer. There is no misunderstanding possible. I am sent on 11 o clock in the evening to the Penk Hotel - even if I paid already for the room in the Maritim. We are allowed to come back on saturday to spend the second night in the Maritim (thank you - this is too generous), so we have to transport our luggage in the middle of our weekend. The hotel offers us to store our lugagge and give us some breakfast vouchers to compensate. The hotel is beautifully decorated and in the center of the city, the breakfast was generous and the spa-pool area was good. Unfortunately what happened is not at the level that we could hope from a luxury hotel like the Maritim and this middle-age man that received us on 20 August evening only made things worse - I do not expect red carpet but it is not too much to expect understanding and friendliness when the hotel did a malpractice. I will not risk to go to a Maritim hotel ever again - please prefer the Westin/Hyperion or Hilton Hotel - they deliver a much better service in the same price range. I would have loved leaving a better review but customers need to be informed about such practices - especially when we pay around 300 euros on 2 nights. Regards, L.

Just a short walk from the main railway station, with excellent transport links to all the beautiful attractions Dresden and its surroundings have to offer. With 163 single, double, and family rooms, as well as multi-bed dorms there is something for every budget and taste. Younger guests will be delighted with the kids’ corner, and there are also parking spots and a meeting room. You can enjoy a game of tabletop football, play some billiards, or treat yourself to a drink at the snack bar on the roof terrace – we’ll throw in the magnifi cent view of Dresden for free.
We were looking for a simple stay for our family with 2 adults and 2 small kids, and the family room at a&o is exactly what we needed. The staff is speaks English, is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean. We didn't have any food there, so can't comment on that.
